We take the drone around and then the Operations Director comes out for a chat.
Enjoy!

Paul your a star,, the way you interacted with a member of the public who was a stranger to you was 100% professional and a joy to watch,, this is what most people that watch these audit channels want company staff to treat audits,, a big well done sir,, and well done DJ audits also, job well done by both gentlemen 👍👍👍
100%!
Not really a joy to watch it’s just how normal people are
@@kells77 Staying on topic, do you watch much Audits? as this is ceartianly not how "normal" people usually react to audits, hence was a breath of freshair...
you're^
I thought Paul was quite rude and dismissive. It was only at 18 mins did it seem to dawn on him that he better start backtracking and become more polite towards the member of the public. DJ handled this audit brilliantly.
Polite and professional interaction from Paul and yourself. This is how auditing should be done, too many auditors seek to provoke an adverse reaction which is counter productive.
Totally agree with you. X
You don't get that that job without having an edge and being smart. The camera changes people.
Far too many auditors, like you say are merely in the 'let's TRY to make a hostile interaction...I just don't get that, even with police interactions.
Bravo that man…..What credit to his company, why can’t all of the audits go like that.
Many companies could learn from this interaction, professional on both sides, and good points raised by both also.
To be fair even security guards were ok 👌
@@clobber66 yeah, I suppose that's right, as they didn't have a negative reaction 😀
The simple truth is that if you did speak to them first to prearrange your visit then the answer would have been "no thanks" It's alright him saying this now but in reality he would have said no.
Well said. All words you spoke true. Who would call ahead before an audit. It's like hiding a Nanny Cam (but informing them the location first) lol.. makes 0 sense!!
exactly. police would just arrive earlier lol
Paul Smith Ltd also said the same thing, but we would not have had the great comedy content, most of which has been deleted now.......
Everyone knows this, you see it when every now and then someone does ask first, just for the fun of it.
@@DaveCarterAL i saw one asking in the lobby of a police station if he could film outside, he was arrested on the spot ^^
Good vid and well done to Paul, he might be surprised at how many people could learn from his approach 👏👏👍🇬🇧
Lmao the Union Jack flag ffs, cringe
He was grat, right up until talked over DJ, giving unneeded and unlaful directives, he called DJ rude and unprofessional and then went on to make a bigger t1t of himself.Paul's an arrogant tw@t with ideas above his station.
Really good interaction on both sides, I think he's a credit to his company, interesting about the electric company cars as well
Decent chap, good interaction and very professional. His point about low flying drones was valid too. Points to Samworth Brothers.
I expect PJ was sniffing into the dumpsters with his drone again...😆
You can see the moment when he switches from defensive to opportunistic.
What a great Director.
Ha ha very true I had that thought and he still got me
Covering his arse.
@@philswales3814 no, seeing opportunity.
He’s a good leader…
nice guy, very polite, most other companies should take this video as a training video to all other staff, another brilliant audit dj 👍👍
So hold on a sec. If i am driving and a bird in the sky distracts me. I start bird watching and cause a crash.
Do i blame the bird and tell my car insurance company it was the pigeons fault?
I agree that part was reaching a bit but I don’t think he can be bashed too hard for that one
@@hectichazerdus go do it and let us know what they say to you 🤣
@@hectichazerdus really???
A drone buzzing around your head at work, is as common as pigeons flying over???
The guy was fair, and polite. Simple as that.
@@gooders8855 Not the sharpest tool in the box are you. Completely missed the angle. Nevermind
That was a brilliant audit, he changed his tone immensely as he realised that he was totally outmaneuvered by your knowledge and skill at interacting. At first he was trying to suggest you were flying the drone illegally and exert his authority but he realised he needed to back off and preserve a degree of self respect and kudos to you for being relatively gentle with him. He seemed like a reasonable fellow who started off with too much sense of privilege but then caught himself and realised he was about to make a fool of himself for all the internet to see.
I'm a trucker and if I can't handle seeing a drone fly, I have no business sitting behind the wheel of a heavy hauler. That was a redicoulus reason....
it's a valid
reason. he is flying to low over private property. it's stupidity, just keep a decent height. no need to be below the roofline. still the folk were all ok so no real hassel
@@TONE11111 well your wrong. At any distance. Mmm read up on it and you will find your wrong
Agreed, I see low flying DHL jets over the M1 landing at East Midlands Airport, it's not really an issue
@@paulos9304 it’s a sub 250g drone so any distance is correct. Personally I fly a lot higher, I prefer that my drones are not seen or heard.
