@@janvaneynde1373 I use a 3D animation software called "MikuMikuDance" and there are a lot of free 3d models and motion files available on the internet.
You can download the file and open it in Adobe Illustrator (or other compatible software). The file contains the correct dimensional information and you can measure the length of each line in the software. Or you can just use the file for laser cutting
I was wondering why do some prefer to make each side a trapezoid instead of a triangle as shown in your video? Does the trapezoid side have a smoother transition when we look around it?
Because the tip of the triangle is so thin, it can display a very small area of the image. In my work, you can also see that the top of the figure (the hat) is partly out of the display range. It is true that trapezoids are better for displaying rectangular images. However, if you use a trapezoid, the distance between the four sides will be longer and may not be suitable for displaying a tall and narrow image. (My English may not be very good.)
So you can place the pyramid to stand upright on the small side. Most hologram videos on UA-cam will be upside down if the pyramid was placed on its base.
@@kangsora32 The length of the bottom side of the isosceles triangle is equal to the length of the short side of the display, and the height is equal to the square root of "the square number of the bottom side divided by two".
Yes, you can do that. Just one side would be easy, but it would require a very large display, or you could optimize this by adding lenses to the design
Bruh just use some card board lying around the house why are you using a laser cutter on quality materials for this Edit: oh I get it. The wood will take the spray paint better than cardboard. Now it makes sense
The length of the bottom edge of each isosceles plastic piece of the pyramid is equal to the length of the short side of your display, and the height is equal to the square root of "the square of the bottom edge divided by two".

Wow that was really fast and good... I'm 63 and actually understood this! Thank you.
what I liked about the video, is the way concept is well explained. Thank you

Can you share the exact measurements for the pyramid you use here

is there another way to cut wood? I really need to do my project but I cant cut the wood properly :(
You can use other materials to make, such as 3d printing
Wouldn't it display more clearly if we put resin inside the pyramid?
You need to make sure the resin is transparent enough. But in reality, you can make the projection clearer just by making the monitor brighter.
Is there an application that provides holographic videos? Most found in youtube are in reverse pyramid. Thanks
Sorry, I don't know. I made my own video.
Qizhan Chen how did you make the video?

Could this be done with only the front view (no sides or backside) with a height of a meter or more?
