I have vw vento and believe me there after sales service is unbeatable.
And also vento was imported from germany that's why its parts and service was very costly but virtus is made in india thats why its parts and services are now more ecconomical.

Buying a car became a tough task because of the number of variants. However, car with high comfort, low maintenance and which is already well known and successful in the market (which inturn because of all these factors) is a better choice. So, I prefer Honda City to VW Virtus. Thanks for the video. Heard a lot about Fiat engines. So wanted to see the comparison between Honda city & Fiat Linea. Thanks.

Service centre guys stole my car parts in VW. There was no address mechanism for such issues .
How is skoda service, are they costly to maintain and theft of parts ?

Volkswagen could have hit it out of the park had they undercut the city in pricing by about 60-70k making up for they relatively less reliability and more maintenance.
Tried both cars yesterday. Already being VW owner I liked virtus, it’s handling and all. Performance was decent in 1.0
Braking etc was good.
Driving feel and dynamics were quite good and i felt familiar as I have been driving Vento.
Then Tried Honda city but it was Automatic variant as Demo.
Engine performance didn’t amaze me probably due to Automatic. Even after hard accelerating it wasn’t really picking up. All I could hear was more and more engine noise inside.
Rest of the feel was okay not good not bad. But just didn’t feel connected to the car. Didn’t feel it glued to ground and I felt whole time like it’s not my car. My body wanted to get out of it.
May be vw offers better handling and everything in terms of driving hence honda city didn’t amazed me much. But it’s an okay car.
Build quality goes to Vw anyday. Honda city doors and metal touch were feeling way lighter.
So for previous honda owners City will do justice but didn’t do justice with me.
I also feel same, actually honda city was my dream car , but after taking test drive of both car side by side I like virtus more,, as it feel more sturdy, driving pleasure was much more in virtus.. so now I m in hesitate which one to buy ,, as honda city look wise feel better,, but more fun and driving pleasure I got in virtus..

Since suspension is stiff, I believe there should be minimal body roll. If you are planning to buy, then you should take test drive and check by yourself.
For those concerned with safety and ease of driving the ZX CVT of City is unmatched. VIRTUS does not have ADAS so fails basics on safety.

It has the ground clearance of 180mm same like xuv300 enough for rough roads or off-road and yes it is sedan.. city has soft suspension then virtus nd seems stable at high speed . I don't think so I'm lacking in knowledge here but yes i will try to learn from you also if i got to do so😹😹

Obviously VW Virtus because of the Turbo Engine instead of slower NA 1.5 iVtec (Honda offers as a premium offering as 1.0 Turbo 3 cylinder in Thailand). Virtus because of the build, dynamics, braking, features, brand snob and looks.
Side Note: 1.5 TSI DSG Virtus cannot be compared, it is the best under 25 lacs for the buyers who know cars inside out including Engineering involved.
Mature Buyers will go for Honda City but if there budget is not an issue then go for Virtus 1.5 but 1.0 is a big no infront of 1.5 Vtec

Virtus 1.5TSI for performance. City for Overall better car. You will enjoy Virtus 1.5TSI inside towns but you will hate its fuel efficiency. City is perfect blend of performance, comfort, looks, tackling bad roads, reliability and resale. For me Honda City is the winner because its VFM.

Honda City Top variant ❤️ offcourse Manual one, but i choosed CVT coz its fun to drive and more over the luxury i feel is top notch.
Only bad thing is infotainment System 🥲but if you're opting for other just because of this issue. I don't think it's a good decision.

CVT is very slow and economic and noisy transmission. Some time it's difficult to ovetake even ....It can not fun to drive....just drive VW 1.0 TC....it's amazing.

Buy VW at your own risk. My 5 years old 1.5TDI DSG variant got serious fuel system issue(whole internal plumbing got corroded) and got a bill shock of 2 Lakh to replace all fuel system. They didn’t cover it in paid extended warranty 🤧. Now god forbid the infamous DSG issue which costs 2.75 lakh to replace in long run.
I have seen 10-14 years old Honda cars and heard they are far more reliable.
Beware of VW brand I am a victim 😵💫

Booked both city and virtus. Will take final decision after virtus price reveal, expectations are they will be similar to slavia buy still counting on any introductory offer.
My budget is 16L, considering the price city feels more vfm (City vx cvt compared with Virtus highline AT vs slavia ambition AT). However VW and skoda definitely feels more premium, build quality is better in VW and skoda. But inclusion of 6 air bags, connected car features, auto dimming irvm, sunroof, 8 speakers, more comfortable seats makes city a better choice. Also AC problems have been reported in 1.0 engines in slavia, kushaq and Taigun, which may likely keep me away from virtus.
