I AM LEAVING A LOT OF PEOPLE OUT!! im sorry. i will update this as best i can. so many people sent in clips from so many sources and i am not super organized in how i kept track
That guy saying "we may be dying, but we're not dead yet" hit me in the feels. No idea why. just instantly teared up
Indeed, He is a legend in my books now on. Felt the pure love for challenges life gives and strenght everyone of us has inside.
I'm saving that quote for the rest of my life
Got the exact same feeling. I'm crying rn
Weak
a good expression for sure. It made me think how fragile life is. Each day, hour, minute second we are getting closer to death.
The fact that Casey received, reviewed and edited hundreds of videos sent to him, shows that his passion to do videos and vlogs is still there 💜
yeah im sure theres no one helping.
It’s like to be back to the vlogs time ❤But it’s happening right now 🤩
@@IHateStroads In case you didn't know, you can italicize by surrounding with an underscore.
@@michaeldelarm1630 anyone capable of editing a video with the same style of Casey would deserve recognition, but knowing Casey, in that case you would have seen their name in the final credits!
Acting was Dan 😂
“we maybe dying but we are not dead yet" that got me hard, tears gushing out after that line
Man i came here to say the same exact thing. Love to you brother, love to all. Let's live!
Shut up
it got you hard? pause 🤨
"That got me hard" What absolute nonsense are you spouting?
At 71, this video is helping me step up my training for my 8th NYC Marathon this year. What's helped me stumble through my 41 marathons is "the miracle isn't that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start." Thanks for the inspiration.
Give me your name and I’ll cheer you on this Sunday!
what's your current time, Jeff? you're inspiring
I was looking forward to this stitched-together video and it didn't disappoint
Ey niiiickkkkk
nick can you make me dinner sometime

Amazing some people had as crappy quality as the clip from 14 years ago.
Hello

His personality makes people feel included and feel good-it’s his gift
Why toughest though?

It's so nice to see many people are cheer up for Casey and I've got tears in my ears when I watching the part that a guy said "we maybe dying, we're not dead YET ". What an inspirational video that's motivate me to keep going on what I'm doing 💯
I teared up at that exact moment as well. Something about it hit me so profound
I ran the 2022 NYC marathon this year and wanted to do sub 4 hours. Came in at 5 hours, 3 minutes. Hardest, best, more grutleing and supportive event I've taken part in. Thanks for telling the story like you do Casey, love the videos always
Congrats. Do not stress time. Enjoy the journey and fact you actually did it that most can not
Congratulations! It was freakishly hot. You finished and that’s amazing.
@@emman1927 So it was the weather? Or weather plus those insane cardiac arrest jabs?
as someone who's running a marathon in less than 4 weeks, this was equally devastating and inspirational to watch. well done for getting the damn thing done despite the less-than-ideal conditions, casey 👊🏻❤
All the absolute very best for your marathon!!! U got this!!!
Connor!! Good luck at your marathon!
Did Casey's running partner get his shirt stolen?? Sad.
@@hobbs2005 lol what?
@@filmzen281 Yeah. Dude started the race with a shirt. But then at about 5:35, dude's shirt straight up vanished! Maybe that's why he didn't finished. Got straight up shirt mugged during the marathon.
I think you captured what it's really like to run a marathon. All those ups and downs, thoughts that you are not going to make it, a random stranger cheering you on and give you energy from out of nowhere to keep going. Most importantly you being able to beat your mind telling you that you can't do this by just doing it.
and he did it all on camera 😮 wild. every single person that ran that was incredible and he captured it while also doing it himself. i’m inspired. not enough i run a marathon tho 😅
Love seeing positive NYC content.
hmmm no. That's what it's like to run the new york marathon.
@@giudeba7113 it's also like this in London. I think you'll find many major cities have supporters lining the edges, cheering athletes on.
Everyone in the comments mentioning how good the video is and nobody mentioning Ashton Kutcher is both hilarious and goes to show how good this video really is.
OMG I thought that was him in the beginning but wasn't sure!
@@mariechaekyung3In the beginning and at the end again
Time stamp?
bro I thought the same :-D our man just casually hanging out with Ashton Kutcher :-D
You mean Kevin Malone??? People have often mixed up the two.
Imagine running next to him and hearing “let’s go Caseyyyy” for a whole marathon 😂
Worse than a foot slapper that wheezes.
if your name happens to be Casey as well, then it's a bangin move
To have THAT many people cheering you on throughout the marathon must feel absolutely insane!
It is incredible 🏆
I just did my first marathon and that spirit of people supporting people is what carried me through it
It was CRAZY!!!! I'd never FELT a crowd of people screaming before... especially at a running event. But you felt it.
@@x97672 absolutely!
Imagine how many people were cheering Ashton Kutcher on.
Your talent for storytelling is absolutely ridiculous. I got sucked into this video like nothing else. Love it.
So true. Love and and respect from Germany!
The fact he made this video in 2 days is insane
You tell stories authentically. Like no other, bro. Because you encourage me and all of us with your clips to tell our stories in our own way. And that's why I'm going to run this marathon too. Not only as a runner but also as a storyteller. Many thanks Casey and "Danke" from Hamburg, Germany!
WHY IS THIS VIDEO SO MOVING??? THE WAY EVERYONE CHEER YOU UP IS SO AMAZING, IM CRYING LOL ❤ LOVE U CASEY
You can see how much happier Casey is after moving back to NY. It truly is his home city.
the only reason casey likes NYC is because every gangster and person knows him. THATS WHY HE IS HAPPY
@@scatpack2721 eh, I wouldn't say that's it. I'd say it's simply because NYC has so much to do compared to the west coast. It's just nonstop action always. For some like Casey who is hyper active, NYC is home
@@bluefish537 Many other states and countries provide the same action as NYC and in some places its safer. I like your point however
@@scatpack2721 Nah, NYC was his home even when he wasn't famous yet.
@@nightwaves_ Yeah I agree NYC would be too busy for me too to live in. Definitely would like to visit one day. I'd prefer to live in quieter area in a big house with lot of land. But some people love NYC and that's great. Nothing wrong with it
The fact the Casey just casually had Ashton Kutcher in his vlog just shows his dedication to the story he’s trying to tell!

