Shame TCG is now charging us even more now in Canada including shipping tax, our 4 carbon taxes, internet sales tax and HST plus none of the shops in my area use it for price matching instead making they're own prices to maximize profits. Playing MTG and buy cards and accessories are getting very expensive up here now.
And actually, Brian made the evolving wild come into the battlefield tapped, (Should have entered untapped), had he realized, he could have cracked it in response to the other removal, making even more scutes!.
Thanks for raising awareness for testicular cancer. My dad had it in 2017. He's fine now, but it was rough to go through. Interestingly, he had the same kind of tumors as the two brain tumors I had when I was 15. So... f**k cancer!
So precon this days cast ~ 20 spells per turn, draws near 30 cards, and deals over 100 dmg. on attack... all 1 turn... all this when opponents have over 500 creatures (and to be fair, it was really over 1000)... Love the casual level of MTG this days :D Amazing Episode :)
@1:03:32 He says "we put cards in the sleeves" but I think the joke is "we put the hole is wholesome" in case anyone was wondering. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Olivia legit struggling to hold it together during "sleeve up, stay safe" was a marketing gem. I don't laugh out loud at many things, and that made me legit laugh out loud.
@@pascalsimioli6777 Because it's about supporting a creator that's putting out content that people enjoy. I understand that I could get such a shirt made. The shoutout to the hanky code has me rolling! I’m a custom harness vendor and literally watching this on my way to a leather event called CLAW. I’ve also instigated several games of commander AT leather events
I had a very straight coworker once who decided to start accenting his style with colored hankies in his back pocket. The other elder queer in the office and I just started laughing in the lunch room.
@39:49 Brian drops a card and it falls face up. He snatched that thing so damn quick, eyes went "👀" at the other players. My man went back to a pro tour for a second😂
Joey is a treat at every table he graces with his presence, and this game was no exception. Thanks for having him, and please have him back soon. This has to be one of my favorite episodes so far.
GameGenic makes a giant box that is hands down my favorite gaming product ever. It handles 6 commander decks with massive storage left over for tokens and dice. When I’m not playing magic the dividers pull out and it’s my D&D night in a box. It’s RAD AS HELL.
Love y’all ! We finished our first standardized tests today for Texas STAAR , mind numbing 4 hours as a teacher !!!!! I love relaxing with a nice drink and yall on the screen it reminds me of game nights with the friends at the LGS
As someone who was unfortunate enough to end up with testicular cancer, but lucky enough to catch it early on, I love that you guys are promoting awareness for it!
Great group. I had to the pleasure to play against Daniel holt and his heroes of the realm kamigawa commander at magiccon. It was great. I respect joey input
I was watching an having a few thoughts in my head but to keep it short an sweet I was thinking with all the garbage out there it was nice to have you all but especially appreciate more Brian, he seems so genuine, an freaking quick/smart as a whip. Then in the middle of me thinking that the savings the balls clip came up. 😂 I needed that. Just sent me.
Yeehaaawwww!! Magic at Home while I'm at home! Edit: as Daniel was popping off with all those spells the hand shaking is exactly how I feel when things start working out. 😂
That's a pretty insane turn for a precon. I have a spell slinger deck but I'm very tempted to get this precon and do a mid level upgrade. The commander is wild.. also goes infinite a million ways.
More of this!!!!!!!!! Laughed so much, amazing decks too, loved seeing the precons. Representaiton matters, loved it! I think Joey should team up with the magic artists and setup and e-store for pride to sell those coasters :P
1:01:12 why are we talking about the number of cards drawn in the turn here? Lock and Load lets you draw for the number of instants and sorceries you cast before it. Am I missing something?
Friendly reminder: Sagas triggers after the draw step, not during the upkeep. It doesn't make a difference during this game but it might make a difference during next games. Wink wink. (To be fair, a guy in my LGS had a different turn just because of this. He had a cool card on the top of his deck and he was sad that he wasn't going to draw it due to his saga milling him.) As stated in this episode:"Brian rarely makes misplays and I'm going to take every little chance I have" (not the exact same words I guess, but you get the point xD) The misplay was only during chapter 2 of Mending of Dominaria (22:39), the final chapter was done after the draw step.
Friendly reminder: Sagas actually trigger on your precombat main phase, not on your draw step. This is relevant if they somehow make mana, for instance!
As I said: it triggers AFTER your draw step. not during your draw step or during your upkeep. It's on the reminder text: "As this Saga enters and after your draw step, add a lore counter"
Definitely laughed a lot this episode. The highlight was pausing Daniel’s turn to have a gay tangent(tm) only to be concluded with “and for my second spell.” Gold.
1:01:11 Daniel misplayed Lock and Load. He should have only drawn a card for each other spell he cast this turn, not for each other card he drew this turn. He also explained it incorrectly when he first cast it that turn as well. Not sure if he would have still been able to kill the table if he did it correctly. ( edit: spelling)
13:07 Olivia said exactly the thing I was thinking in my head but was not brave enough to say. I, also a gay, may so boldly say we let her host gay brunches.
There was a slight miscalculation with the scute swarms as the 4 in play are the only ones that see the 3 lands enter, so each would trigger 3 times giving 12 scutes in total, total of 16 before the evolving wilds was cracked.
Chrono Trigger deepcut, was not expecting that. One of the best games of all time 💯 Olivia you could pull off a killer cosplay of either Ayla or Marle.
Seeing that even veteran Magic players struggle with the mental upkeep for the Quick Draw deck… I feel WAY better after feeling like I was completely lost on how to play that deck for the first couple times yesterday.

