Here we are again... back with another monthly Plan With Me video! It feels like I just made one last week, but I guess it's already been a month 😂 For February I decided to go with an Art Nouveau Self Love theme, and TBH I was terrified to film... but luckily, it turned out much better than I expected! I know some people wanted me to continue on with Art Deco for the whole year, but I felt like we would all be sick of it after a few months. I felt Art Nouveau was a happy medium! Similar vibes with the minimal gold, but something a bit fresh and new ☺

Oh my this is extraordinary. Truly your painting is so lovely as if you were a student of Alfonse Mucha. You continue to amaze me. I prefer art nouveau in clothing design and home interiors from the era. I do still love art deco especially in architecture; as a child I lived in a building designed by Ricardo Mira ( in another country) the architect who truly created magnificence in art deco style.

I love both too :) I used to be infatuated with Art Nouveau when I was writing and illustrating in my mid to late twenties, but now I'd say the more minimalist vibe of Art Deco appeals to me. But still I couldn't choose one, I love both :) And you have rendered both beautifully. Thank you for sharing your talent and inspiration with us :)
I prefer Art Noveau for it's freedom - I love Deco in terms of design and geometry but personally am more of a free-flowing kind of person. Would you consider looking at Noveau's resurgence in the 60s/70s with the psychedlic twist for a different spread? I find the art and music posters from this time totally fascinating in both the references to Noveau and in their differences, and how this reflects the different concerns of the time and their responses to other movements and historical events!
I'm a total art history nut, and late 19th - mid 20th is my fave

Oh goodness an April theme of Rococo paintings would be to die for. The fluidity and colour palette of paintings such as Fragonard's The Swing embody what spring means.

I could honestly never pick between Art Nouveau or Art Deco. Both are gorgeous. I am also a huge fan of French Impressionism and post impressionism

Art Nouveau is a perfect style to match with Self Love, especially for women with its gentle, flowing lines and femininity. I’m going to use your weekly layout again as I’ve tried others and yours works better! I love the shimmery gold, so cleverly layered! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I also think that having a Bullet Journal & creating spreads is an act of Self Love in itself. 💓

I will try some Art Deco on my journal but keep away from Art Nouveau. Although I love the floral art and greenery of the era, I’m not an artist and I know it would just end up looking like a mess 😂 I suppose I could ask my husband to do a cover page for me (he’s a graphic designer) but then it wouldn’t be my own and there’s more satisfaction in creating it myself. The whole idea for me to do a journal is, (as well as collecting my thoughts) it is a creative outlet.

You have gorgeous hair and it is perfect for a muse in a Mucha painting. Since we are on art, it makes me think that you'd be a perfect model for a painting from the Pre-Raphaelites, for example, Lady Lilith by Dante Gabriel Rossetti.
