Erwan don't mind his appearance in his vlog. He carries a big shoulder bag as he walked all around the market with his hair unnoticed. Yan ang totoong gwapo, wapakels sa itsura, basta gwapo, gwapo talaga..
These are the types of vlogs that should be supported because it introduces us to our culture that we ought to already forget.. di yung mga puchu2 na wala man lang sense!!! Good job Erwan!!!
Govt. Should put more effort in preserving the rich food heritage of the whole Philippines. Erwann is more Filipino than most of us. Kudos Erwann thank you for your efforts in educating the rest of us. ❤❤❤👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Muchas gracias Erwan & FEATR for featuring Cavite City again! Adobong Seca is my Mama's and the Kare' is my Papa's specialties... the Pats' pianono and creme puff is my childhood favorites... and of course the Bibingkoy is the all time favorite of the whole family! You make me more proud for being a true blood Caviteňa! ❤
Nagpunta kami jan sa cavite city para bumili ng bibingkoy, hindi namin nakita yun store nila aling ika. Tapos ngaun meron pa palang famous pianono at cream puff jan wow.
parang lokal si erwan sa etibak. love this channel! no pretentions, keeping it real. shot selection, well researched, giving tribute to the local culture. galing!
My known ancestor, Datu Kalun is actually from Cavite, and later migrated to Lamitan, Basilan in Mindanao. I am really surprised and in awe that Chavacano is also spoken in some parts of Cavite and not just in Zamboanga and Basilan. Filipino culture is indeed amazing.
Wow thank you Erwan, now deciding to have a retirement house in General Trias will make it more enjoyable eating my favorite foods and those very new/old eats I’ve missed out on ❤️❤️❤️ thank you thank you 🥰😇😎🤙
Sir, your contents now is a way of showcasing the richness of our beautiful Philippines in anyways! Keep on rolling po.its so nice and proud of it .🎉❤😊thanks a lot 🙏
Thank You so much for featuring cavite city. I miss my lola’s adobong tagalog and kare kare.. I lived with her inncavite when I was a kid. She passed away at 90. She was a great cook and all the dishes you showed here were staples in our home. I would always request her to buy us kesong puti from cavite wet market 😢
I was born and partly raised in Cavite City until I migrated here in the US. I remember going to the main source where Aling Ika cooks her dishes that she will serve for the day. “ E. Mariano St. “ in San Roque almost every other day I would go there to buy my breakfast. Trust me, I know all their menu because she’s just my neighbor. Her cook “Mang Reny Pekto” was also my next door neighbor.
Kudos Erwan, for digging and researching some aspects of Cavite City's food culture and history (of course, with the help of your great resource person (Ige Ramos)). For me, this is such a great travel down to memory lane (born, grew up in Cavite City and lived there until my early 40s). A big thank you!!! ❤💙💚
Thank you for a video series with substance. Presenting my country's cuisine vis-a-vis its history, culture, through the lens of its people in their diversity rather than the stereotypical touristy caricatures. Thank you.
I would so buy a collection of all of the soundtracks for all of the episodes if they offered it up for purchase. FEATR is such a low-key exploration of the musical cultures of the respective populations in the PI.
Hello! New sub here! Found your channel yesterday. Watching from Southern California. My Maternal grandparents were from General Trias and I still tons of relatives there. I am loving your content! Very informative and learning a lot from it. More power to you and your Channel. You definitely deserve more recognition.
This was another beautiful and educational experience. I appreciate the passion because it's present and you can hear from their conversations. Keep on opening doors to history, food, and culture. Maraming Salamat ❤
Thanks for this video on Cavite and its rich history including food history. I was born in Bayan Luma, Cavite and grew up in Imus. My grandparents and their children, my mom cook all of these food specialities like the kalamays, unique homemade longganisa, unique dry adobo, and so much more. This video brings so much nostalgia. Grateful!❤
Merci beaucoup Erwin! My husband is from Cavite and this is interesting to learn so much about the history....my husband would tell me about their delicious food. Next time we go home we will definitely visit those places. We are from Canada. 😍
i love this episode. we are from salinas cavite and these food i remember when i was young. i hope they include troso - a bread i know is also a cavite staple. cavitenos then also cook pague - sting ray with luyang dilao and tocino that is dry and not sugary! ❤ im remembering days where i pick up atsuete fruits and get the seeds :)
My mom is from Cavite City and she would make us panic lug lug. It had vegetables like a typical pancit but it also has the palabok sauce. I have never seen it or had it anywhere else nor does anyone I know make it that way. I am in the US so maybe if I went to the PI, I would find it, who knows. Thank you for doing the food tour with us. I don't know how you don't gain weight. Mr Ramos, thank you for your dedication and continued pursuit to educate us about Filipino cuisine...
My Dad was born and raised in Cavite City, there's a Carinderia named Asyong's not sure if it still open, my Dad used to take us there and the food was awesome.
i wish a lot of fermented food will be highlighted in the market the way kimchi was embraced in our country. I am genuinely curious of burong mustasa. I only know atsara so far.
It’s amazing how there are so many variations of buro as well. Being half panggalatok, i grew up eating burong gurami. It was a such a nice surprise stumbling upon rizal buro and nueva ecija buro
Tilbok, kagyos with horse meat and alibangbang, dry adobo, tinapa with dill, fresh brewed coffee were some of the food my grandparents, aunts and uncles prepared when we were young especially during fiesta. Not to mention the pandesal in Bailen Cavite remains the same. ❤
I really love your videos. I’ve learned a lot about different stories of different cities/provinces through food. Hopefully, you can visit South Cotabato ❤❤❤
Thank you for featuring Cavite! For me it’s like revisiting and discovering the province I grew up but just now knew the history of some food from different cities and towns! Ending at the Aguinaldo Shrine is kinda nostalgic!
Damn, Erwan. Your convincing enunciation of Spanish nomenclature might be credited to your French heritage? It would be interesting to see you exploring the French colonial culinary heritage of Viet Nam. Wishing there was a Double Like Button for the soundtrack to this episode.
I'm new to cavite and searching for a great food restaurant here. it's nice to know na may ganyang palang kainan parin 😊 .... Sad part ngaun sa cavite .. puro foreign food na karamihan mga restaurant dito ..
Thank you for demonstrating and sharing this entertaining but also educational YT video about our Cavite. With that said, I will visit and stay longer in this section of the Philippines. Plus, as a bonus, it's a short ride from Manila. Everyone who watches your videos should promote them to their family, friends, associates, and everyone on social media. LET'S GOOOO!!!!
Erwan don't mind his appearance in his vlog. He carries a big shoulder bag as he walked all around the market with his hair unnoticed. Yan ang totoong gwapo, wapakels sa itsura, basta gwapo, gwapo talaga..
Champion ka erwan. What a way to educate people. Mabuhay ang Pinoy Cuisine! Thanks erwan and to Mr. Iggy Ramos, too. Topnotch!

I love how there's a huge difference between upland and lowland food from Cavite. I hope you continue this series but with the upland areas of Cavite.
Exactly 🙂
I want upland too. I'm Upland Cavite. 😻
"Duon ka muna sister" really got me haha 13:39

I like how mr. Ramos explain how we could help our farmers by serving their products on our table....
Bravo! Excellent as always!
Cavite and Bulacan, two provinces that has the same vibe as modern tagalog provinces with preserved spanish influences
Damn, Erwan. Your convincing enunciation of Spanish nomenclature might be credited to your French heritage?
It would be interesting to see you exploring the French colonial culinary heritage of Viet Nam.
Wishing there was a Double Like Button for the soundtrack to this episode.
Another facet of Cavite culture, knowing the province through its food
