I love reading what the Spies and Ladies-in-Waiting have to tell Potato. Isabelle dropping some actual real secrets with saying that Greece has completed Nuclear Fission research and in the next breath says that they found documents that say Greece is mainly Eastern Orthodoxy. Really? Huh, who would have thought... Really earning that paycheck with that second one. EDIT: Ahaha... Isabelle reveals that Ephesus is under siege. That wouldn't happen to be the same city that Potato is attacking, now would it?
right now I'm at Canada's science and culture and wondering if Potato remembers that you can't declare a surprise war on them... may want to invest in spies with sabotage rocketry
Not normally one do to 1st, but I think I started this video immediately after it posted. Tanks + Railroads are awesome. Being able to crank them out in the rear and have them in combat the next turn is so great.
@@frankiecedeno3724 my thought for most for of the episode. Though maybe the though is when he snowballs enough he can just declare war and jetbomb all the space ports

can you open the overview at the start of the next part, to look how far the other civs have came in the different win cons? I´m getting somewhat anxious if not someone came close to a cultural victory or got maybe past the moonlanding.
Idk if this is even possible but I got a couple ideas. Honestly might look into modding it myself. I’d be very interested to see how possible it would be to port over old civ leader traits from different games into the current games. So for example civ 4 leaders have only traits, how good would those traits be if they were ported over into civ V or civ Vi. Like 2 happiness for city would turn into how many local amenities for each city.
I can't get over how Potato will correctly pronounce several cities that aren't spelled phonetically (e.g. Nantes as "Nonce" not "Nan-Tees", and even getting more or less the correct pronunciation of Rouen), but he _absolutely refuses_ to pronounce "Amboise" as "Am-bwah". I'm more frustrated at myself for caring so much about something stupid than I am about that one thing, but I just can't stop literally saying "AM-BWAH! _AM-BWAH!"_ It's me, hi, I'm the problem here.
This has been a great play series it was very close with greece but canada is still miles ahead. Im suprised the sea level rising didnt derail you as much as I thought it would as you lost a lot of districts on some of your more productive cities but your lumber mill spam made up for that.
he was producing a massive amount of food but his actual population was not particularly large, resulting in him having a massive food surplus. removing the farms reduced the food surplus to just above 0, but did not starve them. and even if it did starve them, the production output of the cities would still be increasing as more lumber mills are created and the reduced production from a shrinking population would not take effect soon enough to matter.
Potato, why don't you use observation balloons/drones? Having 4 range Artys confounds the AI. Edit: I see you did late in the video. You just lost more units than you needed
On deity when you don’t have your own religion and were converted in the medieval era. What are you supposed to do about stopping a religious victory from that player other than hope that the other AI’s take religion seriously enough to resist.
He also kept building units while sitting on a $10k+ amount of gold that he used for virtually nothing. He didn't need to build any units in his cities at that point tbh
Potato will never understand the excitement of seeing his next video pop up after being a few episodes in
Especially when it says payback it the title
I hear ya. I'm working night shift this week and it's been such a treat to get a new episode every night to enjoy.
You know Potato hasn't been practicing when he doesn't insta-buy balloons for his artillery as soon as he unlocks them
Those Japanese modern armour are looking suspiciously Canadian
3:38 "I don't expect this war to go very well"
Way to inspire the troops there General Potato!
Looks like his troops were suicidal, because the war went great.
A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day.

Last time I came this early I was apologising to your mother!
Came across your channel one night, the solo tile island start one. Don’t play Civ, have almost no idea what’s going on, and I LOVE watching 😂
Huzzah! wait, wrong channel
You should do a civ 6 without any dlc video before civ 7 comes out. So you can better compare the two
That 2000 year old festering grudge coming back to haunt the Greeks...love it.

Watching Tater pop off in this game is intensely satisfying. I wish I had this guy's recovery ability in this game. Ended too quickly. Thanks Tato!
Amusing that Gaul would start that madness right when you were on the warpath and in their neighborhood!
youre gonna have me redownloading various Civ games lol, this has been awesome
what a come back
It will never not be funny that you had jet bombers before researching electricity to me. Civ is wonderful
I spent a delightful portion of my day wondering if I was ever going to see an observation balloon
I love how in the thumbnail there are tanks and crossbowmen.
love when revenge comes together so efficiently
You could say that Gaul brought this onto itself when it started its doomed forever war some 112 turns earlier.
Tanks for the cities, Greece!
Idk why am am really loving this lol, i hope he dose the monthly event i want to see how he would deal with it
Monthly events are fun but mostly too easy. Same for this one.

Bro!!! You have a oil rig available 3 tiles off the coast of Lyon! Probably too late to utilize this info
Been playing this game for 8 years. Just learnt at least three new things.
Why have I been ignoring railroads all this time?!
Potato before bed? Thank you sir! ❤

Can someone explain to me how replacing all the farm tiles with (forests and) lumber mills doesn't create food shortages?
