Just saying, if Aaron were ever inclined to produce a “deck building” content series, I’d pay cash dollars for it. And be super psyched about it. Amazing deck builder!
For real, it would be really cool to maybe have a patreon level where Alex can fine tune Patron decks, and if he had time/energy, to do deck videos (maybe as shorts!) that aren't Patron limited
Since this somehow hasn't been a comment yet, for the discussion at the end: both Atraxa and the Goyfs have the card types listed solely as reminder text. You'd use whatever the most up to date list of card types is, so Atraxa does see kindreds and Goyfs do see battles.
This is gonna sound corny but I love the chemistry you all have in these videos. I really enjoy the interaction you all have and it brings a genuine smile to my face. Literally my favorite UA-cam channel
As always, loved the content. Just an FYI, the side camara is doing a weird zoom, last video was like this as well. Hopefully you guys already noticed that and that it's not me xD. Keep it up. Thanks
its weird, because a lot of the cards in the everything deck care about a variety of lands (lotuspost and the gatemaster) but not a variety of creatures. glad to see aaron resolved that issue
No one played removal and the best new creature from the deck Pyrogoyf got down early and stuck around way longer than it should have. The goyf side of the deck might not be as bad as some think, but overall I think Coram's graveyard plan is better than Disa's.
I literally said in two posts that it is the strongest precon. People are just mad that it didn't include a few other tarmagoyfs. It definitely looks like it was started as Coram as the face commander though. Either commander at the precon helm is very strong.
I love disa everyone seems to focus on the first Paragraph but her second one is really good and her first Paragraph is basically a you win Button with buried alive as you Assembler a pyrogoyf/polygoyf/anger pile and go to town
Minor interesting item. Alex triggerd ulalek with an Eldrazi paid for by Path of Ancestry, which I believe will result in the delayed scry trigger from spending the path mana on an appropriately typed creature to be copied along with the eldrazi displacer resulting in two scry 1s instead of just one.
Depends on how he orders the stack, but you probably should order that way for it. The way he did it was wrong, but wrong in the sense of being suboptimal rather than being illegal. And I believe he left on top anyway, so it was immaterial.
Aha! 26:43 We caught Alex red handed doing an Attenburg-esque voiceover, proving that he knows full well of the captivating effects of his impossibly smooth voice...
Haven't started the gameplay yet, but I'm excited to see the upgrades for tricky terrain care about creature types. Every gameplay video I've seen of that deck, people don't even put the Everything counters on any creatures
I find it interesting that Jim refered to Satya as similar to Riku of Two Reflections but personally for me, I think Ulalek is a turbo Riku. I also believe that an everything counter on a land would only allow the land to tap for choice from WUBRG and not colourless, didn't impact the game but good to note.
Loved this video btw! I know it’s a few months old now but we never got an upgraded fallout precon video. Would love to see either a custom fallout game with different new commanders or an upgraded precon video if that’s ever on the cards please?👀
At my lgs, the owner was all like "why is nobody preordering the graveyard deck? Just wait you'll see that deck will be effing awesome" and now I saw it! Thanks! As soon as I see it (hopefully), i'll pick it up!
Only tuned into the MH3 games so far, I've enjoyed the gameplay. Loved seeing the upgrades with this, even a few budget choices that I had completely overlooked when prebuilding my own lists. Would love to see what the upgrades to the decks look like without the budgets while keeping the face commanders.
Sorry for the question, but why adding Conspiracy and not Ashes of the Fallen to the Jund deck? Technically for Disa effect they work exactly the same, but AotF costs 2 generic compared to the to 5 with BB of Conspiracy I guess for Pyrogoyf Conspiracy is better?
Turns out, free reanimate and tokens is still the hottest thing :D Realized with the Fallout Engergy deck as well, needs more board wipes in those colors to stand against creature spam.
if Aaron reads these comments, I'd love to know your stance on how many board wipes to run in a given casual deck. this game is a prime example of a single boardwipe being able to completely change the pace/explosiveness of play. I'm guessing cards like Cyclonic Rift are "too expensive" but there's no reason something like Whelming Wave (I think that's the name?) couldn't be run... otherwise you run into this situation where the decks that can quickly explode onto the battlefield outpace everyone else and there's no rubber-band style effect.
I run a couple in any given deck but I typically don't include them in precon upgrades (I also generally add more on theme ones when possible). That being said, Whelming Wave would be great addition that's also very thematic.
Does battle for icoria help that jund deck at all? Otherwise its a scary commander, if you get everything is a lycrophanthied goif. Good quicky though.
16:00 this deck also need an Battle so its 1+ more for the Lhurgoyf its so sad that only in march of the machines came battle. i want more. they are great and funny. give the enemy something they need to defent or i get something great or Big. like invasion of Gobakhan and New Capenna really great Invasions/Battles :D
Looking at the cards in and out and how skewed this game ended up I really question trimming board wipes in decks that were already running probably too few of them to begin with given that their strategies were either slow, creature light/not creature focused, or grindy.
Was good he didn't play around the TecEdge. The land says if "an opponent" has >=4, so it was already live from Aaron even through Bill only had 3 lands. What a weird way to phrase the ability, wotc
I know it probably won't happen, but it would be fun to see more games with these exact decks. It seems some luck/misfortune was involved in this one...
Demonstrate allows him to gift a copy of the spell to someone else to make an additional copy for himself, and on the second resolution he reanimated an Eternal Witness, which returned the original card to his hand when it entered.
@@TheSpikeFeeders it does according to reaper king's ruling on gatherer If an effect reduces the cost to cast a spell by an amount of generic mana, it applies to a monocolored hybrid spell only if you've chosen a method of paying for it that includes generic mana.
The trigger was resolved correctly. It creates a token whenever one or more creatures hits a player, which happened 3 times in that combat. To behave the way you are describing, the card text would have to read "whenever one or more creatures deals combat damage to one or more players".
Just saying, if Aaron were ever inclined to produce a “deck building” content series, I’d pay cash dollars for it. And be super psyched about it. Amazing deck builder!
I hate to say this because I love them all but Aaron really is GOAT status
as someone local to them, when you see Big Aaron at an LGS you can shoot the shit with him pretty much all the time
I love all his builds
For real, it would be really cool to maybe have a patreon level where Alex can fine tune Patron decks, and if he had time/energy, to do deck videos (maybe as shorts!) that aren't Patron limited