dude Jesse Wellens had Snoop Dogg in his video a couple weeks ago and never mentioned a thing, either 🤫
The line between UA-camrs and traditional entertainment personalities is blurring fast, so it’s not really a surprise anymore, but yeah, still cool nonetheless
Everything about this video is sooo good! The editing, music, storytelling, creativity, and message about what the marathon is truly about. I just ran my 7th NYC and you captured the day so beautifully! Thanks, Casey and welcome back to New York!!
This hits home real close. I’ve run New York City four times now, including this year, and it was a SLOG. I felt every single emotion and physical state that Casey felt last Sunday. His message at the end about why we do this is so reassuring. Fantastic video. 👏🏼
That's how much emotional support means. You were emotionally down on mile 11 when your friend bailed, but when your fans cheered you up, you ran like a champ to the finish. Great video as always.
"When your friend bailed..." Don't say it like that man. Caseys buddy is a mean machine, he just went way too hard early on.
To run a marathon is impressive. To run a marathon filming yourself through most of it and chatting with people all to show your fans is even more so. Thank you, Casey.
Obviously, this dudes not after time. LMAO..plus the race gives you enough time to finish even for a fat person to ensure a guaranteed finish in the end. I love how people don't think anymore. Thank you for showing the world how incredibly lacking you are among the majority of social media driven idiots out there.
Absolutely loved this video Casey! It perfectly summed up the whole race day for me. The crowds, the course, the support on the course from the runners and volunteers - none of that was overshadowed by the incredible heat and humidity that we faced. I was about 45 minutes slower than what I'd trained for, yet I'm not disheartened - it was still the New York City marathon!
You moved so many of us, Casey: you are so welcome back. Thank you for sharing.
The fact that he has to document the whole run is just even more amazing to me, that requires major focus
Simply having a phone in your pocket while running a marathon is a pain in the ass
@@MegaCoconut9 lol
@@MegaCoconut9 true that and probably didn’t help at all. But hey he made money while running. Can’t beat that.
Casey doing a marathon in NYC is something we have missed so much. You are so happy in NYC and the people of the city are happy to have you there. It's amazing that we are back to the roots again.
Glad to know that I wasn't the only one who got emotional while watching this video. You are an absolute inspiration! Congrats on finishing one of the hardest marathons.
Th nyc marathon is one of the most moving things I’ve ever seen. Your video explains that so perfectly. This video made me tear up, the sense of community is so powerful.
Him saying “it’s about doing it because you can” had me in tears 😭 I’ve seen his “do what you can’t” video a million times and it feels like he has come such a long way
Repent to Jesus Christ “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”
Colossians 3:2 NIV

