yeah. same thing happened yesterdy to me. first time i had ever listened to them. My friends in this band called Horatio kept telling me to listen to them and i was like. "WOW" they just took my breath away and a genuine feeling of pure happyness filled me. and now i'm going to see them at Warped Tour. hah. but they are amazing. pure talent.
Whether or not aaron left the band,Underoath will always be one of the best bands ive ever heard, listeneing to this song especially when im high my face fucking melts in slow motion xP
duuude aaron gillespie is an amazing drummer! he's definitely one of my heroes because its hard enough to do what he does on the drums let alone the fact that he sings, too! and he's really good at both! and as he proved with The Almost, he's just awesome at everything! haha.
Underoath is amazing... and very talented.. there's no way you can call them just decent. Don't ignore talent just because you may not like them very much.
The very name of the song itself, explains what the song is about. They were going about their daily business (creating excellent music and what not), and suddenly they had a nostalgic, mesmerizing moment suspended in time. This moment seems to have been positive, since they say "I gotta be dreaming" and "don't wake me up", and definitely a gift from God. Then at the end of the song, the tangible moment ends, and reality sets in.
i love underoath i dont know why eveyones is complaining about how every cd is a diferrent genre i thinks its awsome makes evry album diferrent but they all still have that underoath sound
The song is about the end of the world. Grant says so in a blog he writes on there website. They're all from Florida, so he uses Earthquake drills as an analogy "under my desk, this can't be it". I think it's based around the verse that talks about how in the end, "every knee shall bow and every tongue confess" which explains the lyrics "it's so funny how we see things so clear, when we've got no time left to live"
The first time I heard Underoath was when I was 12 years old. My friend came over to my house with a CD in his hand and he played it for me and I fell in love. It was ironically also the first time I ever smoked pot haha
Arguments are a great thing becuz they prove that people still have opinions. The problem is every1 has to think they are right, and that makes an argument completely stupid. The truth is, if we did not have different opinions, characteristics, personalities, etc. We would not be able to contrast ourselves on each other and everyone wud be the same. What we need to realize is that we are all in it 2gether and being rite or wrong does not matter because you cannot learn if you're always right.
Not to mention they seem to have lowered the volume on the final edits of the new album... so the screams are background vocals instead of frontman status. Either Way, I grew up listening to UnderOath and Atreyu, and I still am a fan, despite of anything.
@JosephThePenguin i will agree that LITSOS is a great album, but if most ppl are like me, remember that when THIS album came out there was nothing like it. define the great line changed the scene for me. its prolly my favorite cd ever
@NoobyMac Ya he's still in The Almost, but Underoath without him is going to be different. He's my favorite drummer AND clean vocalist.. I think it's going to be difficult for them to find someone to fill his shoes. But ah well, hopefully the new guy will be good enough..
yeah to those people arguing below me,,,underoath arent confined to one particular genre, they have parts of a few in my opinion. thats why i love them.
lol am I correct when I saw Spencer pointing to his eye when he said "Neither you or I are in control"? A Moment Suspended in Time is the first song that got me totally into this band =3 Spee and Aaron are awesomeness =3 Underoath is epicness =3
The music you play or listen to doesn't dictate what deity you worship or how you worship them. This is what they feel God has wanted them to do, and so they do it. And they're damn good at it.
I rememeber when I first heard about underoath. I kinda saw them on my sisters friend jacket so one day I was on music choice and I found this video i think it was..And honesty I HATED THEM lol...But few months ago I listened to them again and now I LOVE THEM...It's amazing how our taste in music envolves over years..
at the mayhem festivals they were letting people get their cds signed by them but the.....very bad people told me the wrong time and i got there for black tide , thinking about it makes me cry
@leerey14 They will be fine, I can always go back to this album when I want that sound. I like the direction they've gone in, they could've taken out the heavier botch-influenced parts entirely.
They're back in that swedish basement the same place were they filmed "You're Ever So Inviting" if you see the behind the scenes on the 777 dvd you'll see it
Yeah, it does look similar to "You're ever so Inviting." But I love this song, and I like the concept behind the video...and the editing. I wish I could edit like that! =P
Underoath change my life!! Theres no other band like Underoath!!..Its simply the best band of the world!!
yeah. same thing happened yesterdy to me. first time i had ever listened to them. My friends in this band called Horatio kept telling me to listen to them and i was like.
