Pianists say this concerto is incredibly hard to play, because Dvorak was not able to write comfortably for the piano but it is a lovely concerto overall, especially the 3rd movement.
One of my 5 favourite piano concertos. It's for piano and orchestra, piano sheets are for 2 pianos, where the second piano is a replacement for the orchestra, for practical reasons.
You should check out Disney's Fantasia if you like classical music, the premise is about what goes through your mind when you sit in a concert hall listening to this music, a classic disney animation set to classical music. The Rite of S[ring is in it!

Some more pieces by Dvorak to listen to:
His Symphony 4 in D minor
His Twelfth String Quartet "the American"
His Third String Quintet
Wonderful reaction! If you enjoy Dvorak, perhaps you would like to listen to his 2nd piano quintet; it's one of my favorite works by him.
Wow what a great piece. End of 2nd mov is simple gorgeous
Somehow I have never heard of this piece before. I was reacting to it with you. Agreed it’s excellent! A bit unusually structured but it works
i love this concerto might need to sample that asap
My fifth attempt to persuade Gidi to listen to Verdi's Requiem
at least the dies irae would be good, all tho whole thing is good too
I second your suggestion!
Listen to Saint Saens Piano Concerto No. 2, I think youll like it. Its a pretty digestable concerto even for beginners to classical

There's another hidden gem romantic piano concerto: Bortkiewicz Piano Concerto No. 1, you should react to it!
Please react to chopin’s fantaisie in f minor! It would be really cool!
Oh it's too bad that it's not the Kleiber - Richter version... it's a perfection.