I think that pregame joke may have been lowkey one of the best openings ever
It was peak
Stealing that joke for every game of commander I play from now on
Alex's joke before the game begins was just... :chef's kiss:
Pyrogoyf was the mvp with that graveyard spell.
True! Every edh show i saw show showed how good that card is
This is gonna sound corny but I love the chemistry you all have in these videos. I really enjoy the interaction you all have and it brings a genuine smile to my face. Literally my favorite UA-cam channel
No you are 100% correct, they all have a rapport that just makes you feel there and part of the fun!
The table talk is just lovely. :)
Thank you so much for the shoutout! :)
Heralds Horn mentioned! Woooo!
i LOVE the out and in aspect of cards you guys remove and add and then show the actual cards. that was cool
stumbled over this channel a few days ago, been watching a lot since. cool content guys
As always, loved the content. Just an FYI, the side camara is doing a weird zoom, last video was like this as well. Hopefully you guys already noticed that and that it's not me xD. Keep it up. Thanks
Yeah.. agreed. I think the zoom may be a bit over-aggressively used. A highlight zoom here and there sure.
Boo alex (the editor told me to do this)
its weird, because a lot of the cards in the everything deck care about a variety of lands (lotuspost and the gatemaster) but not a variety of creatures. glad to see aaron resolved that issue
It is called, "Tricky Terrain". 8)
I love how Reddit ripped the Graveyard deck a new one, yet it constantly delivers and upgraded it absolutely shreds.
No one played removal and the best new creature from the deck Pyrogoyf got down early and stuck around way longer than it should have. The goyf side of the deck might not be as bad as some think, but overall I think Coram's graveyard plan is better than Disa's.

This is not our grandpa's precon decks
Upgraded precon, important distinction.
I'd love to see a rematch of these upgraded decks because OH BOY TARMOGOYFS RAN AWAY WITH IT
Some really great decisions in deck building, there are some cool directions to take these. Great job, Aaron and team!
I've discovered this channel recently, the content is amazing!!And Aaron should do guides about deckbuilding, he' so good at it.

Pyrogoyf doing work. Holy shizzle that thing is like a tribal Terror of the Peaks. Great episode as usual btw. Keep up the good work.
This makes me want Graveyard Overdrive so much!

11:50 Question, is there a pre made printable “everything” counter like this that can be found somewhere?
you can find it everywhere
@@uselesscommon7761thanks, that’s super helpful!

Great job on the upgrades, im being convinced even more to pick up one of these precons, or just all of them
Battles and Kindred both count for both Lhurgoyfs and Atraxa

All I know is… I must see coram again!
Incarnation Technique is my MVP in Meren. Glad to see it getting it's due in this game.
Getting stuck on three mana tends to happen when youre told to mill 10 cards and 8 of them are mana producing…

Does Ulalek copy the scry off of Part of Ancestry when copied? Because the land is also colorless if I remember Ulalek’s text box right.

Pyrogoyf was an absolute powerhouse in every game i've watched with these decks, without it on the BF the deck is way less threatning.
I have never wanted someone to be able to cast Reins of Power more than the end of this episode.
As always, fun times and good banter
That was such a great game, thanks guys as always
16:00 this deck also need an Battle so its 1+ more for the Lhurgoyf

Satya’s effect reminds me more of Rionya. Copying creatures seems like a shared strategy.
Definitely need a deck building series
Ashes of the fallen would be a pretty good upgrade to the goyf deck as a 3rd maskwood nexus effect.
Every game with these decks serves to prove my hypothesis: the Goyf deck might have the lowest reprint value, but it's easily the most fun deck.

I think the graphic showing what cards got removed from Tricky Terrain was wrong. The decklist shows that an Island was removed, not a Forest.
Well either that or the decklist was wrong and it was meant to remove a Forest instead of an Island.
I want the eldrazi deck but it’s depressing that the deck isn’t available at a reasonable price anywhere :(

Pyrogoyf has been the MVP of the game everytime I've seen it.

Heralds horn only reduces generic costs, and Ulalek doesn't have any generic pips.
