It’s really funny how you get a brief look into what kind of setups Brian and Olivia have in their home, her regularly doing remote play her audio is that good podcast quality meanwhile Brian sounds like he’s playing from a 2008 fps lobby
he most likely is using the cam mic instead of an actual mic, if he does have one it isn't set up properly
For 19:45. Despite what the name seems to indicate, Ulalek is not actually a fusion of the titans Ulamog and Kozilek, but is rather a spawn of both lineages. I think of the influence the titans have on the world surrounding them, how they spawn their brood and warp reality, to be like a lens overlaying their immediate vicinity, with Ulalek being the result of two of those lenses overlapping.

I never thought I’d be a correction commenter, but I was rooting for Olivia, so I want to help! I believe when Omo attacks you put a counter on a land and a creature. I was watching and that is actually so cool with avenger, cause then things with everything counters are also plants haha!
While we’re on the topic of singular vs plural creature types, I would like to submit that, since Eldrazi is plural, the singular should be Eldrazo.
Not sure if I'm more hyped for seeing MH3 cards in action or seeing a pod with Brian and Jim.

ENGAGEMENT LOVE Y'ALL It does amuse me that usually the idea is to show off these decks. And in both Hijinks and Commander At Home, literally no one recognizes they can and should be putting everything counters on a land AND a creature. You get to do both! It doesn't have to be one or other! Make everything changeling AND tap your cloudpost for 20 mana!

ENGAGEMENT
11:30 Eli couldn't cast that Eldrazi Confluence. It asked her to pay two colorless, she only had access to one. Arcane signet doesn't count colorless as a color identity for its ability.
Later on at 40:20 she has the two colorless but taps wrong for it in a way that she wouldn't be able to pay for Ulalek's colorless trigger. Less agregious since she COULD play for it, but I am curious what Eli thinks the colorless mana symbol means or if she's convinced things that tap for a commander's colors include colorless.
PSA: colorless isn't a color, arcane signet, command tower and friends CANNOT make colorless mana. AliasV used them as if they could multiple times, although I think it only actually mattered for the confluence.
Correct me if i'm wrong but Eilidh didn't have the required colorless mana pips for that Eldrazi Confluence, right? (11:20), she did it again later when copying Drowner of hope ability with Ulalek, but she had the pips at that time so she could've just fixed the way she paid mana at that time.
Wizards really should have just stuck with Eldrazi Scions going forward. Having cards that make both in the same set seems like a strange choice.
Question: Why is the everything counter only played on the land? Can't is also be played on a creature as well? Why would you not want to do this? Also, if you play an everything counter on a token creature with multiple copies, do all of them get the counter or just one of them?
Any time a pyrogoyf comes out, the disa player is immediately the problem. They should have made a deal with jim to not use pyrogoyf triggers instead of killing him so that kibler wouldnt get it back.

I know that the deck is built around lands, and that it would be an unnecessary clutter of the board state, and that it's optional, but I just want to see someone put an everything counter on a creature when they attack with Omo.
Love seeing how these decks played and so differently from the @commaderathome game did.

i thought when a player died all permanents they control including stolen ones exile. So how does Brian get the pyrogoof back?
Before things get exiled, control changing effects end. If another player controlled a permanent affected by a control changing effect, that player regains control of the permanent, and it's not exiled along with the dying player's stuff.
"put an everything counter on each of up to one target land and up to one target creature." Doesn't this mean that Omo makes two counters, one to a creature and one to a land? Since it's AND.
It does :) though the deck doesn’t benefit much from putting it on creatures, I’ve noticed many don’t bother doing it because of that 😅
"The Graveyard Deck is a major disappointment!!!111" - And once again, the graveyard deck got the win... EVERY Gameplay uploaded so far shows the graveyard deck contesting the win or winning it... low Reprint Value doesn't mean that the deck is bad. Low Goyf-Count doesn't mean that it's bad (in fact it was never sold as goyf tribal but rather graveyard deck) - sure there could've been a bit more support for Disa... but from what the uploaded games show... Graveyard Overdrive is a powerhouse
Also: Ulalek ain't the fusion of Ulamok and Kozilek... I mean they're individual beings in the set too... Ulalek is an advanced Spawn of them... actually... he's... well.... let's call them Mommy/Daddy Ulamok and Mommy/Daddy Kozilek now ok?
People were expecting a reanimator/tribal deck and it's not that lol. Boomer Jund is so much better tho.
Also Olivia barely did anything with it in commander at home, but Boomer Jund is NOT her playstyle at all.

