This is my favorite movie from the series and I’m so happy you all reacted to it! It’s like the action movie version of a Nightmare on Elm Street, which makes sense because the director went on to make some iconic action flicks. I always thought the dog peeing fire and bringing Freddy back to life was dumb, but the older I got and the more I understood what was happening, I just interpret that as the way Kincaid sees him come back to life in his dream. The real reason he’s alive still is because Kristen can’t let go of her fear, which gives him his power (just like you said in the last video). Anyway, let me stop geeking out. Looking forward to your next reaction!
Fun Facts: The opening song of this movie Running From This Nightmare was performed by Tuesday Knight, who played Kristen in this movie replacing Patricia Arquette. This is the first Nightmare on Elm Street movie that Robert Englund got top billing in the beginning credits. Kincaid's dog Jason is a nod to the Friday the 13th series. Actress Brooke Theiss (Debbie) would join fellow Nightmare on Elm Street cast members Heather Langenkamp (Nightmare on Elm Street 1 and 3) and one of the girls on the school bus in the beginning of Nightmare on Elm Street 2 on the TV sitcom Just the 10 of Us playing 3 of the daughters.
@26:37 A Nightmare on Elm Street film franchise producer (and teacher) Robert Shaye. He also shows up as a high school faculty member in Freddy vs. Jason. 😁
What's scary is, even if Freddy is dead, it seems that Kristen could easily see Freddy just out of her subconscious and not know if it's really him or just a dream dream about him
This is my favorite movie in my favorite franchise! This movie is so fast paced and creatively shot (especially for the budget), and Alice is my favorite Final Girl of all time.
I’ve only watched this 4 times and the last time I watched it I hated it but I’m giving it another shot because I can see why some people love it so hopefully tonight my thoughts have changed on it
26:38 - that's Robert Shaye (head of New Line Cinema at the time) as the teacher. He makes appearances in Freddy's Dead and New Nightmare as well. His sister, Lin Shaye was the teacher in the first movie and has gone on into the Insidious movies
Yeah so I think some people are confused as to why Kincaids dog was biting the one girl and digging up the remains. If you read up on it it’s actually Freddy Krueger possessing his dog Jason to deconsecrate the burial site
The very first time that I saw the movie A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 The Dream Master was when my Grandmother took me to the movies to see it when I was only 11 years old in the summer of 1988. And I was really scared and I was really surprised at the time.
Seeing Alice get combat ready is so badass. I love that scene and of course Freddy kissing Sheila. When Freddy kissed Sheila, my mom told me when I was in elementary school that's why guys use mouthwash. A guy's bad breath will literally kill a woman. I didn't question that for many years afterwards. Fortunately, I'm not so naive nowadays.
As far as the flames from the dog, I heard someone actually explain that the flame breaks the consecration of the seal that was in place from blessing the remains in the previous movie.
I mentioned this in a previous video due to the circumstances on how she got her powers there was a brutal side effect. I don't know why but when the powers went through Freddy Alice not only got the dream warrior powers she also age 2 times faster than most people.
Plot twist: this movie came out in 88..the same as Halloween 4. What if both universes existed at the same time? She had watched Halloween 4 before the events of this movie. What if she decided to pull Michael Myers in her dreams to fight Freddy?
According to several of the actors in the "Never Sleep Again" documentary, director Renny Harlin seemed more interested in getting into Tuesday Knight´s panties than anything else, whenever they were shooting scenes with her. Seeing as she was only 18 and him 28 at the time, that´s almost creepier than anything Freddy did to think of. As for why Patricia Arquette didn´t come back to reprise her part from NOES 3, there are many different stories going around, but according to herself, it was simply because she wasn´t asked to by the film´s producers. A fun little side story that Tuesday tells too in the documentary, is that she made the song "Nightmare" (or "Running from My Nightmare", as many know it as) entirely for fun with the keyboard player from her band and they then made a homemade demo of it, that she gave to the movie´s director just on the pure chance, that they might see something in it and use it. It wasn´t until she was at the actual premiere of the movie and her music started playing to begin it, that she actually found out that they had used it. For years though, thanks to legal issues over the ownership of the song, she wasn´t allowed to release it herself and didn´t make any money off it, despite it being her best-known song. It wasn´t until 2012, 24 years after the movie was released, that it finally got cleared up and she was allowed to release it on a compilation album. Tuesday and Lisa Wilcox (who played Alice) also became close to best friends during the filming and the two of them have for the past many years owned a foot jewelry company called "ToeBrights" together. As for Lisa Wilcox, she did a documentary called "Scream, Queen: My Nightmare on Elm Street" a few years ago that´s one of the best documentaries on the series, that I´ve seen. She´s still occasionally acting in movies today, but for her the series clearly turned out to be a double-edged sword, as far as her later career went.
@34:21 y'all reaction to that part so funny, like y'all were so confused like wth just happened. Seemed like Freddy in the real world had y'all confused in the head😅😅. Bet you thought that scene replayed itself, yeah I know I had that same reaction too when I first watched it 😃😃
I really like this movie and the concept of how Alice becomes the dream master. In my opinion the first four movies are fire. 5 and 6 are when the franchise went downhill in quality. But then was great again with Wes Craven's New Nightmare and Freddy vs Jadon.
the dog, jason, didn't lead to kincaids death. spirit animals warn. he warned him in the dream that kristen pulled him into. so jason was not actually there when kincaid died. jason was what is called a "shadow". it is something that makes you trust in dreams until you get to a place that is a nightmare. that is why when he died, jason was freaking out on his bed. he couldn't help him the way he helped him in the dream that kristen pulled him into. because kristen wasn't there.
1 to 4 In the nightmare series are probably the best ones the rest excluding Wes Craven's New Nightmare Wich is amazing, 5 to 6 are watchable but not the best.
No disrespect bc I'm no UA-camr and is not familiar with the guidelines. But is it necessary to have your channel name displayed all over the screen when showing the movie. Very hard to watch the movie with ya'll when all I see is "snoopers gonna snoop" everywhere.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master: Jason resurrects Freddy
Freddy Vs. Jason: Freddy resurrects Jason
Debbie’s death (the cockroach girl) is considered one of the most memorable death scenes of the entire franchise.
It’s either her death, Glenn’s, or Tina’s
Fun Facts: The opening song of this movie Running From This Nightmare was performed by Tuesday Knight, who played Kristen in this movie replacing Patricia Arquette.