and that line "it's about doing it because you can"....is exactly why i'm gonna run this marathon next year ..yep..just decided that today. Time to get to work..

How inspiring Casey, it shows how much you love to be back in NEW YORK CITY!!! As well as your enduring spirit, to GET IT DONE!!! You are inspiring those of us that cannot even dream of completing such an undertaking... It's just so good to see you on home ground once again... Love to you and all your family!!!

From a prior runner that has not been able to run a marathon since 2009 because of health issues, I just want to thank you for this video, thank you for the inspiration. Let me put it in writing to make myself accountable: I may have to walk a 7 hour marathon, but I'll do one again. To health! Cheers Casey!

@@watsonbry77 Thank you, I sure will give it my all. A lot of walking and more slow recovery ahead!
You can do this!!! ❤️
You got this!
It’s about the journey not the finish line. Walk or run. You are true man Tom!
I’m shocked he ran with that camera THE ENTIRE run. People don’t realize, even having a wallet in your pocket can be so much weight, add so much exhaustion to an already strenuous task. Bravo, Casey!
Think he was using a phone for the cut in running shots. Not a full vlog camera. It does the job.
You are such a good story teller. This made me so emotional, teared up a bit. This is such a powerful video. Thank you for always sharing. So glad you’re back!
Casey’s editing style is my absolute favorite. Most videos these days feel like a shot of whiskey where you get a quick rush and soon feel disoriented… This guy’s videos are like reading an epic story in the paper with your morning coffee..
It’s not about the amount of time, it’s about the fact that you made it Casey. Don’t be disappointed by the time, but cherish the good moments along the way and that feeling of joy when you crossed that finish line. We love you Casey 💯

I'm not going to lie, this was one of the most rough Marathons ever, not only is it uphill it was unusually warm around 70⁰ F and also it was very humid, just finishing this race is an insane accomplishment! The course is very hard too with the beginning being an uphill!
The Downhill on the second mile is where it began hurting. I expected the uphill and just went slow. My legs were like hamburger after the downhill mile, though. Did not see that coming!

I love how Casey makes a Marathon which is a very personal challenge and unique personal experience about everyone else! The spectators, the helpers, the NYC Emergency staff, he made it about all of New York and it's people. That's why we love Casey and his view of the world.