Something Olivia seemed to forget: Cloudpost's effect. Since the Everything Counters make the lands every type of land they also become Land-Locus and make Cloudpost tap for at least 4 each time. There's also the other Locus land which means it's 5.
So she shorted herself A LOT of mana.
Wanted to make this note for people looking to make the new 5 Color Eldrazi deck (not a criticism). When Eilidh cast Eldrazi Confluence she wouldn't be able to technically since her only production of Colorless at the time was the Unclaimed Territory. Just like to let people know since you do see colorless/waste pips in the cost of the commander but the way the land+rock is worded they produce only colored sources.

Awesome episode! Love seeing the Commander Horizons 3 Precons in action! The decks play very differently and seeing them all do their thing was great.
So I play theft a lot. In the rules compendium, under "Multiplayer Rules," it states: "When a player leaves the game, all objects owned by that player leave the game and any effects which give that player control of any objects or players end..." (Notably, the effect which gave Jim control of the Pyrogoyf had already resolved and was no longer active). "...Then, if there are any objects still controlled by that player, those objects are exiled." The Pyrogoyf would be exiled. It wouldn't go back to Brian.
Confiscation Coup creates an indefinite continuous control changing effect (CR 611.1). That's the effect that ends when I lose the game.
This is covered in the Act of Treason example in 800.4a, which you quoted.
@@TheSpikeFeeders If that is the case, then what possible situation could allow for "any objects still controlled by that player?" It was my understanding that continuous effects on the board (such as an enchantment, or a Sower of Temptation, or a Mind Flayer, etc.) ended, but effects which had already resolved caused exile in this scenario.
Edit. Looking at the examples you mentioned, "Act of Treason" is only in effect for one turn. This scenario is more closely related to the Bribery example listed in that ruling.
@@DatadasPrime That bit refers to the Bribery example in 800.4a, and the distinction comes from which player originally moved the object to the zone it's currently in.
In the scenario in this game, Brian put the Pyrogoyf onto the battlefield, so he becomes its default controller (110.2). I then cast Confiscation Coup, creating a continuous effect that changes its controller to me. When I die, that control changing effect ends and the game sees that Brian is the default controller and he regains control of it.
If I had cast Bribery (or Reanimate, Gather Specimens, Animate Dead, etc.) targeting Brian and put Pyrogoyf onto the battlefield under my control, I am the default controller and when I die it gets exiled.

How was Eldrazi Confluence cast? It requires 2 colorless mana and 2 generic. I only see 1 colorless and 4 generic when it was cast (uncharted territory - colorless; island, swamp, command tower, arcane signet - generic)

Most likely a misplay. Thinking that commander tower and arcane signet can tap for a colorless as well. (It cannot for those that aren't sure)
Pretty sure this was a common misplay in the episode. Wasn't the drowner also copied with the signet?

11:06 @Jim The copy has Fabricate inherently, but it also has the additional one from the original Cayth, so you should Fabricate 1 twice
Cayth only gives your nontoken creatures fabricate. So the copy has it because it's written on the original card, but the original card doesn't grant an additional instance to the copy .
Reminder: Ulalek's trigger requires 2 Colorless pips. Command Tower and Arcane Signet can't create Colorless mana. I believe you still had the appropriate lands to create the necessary mana, just wasn't tapped in the proper order.
