Man i really don’t think anything will surpass this game for me. I hope it does, but i just can’t see it. My Body is Reggie I found out a matter of weeks after posting this that the updated version of the track with the extra percussion appears to be a revision that was only made available as a part of the Game of the Year Edition's Soundtrack CD, it seems clear from other sources that the GotY CD tracks never went used in the game outright but I do feel that it was a missed opportunity; it's similar to how the Sonic the Hedgehog Boom soundtrack disc came with complete versions of Spencer Nilsen and Howard Drossin's tracks for Sonic the Hedgehog CD, the disc had extra samples and note sequences that weren't in the original game and helped deliver a new insight to some level themes (Palmtree Panic Good Future and Metallic Madness Bad Future, especially), most games don't get such treatment nowadays and that's why I appreciate when Vinyl OSTs do similar (Mania and Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn, most notably in recent time).