@@davidkn who mentioned VLOS? I commented on distances from people/objects.
I’ve seen his videos and he quite often flies without VLOS. I made no comment on that.
What license do you think he has exactly? For this drone all you require is an Operator ID and no training at all. He most probably has a Flyer ID and has passed that simple online test, but it’s in no way a license.
Paul seemed like a nice guy who handled the situation well.
If you ignore the facts that he isa asking others to not exercise their rights simply because he doesnt like it.
Nope.
At his level and position he's probably worried about lorries getting hijacked or competitors spying on the site. So comes out on the defensive, then realised that PJ is legit and engages in a civil manner.
In all fairness the director that approached you was very nice and all the places you have done he was well behaved. Although at first it looked like it was going the other way, but he recovered very well and part from the very few issues with the company it's been that best one. I think he will take on board what you said and sort it. out.
@@paulgee6150 l think you are to use to them kicking off, no adrenaline pumping. The next one will make up for it👍👍
@@b00ts4ndc4ts He realised he’s facing a smart one and changed his attitude in a few seconds😄
The most professional person and asset any company could ever ask for, absolute gent.
Nope.
The guy calmed down and was very respectful and professional. No doubt a decent company to work for.
Awful company to work for and knowing that guy personally (he is an awful manager and person - played the nice guy to the camera)
One of the better Op Directors, handled that brilliantly.
DECENT GUY THE MANAGER, MAKES A REFRESHING CHANGE.👏👏
The ops director chap was ok, I’d like to work for a company like his if he were in charge. Great audit .
Look how clean and well organized the site was too. Seems like a great place.
What a wonderful Director for a change!!! Its refreshing to see a boss that listens and has some intelligence!!!
It took him a little while to get there but when he realised your professionalism, skills and knowledge he became a reasonable and good representative of his company. As ever, very interesting audit.
That was a great interaction and he was a terrific representative of the company.
Decent, well spoken guy. He's a credit to his co. Great audit as always with your usual way of neutralizing their stiff backs & getting them to engage in a friendly & professional way.
Finally a company man with some respect. No obnoxious, high horse, upperty, I’m better than you, power mad attitude from Samworth Brothers. I thought maybe it’s going to turn ugly as usual and the police were en route and that’s when all the BS begins, but no, to be fair to Paul he had an logical conversation, used his intelligence and even though he wasn’t 100% happy with the situation still was humble enough to accept what was going on, agree to address any security issues highlighted and did so whilst putting the company name in a very good light and when you think about the size of the auditing community will be in the millions across all networks. Great audit and hopefully we will see more Paul’s and less Karen’s in the future
what a top bloke and how respectful was he in talking to you nice interaction and fair play to him for comming out and personally talking to you this is how a true gent does it
Great Operations Director Paul. He had a nice calm but confident approach. He explained the reasons why it was causing him a concern which was fair enough. He kept it respectful and connected, whilst representing his company professionally. So unlike some of the other reactions we see way too often.
As managers go, he's clued up on how to talk to the public filming.
As an employer I can see them being very responsible
It's just getting over the security's insecurities.....
Paul was a sound man , very proffesional and handled it all very politely 👍
I BELIEVE IN HONEST ANSWERING, NO MATTER HOW HARD THAT MAKES UNDERSTANDING
Guy> You're not flying a drone are you? ... Reply> Yes (note he asked if you were not flying a drone, you are not you are piloting a drone so the answer is YES you are not flying a drone)
Guy> Why are you flying a drone? ...> Reply> I'm not
Seems like a nice guy. For someone not used to what you're doing - he handled it well.
When a police helicopter hovers over a lorry park, do the drivers panic, worry? 😂
Wow he is a great boss and this is how you represent your company so 100/10 and to take on your feedback so well done he was a true gentleman well done to his company
What a very professional Ops Manager representing his company and himself in a very pleasant way
Nice interaction, Decent ops manager and you where polite! Dialogue pushes thinks forward. He made good points as you did so the Audit was a pass on both sides
What a respectable Gentleman 👍
Paul is a credit to the community and a true gentleman. Many other managers and directors of companies could learn a lot from his cordial behaviour in order to improve their professionalism and behaviour towards the general public.