🤩
Thank you for creating this video! This was not only my first NYC marathon but my first marathon period! Knowing that I wasn’t the only one that got beat up by the heat reassured me hugely. The best experience of my life by far!
Fantastic! Will you be doing another marathon? 🤔
Hi Casey. First of all I want to thank you for inspiring so many people to vlog about their lives. You inspired me and I'm still doing my vlog 7 years later. Second congratulations on finishing the NYC marathon. This year was my 14th and by far my slowest time. It is a crazy thing to do, always painful and potentially dangerous. I started in the 5th wave and given my pace I knew I'd be coming in after dark. I FELL at mile 20 just as it was getting dark. I tripped on a pothole and went down. At my age (75) falls are a big deal. Fortunately nothing broke. There was no blood, just a bruise on my shoulder and a bunch of black nails on certain toes. I walked the rest of the way. I will do it again because it was the most fun marathon too. As you said, the crowd, the workers and volunteers were fantastic. There was a lot of love.
Congratulations on that incredible achievement
I’m not sure why but this video made me cry. I guess seeing you struggle was inspiring. Way to finish even when it felt impossible.
Marathons always make me emotional and this was no exception. You had a lot of support on the sidelines and that was a beautiful thing. Congrats!
Thats a best marathon vlog i ever see :) 5 years ago I start running because of you and still running thanks for that Casey. I hope some day i can run NYC marathon.
Wow!! This made me feel much better about my race, I also thought my first marathon was the hardest thing I’ve ever done and no other race will ever come close but this years marathon did. I knew I was in trouble in mile 1. I felt my first cramping at mile 10 and like you, started to walk at 13. But I always wanted to run NY for fun, so once I was done at mile 13 I decided to make it my fun year and I had a lot of fun with it. Got to actually stop to hug all the friends that came out to cheer for me.
13 miles is nothing to be ashamed of. I can barely complete a 5K.
These edits you're putting together are phenomenal.
Congrats on another marathon!!!!!
For some reason this is my favorite video of yours ever genuinely made me so happy to see all those people running and completing that race and everybody that came to support you and their families and friends
Thank you for this vlog Casey, I have learnt a lot from you, especially the positivity that you try to deliver via this video is just insanely good.
So incredibly inspirational - it got me emotional and I don’t know why!! I’m not from NY but you make me believe it really is the best city in the world!!!! Great vid and congrats!!!
This was a totally moving and motivating video Casey. Despite all the challenges you made it and completed the entire marathon and that is huge! As with all of life we can get curveballs thrown our way and it's what we do with them that counts! You persevered and no matter how difficult things got you adapted and kept going and that shows such a fabulous and valuable inner strength. Not that I am surprised! Thanks for the awesome video and it's so cool that so many people were filming and could provide you with video clips! That's so kind! Be well!! 🙂
Casey has a talent for curating videos that give you such a rounded whole understanding of what he is doing, all while inspiring you to get involved with challenging yourself and becoming better than you are today. Man has some serious skill.
Very true. I always come away wanting to sell everything and live in a tiny apartment in Manhattan just to experience a fraction of what Casey experiences.
The fact that you credited all those people to the best of your ability shows what an awesome human you are. Cheers!
I started running just a month ago and watching this really motivates me to continue on that path. Thanks for the video Casey!
As a runner, this video and everything about it resonates so hard with me. The joy, the pain, the nervousness... Man, hits ya right in the feels! 5 years ago I'd never have imagined running a marathon, and having just completed my first half marathon a month ago, it's videos like this that REALLY make me want to run the marathon, especially in a big venue with NYC or Boston. Man, what a thrill that would be!
GREAT video @Casey, as always!
Awesome, just awesome. I loved this quote 9:26 "We may be dying, we're not dead yet".
I've never wanted to do a Marathon, but this actually made me think about it 🤙. Amazing job pushing through the pain and doing it! ❤
Happy to see you back in the city, nyc missed you, you captured the city perfectly! would love to see you in Queens more often, we held you down and kept you energized! Peace Casey, welcome back!
The amount of energy it takes to pull off your life and deliver like you do on a daily basis completely reshaped my understanding of what a single human is actually capable of. Humbling, eye-opening to say the least. Lately in a conversation with my 16 year old son (who loves hip-hop) he asked me about my definition of the term "keeping it real". I told him go binge watch casey instead of netflix.

first marathoner here in nyc 2022 and it was definitely a tough one but the most incredible and rewarding experience EVER. the crowds were insane and kept me going the whole course, it was amazing. congrats on your time! it was a very hard race for everyone.
I can't describe this emotion. I think it's your editing, your music choice, your statements and theology with everything you do. Perhaps it's the idea that I want to live in NYC one day. Perhaps it's the idea that I feel so proud of people who can run 26.5 miles, when I, myself, can barely do 1. I almost started to cry at the end of the video because it was such a...happy, but sad, video. I'm a new subscriber and I've been binging a lot of your videos for a few weeks now. You seem so excited and optimistic with every video you put out. But, this one. This one right here. It felt like you were very sad, or at least disappointed in yourself. The end card when you mentioned that this was your slowest race: For some reason, that hit me. Again, I can't really explain it, but in that moment, I felt more connected with you than I have before watching the other videos. Just, the sheer storytelling, and videography in your videos - the music choice -- everything. Incredible. Simply, incredible.
Thank you for being you, Casey.

Always inspirational Casey! the dog at 8:33 is the star of the show for me 😂
The connection Casey has with the people that enjoy his work is out of this world