Chaos warping a scute swarm token into sun titan make a scute swarm token is maybe the funniest play I've seen in the last year.
And actually, Brian made the evolving wild come into the battlefield tapped, (Should have entered untapped), had he realized, he could have cracked it in response to the other removal, making even more scutes!.

The "Oko - Not That One" edit was gold
Eilidh is hilarious
I laughed way too loudly at that. :D

Not to mention the slow zoom on the head scritches @17:45

Amazing Episode :)
Now 4 months later we have bloomburrow which adds fuel to the fire.
"Sleeve Up, Stay Safe" really is the tagline for this episode!😂
I loved the slow zoom in on sleepy Oko.
Eilidh knows what we're here for.
Hey, Daniel Holt, Put Battlebond Lands in more Commander Precons
They should be default includes like Sol Ring!

Sooooo happy to see Joey on a gameplay episode !!!🎉
We always love to see him, but some pods he's *extra gay* and it's my favorite thing.
Joey is such a cool dude. Reminds me of a friend of mine
Awesome to see the new sponsorship. Can't wait to pick up some Commander At Home Dice.

Wow! Good catch! They seem to dubbed it in post!
Vampire version of Academy Manufactor that makes Treasure, Maps, and Blood wouldve been thematically fitting for the conquistador vampires in LCI
This was a great episode. the end shout outs brought me to tears! loved it! keep up the great work! cannot wait to see future episodes
Thanks so much!!

Real talk, I've never heard it referred as that, but have fun at the event.
Given that some of the earliest playtesting for magic was people Richard Garfield knew in the BDSM community that is incredibly apt.

I am in love with the quick draw deck!
Great episode guys! This was very, very entertaining!
Glad you enjoy it!

Normally I skip intros for show. This one is always a banger
I'm returning to mtg for this set (still a noob tho) and this vid made me so excited for playing commander!
Olivia playing Olivia and Brian playing a Naya deck. This gon be good
the energy among these 4 was great

Joey Schulz and Commander at Home? What is this a crossover episode?? (Channeling Mr. Peanut Butter)

Why? The encore'd angels trigger separately on the stack. Each land would resolve separately for the Scutes. Brian was correct.

Never a dull moment on this channel. Love you guys. Also where can I get one of those big dice!?!?!?

OK Joey, you went back right out of habit with equipment, or with hankies? Inquiring minds want to know 😉😂

That izzet precon is like something out of one of my fantasies. Can't wait to mess with it

The secret win condition of Brians deck, as with all scute swarm decks, is to get 2048 scute swarms
HEY HONEY!! GET THE PZZA ROLLS!! NEW COMMANDER AT HOME JUST DROPPED!!!
Be Fay, Do Crimes....best episode name ever!!

6:35 did she just Flick the card inside the deck. That looked sooo clean xD. (Nice vid ^^)
25:44 In my head I just heard "Toasty!" From the old MK games haha
There are only 3 things guaranteed in life: death, taxes and Brian playing naya