Decent guy very professional. Security needs beefing up that's for sure.
Waking up actually...........😆....💤
Great audit - I would say a perfect audit. The interaction, content, length and music were all spot on. The manager chap who cam e out was very understanding and took thing on board. brilliant work !
The Ops Manager was very poor.....
He should have lost his temper, told PJ to get that drone off his lawn, nocked the camera out of his hand, called in security as a back up to argue points & threaten to call the police .....
😁
😂😂
PJ was there too?
He’s usually a little more conspicuous.
🤣🤣
@@Lookup2Wakeup shouting, swearing, kicking, blood everywhere, police, police dogs police horses, helicopters. Like I just can’t understand why people are so nice and polite to each other. What’s the world coming to?

Been watching DJ Audits for hours and hours, and Paul Marrow certainly was the most professional company representative of them all.
@@CDCD23-25 No.
What a great managing director… professional, realistic, polite and seems like a great person.
I think that guy was awesome. It’s one of the best audit interactions I’ve seen.
Great representation for the company.
interesting conversation. though if a professional driver is distracted by a drone in a way he gets in harms way he should not be one.
The company representative was a really nice guy be nice if more ppl were like him you should contact him for another visit nice 1 DJ
10/10 to Paul, what a lovely guy and I bet he's great to work for. Another great audit DJ. It gets a 👍from moi.
Paul it's good to see a person so proud in your company, and you deserve to be.
Very good video
What a decent chap Paul is, a credit to the company
paul seems to really care about his employees. fantastic job, great guy!
What a refreshing change to see a great response from the ops director. That’s how an interaction with an auditor should be done 👏🏼 he’s handled himself very well and managed to show his company in a positive manner
I enjoyed the civil interaction, theirs as well as yours. It’s always good to see photography done with civility. Well done
A very interesting interaction between you and Paul, he seems like a good guy who cares about his business role especially health and safety. Nice one D J.
Nice one DJ 👍...
PJ should take him up on his offer for a tour and find out if he actually sticks to his word
👍😊 Other companies should learn how to interact with public with this video. What a nice Operations Director.
Just in time for my dinner, great work too
He was pretty nice overall, respectful of your rights, even a little appreciative. One of these days you are going to get contacted by someone asking for a free strategic security test for their business, you really do these businesses a favour ultimately.
One of the best audit's I've seen. Aside from the security staff not noticing you, Paul was a really nice guy. Can see why he got a bit spooked, but he seemed to soon realised how friendly you are and spoke to you with respect. Seriously, DJ, best audit yet. Keep them coming mate :) (Also, I find this video really inspiring) :)
Brilliant video and the manager was respectful and did have real concerns, again I can't say anything bad about his reaction and questions especially as it's probably his first time getting "audited". I would go as far as to say he is an example of how a concerned manager SHOULD react, as opposed to some throwing unfounded accusations about (crimes, crooks burglary, etc)
Five stars
Top bloke 👏 really nice to see he approached you with the intention of having a civil chat finding out why you were there (reasonably) and to politely let you know he had some concerns (also reasonable). There needs to be more managers like him. He didn't need to offer to accommodate calls from you that really was kind and going the extra mile. Watching this video and I think that'd be a nice place to work 🙂
Excellent response from the ops director came over asking 'if' you were flying a drone , didn't tell you stop was just concerned about the height..very professional in his work and obviously an insight into his character...well done all round
The director started off a bit abrupt but calmed down and it was quite a good interaction.
I hope he watches the video and sees that yes he voiced concerns, but he came across very well in my view. 73's Andy M6APJ.
What a great interaction and top marks to the Gentleman from Samworth Brothers, many many Managers and Directors could lear from this mans interaction, respect is earned, it is not given, and he earned respect. well done. 100%
The ops manager seemed like a very reasonable level headed guy, even though he didn't really feel comfortable with what you were doing he still stayed calm, respectful and polite, made no silly demands or threats. Great audit. Enjoyed it.
