Hey Kann ich eine Einstellung machen damit sich der "Schaden" auf dem Würfel bei jeder neuen Animation anders verändert? DANKE schon mal würde mir super helfen
Hey mate, do you mean so it simulates differently every time you play it back? If so I dont think so, but if you want to quickly set up multiple variations you can add small amounts to the values in the scene dynamics tab, if you just add a tiny bit to the substeps for example you'll get a different sim, you can also randomise the postion of the falling blocks with the cloner seed value, loads of options really. Thanks for watching mate!

tension tag with vertex map?
Thank u for your teaching!, and i wanna ask a question. Can i know way to apply the material like gold(i can not be sure...), where do i find that material?
Hi mate, I made this material in Octane, if you use that plugin too and wish to learn more about materials, we cover that in our new Octane Materials Course, you can check it out here ➜ bit.ly/2MtC2eW We have 5% off today too, use code: 'OCTANE5' Thanks for watching!
thank you so much!!!!!
No problem! If you make something cool feel free to post it up on our Facebook Group! Our New Monthly Challenge is on now and we've got some awesome prizes to give away too!
It is really cool! And I want to know more about how to texture it when the box touch the Softbody. Would i know it?
Cheers Kim, I ended up doing it with X Particles funnily enough. In XP 4 there's a new xpVertexMap Maker you can use. It was a little bit tricky but you can download that setup from our Patreon page if you need it;) BTW If you didn't already know about it we now have a Facebook Group if you'd like to get involved facebook.com/groups/CGShortcuts. Interesting and informative lesson. Thank you!

How did you make the big cube texture turn to different colour when hit by the square?
I tried to do it with the proximal shader first but no luck, I ended up doing in with X Particles funnily enough. In XP 4 there's a new xpVertexMap Maker you can use. great job bro and also make a tutorial about car crash plz
Cheers mate, you could use these exact concepts for a car crash and just add some shattering glass to add to the effect. I'll add it to the list;) BTW If you didn't already know about it we now have a Facebook Group if you'd like to get involved facebook.com/groups/CGShortcuts. Thanks for watching!

how you made these colors :'D !!
How can I make the inside material be different from the outside?
Great question! As it's a bit hard to give you a good answer here in the comments, any chance you could post your question on our Facebook Group and one of our community members can give you a hand;) If you could post some screenshots of your issue too that would be super helpful! @@CGShortcuts im there from the begening :D u just liked my coments on render engines LOL
kabal xizt haha nice! Hard to keep track of everyone;) thanks mate!
Yeah very nice video! +1 like and sub :) but how can you texture it to see the damages better?
Hey Kann ich eine Einstellung machen damit sich der "Schaden" auf dem Würfel bei jeder neuen Animation anders verändert? DANKE schon mal würde mir super helfen
Sorry I was only wondering if there is a posibility to randomize the impact on the surface for each new smash?
Hey mate, do you mean so it simulates differently every time you play it back? If so I dont think so, but if you want to quickly set up multiple variations you can add small amounts to the values in the scene dynamics tab, if you just add a tiny bit to the substeps for example you'll get a different sim, you can also randomise the postion of the falling blocks with the cloner seed value, loads of options really. Thanks for watching mate!
Can we use cloth tear with softbody? How?
bake it, then tear it up
@@CGShortcuts I tried but doesn't work
I tried all kinds of baking the Normal cache backing, character tag backing, animation backing, project backing but it doesn't work may be if you can provide a tutorial for it ?
Congrats with the 10K subs!;)
Woohoo! Cheers Niels, thank's for the support mate! That's pretty exciting!
ANy idea where the stiffness setting in the soft body tag is in 2024? cannot make any of my soft body objects not like cloth in 2024, if anyone has any answers, please let me know
you can increase substeps or enable softbody to stiffen the cloth
More intrested in the texturing
I put all the final files on our Patreon page if you need that final look mate (in octane) Thanks for watching;)
how to change the texture on deformation?
Hi Татьяна, If you want to see exactly how I've done the lighting and texturing, all the final render ready project files (which include all the lighting, materials and render settings) can be downloaded from our Patreon page here: www.patreon.com/cgshortcuts or from our website cgshortcuts.com/product-category/template-project-files/. I always use Octane to render these filese and because not everyone has access to the plugin, I dont always go through the process (as it's often the same steps each time). Thanks for watching!
does anyone know if theres a way to do this in blender?
when I try to render the cube it doesn't show any deformations ( softbody) doesnt work
Hey, can I do this on C4D Prime?
Hi Alex, Im not sure you can without the Studio version unfortunately (although Im not 100 percent sure). BTW If you didn't already know about it we now have a Facebook Group if you'd like to get involved facebook.com/groups/CGShortcuts. Thanks for watching!
How is this material made
Just a reflective material with gold colored specular highlights and a grunge map breaking up the roughness. This tutorial shows similar materials ua-cam.com/video/GKlNyQaM0OY/v-deo.html
Render and texture training is not in tutorials... please show that as well how you did that realistic render
Sorry Ahsan, this ones just about the softbody setup so you can create something similar, I have a few lighting and texturing tutes with the same concept I used you could check out and you can grab the finished render file from our Patreon page if you need it (it was done in Octane) Will do more texturing/lighting tutes soon, I have a huge list to get through. Thanks for watching!
@@CGShortcuts I appreciate sir .. looking forward to see your realistic render training's..
Супер. Спасибо
Не переживай дружище!
I wonder why there is no way to turn gravity on or off for softbody.

but can you do it in blender
I'm sue there's a way mate, but I've never used Blender;)
Hi & tkx
pity that the subtleties of the texture are not shown!

Thats alota damage
Indeed;)
How come you never show how to color the objects.
Welcome to the channel! I dont go over the lighting and texturing every time because it's often the same process. You can get the finished project with lights and textures on my Patreon page if you need it though, they're all rendered in Octane. The good news is we're just about to release a huge Octane Material course so hopefully that will help you get some great looking renders;) BTW we also have a fancy new website full of loads of CG Resources if you want to check it out www.cgshortcuts.com/ thanks for watching!