Nice....who was she on part 1??
@26:37 A Nightmare on Elm Street film franchise producer (and teacher) Robert Shaye. He also shows up as a high school faculty member in Freddy vs. Jason. 😁
The practical effects with the deaths were absolutely amazing especially Freddy’s death.
Freddy's ressurection was a perfect example of man's ressurection. So creative
That doesn't even make sense. Please explain
I believe that Renny Harlin who directed this has such a unique visual style which I suppose makes this film so special.
What's scary is, even if Freddy is dead, it seems that Kristen could easily see Freddy just out of her subconscious and not know if it's really him or just a dream dream about him
All my favorite reactors been KILLIN IT with the vid drops lately! Think I watched like 3 of y'alls videos today.
This is my favorite movie in my favorite franchise! This movie is so fast paced and creatively shot (especially for the budget), and Alice is my favorite Final Girl of all time.
We can thank Renny Harlin for that. He was a great choice for directing this.
This and 5 have the best directing!
I’ve only watched this 4 times and the last time I watched it I hated it but I’m giving it another shot because I can see why some people love it so hopefully tonight my thoughts have changed on it
The nurse was Robert Englund who plays Freddy without the makeup
The roach death (Debbie death) is on one the worst deaths I seen in a movie. Till this day that scene sticks in my mind when I see a roach.
A memorable death will do that to ya. Like that one scene from Better Watch Out. I will never touch a paint can ever again because of that movie
26:38 - that's Robert Shaye (head of New Line Cinema at the time) as the teacher. He makes appearances in Freddy's Dead and New Nightmare as well. His sister, Lin Shaye was the teacher in the first movie and has gone on into the Insidious movies
Don't forget, Robert Shaye also played the bartender in the gay night club in part 2.
My favorite film in the franchise! Yaass 🕺🏻
30:26
The powers one needs to become the dream master:
1. Strength
2. Nunchucks
it was actually a boy jumping rope in Dream Warriors
I loved this movie along with the original, Dream Warriors and New Nightmare
This is my favorite one out of all the other Nightmare on elm streets.
Nightmare on em Street 4 intro dream master song running for this Nightmare from Tuesday knight great intro song for the opening of the movie
Plus when I saw what he did to the lady that was lifting weights.
Yeah so I think some people are confused as to why Kincaids dog was biting the one girl and digging up the remains. If you read up on it it’s actually Freddy Krueger possessing his dog Jason to deconsecrate the burial site
Freddy knows how to make an entrance. He has a sense of humor, which explains the dog pissing fire.

10:58 - I think people take that scene too literally. The dog pissed on consecrated ground which broke the seal that was keeping Freddy in place.
As far as the flames from the dog, I heard someone actually explain that the flame breaks the consecration of the seal that was in place from blessing the remains in the previous movie.
Interesting. But we all know Freddy has a sense of humor. Which explains the dog pissing fire.

Alot of these actors from this movie was at ScareFest this past weekend in Lexington Ky
Every time I see this movie and I think about ricks death I can’t help but laugh he had to fight indivisible Freddie because they ran out of money😂
😂😭😂😭😂😭

they did get in the truck but fell asleep while she was driving and just kept dreaming that they were getting in the car and crashed

Please please please do Sleepaway Camp
Patricia Arquette didn't return as Kristen in Nightmare 4 she was re casted
1 to 4 In the nightmare series are probably the best ones the rest excluding Wes Craven's New Nightmare Wich is amazing, 5 to 6 are watchable but not the best.
Can you please react to the horror classic movie Stigmata
Starring Patricia Arquette
Please
You not gonna react to the "New Nightmare" movie from 1994?
I believe the original actress for Kristen got pregnant so they casted Tuesday knight
Apparently also Patricia didn't want to get typecast for horror films so that's another reason she didn't come back.
This one gets some hate, but I'm wit it
Please watch nightmare on elm Street 5 the dreaming child
No disrespect bc I'm no UA-camr and is not familiar with the guidelines. But is it necessary to have your channel name displayed all over the screen when showing the movie. Very hard to watch the movie with ya'll when all I see is "snoopers gonna snoop" everywhere.
i got unsubbed from you for some reason, is this happening alot?
Yikes I’ve never seen that smh idk maybe UA-cam might on accident or a glitch thanks for letting us know
Tuesday who played Kristen in this is such a bad actress i am glad they killed her character off
wow talk about a complainer
The 1st half of this movie is good but 2nd half kinda boring
2nd half has one of the most iconic kills though...the roach haha
you have to see the oriignal fitst firl