A good interaction between two people having an intelligent and non confrontational conversation
Credit where credits due... You have to applaud the good interactions as much as we enjoy the bad ones 🤣
I’ve fitted those Ev Chargers before DJ, they can be Wi-Fi controlled… and you can have contactless cards to activate them…so I imagine they only let certain people use them
Paul Marrow is a perfect gentleman and an asset to the company. As he is in 'virgin' territory his behaviour was outstanding. Any future audits will receive a warm welcome from now onwards I'm quite sure. Well done DJ for ALWAYS being totally professional!
Wave (or fly) a camera from a public venue...Some workerbee emerges from a business and morphs into a lawyer, a secret agent, a surveyor, or a police officer....Interesting phenom..always entertaining.
@@macsmith6216 That is a poor comparison that many police officers tend to use, when they are starting to throw a stroppy tantrum... A place of work and a private residence bear no decent comparison...!
Well handled the both of you 👍
Great visit. Sounds like the company is doing great stuff. I wish them all the best. Well done Paul.
Good audit buddy. Stay safe out there.
Bless him, he was very wary of you but soon realised you were not hostile, very good interaction 👍
i ALWAYS like them before watching your audits because i know they deserve it :)
Good audit. Thought Paul was really professional and respectful. Hope he sees the positives of this interaction.
Excellent response from Paul the Director. A real leader who understands things very well.
My hat goes off to him and WELL DONE.
A professional ops director that what you call professional 👍👍👍
thumbs up for paul. obviously didnt understand why you were there. took on board everything you said and came across as a really good guy
Well done DJ. And well done to Paul too. This is how reasonable human beings interact with each other. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Great video as usual. Very professionally done. Love the drone shots and inspired me to purchase a mini 2. I'm 73 and so far enjoy flying it. Thank you really enjoy and great to see PJ in some of your adventures. Loved the recent NEC appearance's.
I think generally this was a very positive audit for this business. It was quite refreshing to see a company director engage with you in an inquisitive but professional and friendly manner. Well done you and well done Samworth Brothers!
Yeah he'a a good Boss. Had the right balance of caution and professionalism.
They shouldn't fret too much if you find any minor faults or issues.
Because everyone knows nothing is perfect. And a Boss can't be expected to keep an eye on every single thing, and everyone, 24/7. Even in the best businesses in the land issues will occur from time to time.
Mind you... finding minor faults, helps the company improve their service and iron out any creases they may have missed over time...! 😉👍
@@tangomoggynoengi8518 Yep.
Another great plant manager very polite and professional what a great guy. Good review. I think you should ask to do plant tours There are lots of Industries out there and we know nothing about them or the work they do.
It started a little ropey, but it ended up really good he seemed to genuinely take on board your points Great Audit
Big respect to Paul, and another great audit
I like the information you give regarding where you are and what the business does etc for people who think your solely do audits for a bad reaction is just rubbish, people just need to be respectful just like yourself and to be fair to the bloke he was actually descent and you had a good conversation with him great audit
Great video and it highlighted the relaxed security , great perk to be able to charge your vehicle at work. Professional man well done
Hey DJ I know you’re a very busy person and love you’re work. We have the sports direct HQ in our village would be great to see drone go over it if you could on you’re travels ☺️
Hows he gonna know where it ie you haven't put the area lool
You can email him directly, its located on the 'about' section on his channel 😉
Lee to the Roy.. its a bit like wedding photography and you bang on for asking.
The equipment alone costs a fortune and you have to be fortunate to see your location.
Get your company to sponsor a drone operator or even...buy their own drone !!
You're is the contraction of "you are" so your first one is correct but your (note this) second one is not!
Not sure of that but thanks.
Contractions ?
Mr Paul Marrow, too nice & reasonable for this channel.......😁
I thought that Paul was rude at the start of the conversation. As you answered his questions we started to see the human side of him. And he managed to turn it around enough to leave a good impression of his company.
Decent, well spoken polite gentleman. His approach was spot on
Credit where credit is due. A professional response from a good director. The start might have looked a bit rocky but it ended on a positive note. Well done to both of you.
I have seen lot's of video's from different auditors but your video's are the most professional to be honest. Especially the interaction between people from the company, security and also police is friendly and professional. Some other auditors are in my opinion a bit to agressive in their interactions.
Great video's and looking forward to the next one !
