this is a GREAT tool! i have never seen a hanging, swinging "bomb bag", like this one...NICE! i used to use the half tire version for kicks & shin conditioning, i loved it! i have my own gym now...you got me thinking about making a "head" (like yours), a "body" (by flipping it parallel to the floor, waist high) and figure somthing out for the legs??? Thanks for the innovation and creative inspiration!
Nice invention looks to be a long lasting punch bag ! ! ! The Boxer doing the punching seem to have very good punching technique, I'm more impressed with his workout than with the tire ..... 5 STARS Paulie D' The Punch Professor
Hey Oakstboxing. I'm not an expert by any means but whether this is you or one of your students, i just want to say that they look great on that thing. very crisp powerful strikes. Keep up the good work! 5*
thanks bro. well said. you cant keep everyone happy. its just an ordinary video, its was my first video, nothing special about it, its just showing how you can use a tyre instead of a bag.
This vid is old but I thought that you could add easily add 'arms' to this thing to practice slipping, bobbing etc. Drill a hole, slide a length of PVC in there, 'lock' it with an inner-tube rubber band...
@oakstboxing76 hey yeah im glad you can take a joke well,,its really a great set up,,, maybe i can call in for a spar some time when passing, im north suncoast but work on the gold coast now and then, maybe we can see some 4 5 and 6 punch combos fluid with some weaving,
cheers bro :) its like this one video i seen a few years ago. it wasn't the best video but people just picked the shit out of this kid, just a kid having a go, just no need for it. if you don't like don't look at it don't comment on it.
Wouldn't the tyre wreck your boxing gloves though? and the bolts on the lower pad of the tyre would wear the gloves even more. I love the semi circle idea on the pillar though :)
@@StevenDBP76 I been trying to figure something out so I don’t have to pay so much for Muay Thai sessions, it’s almost $100 a hr now, too much if you want to do it religiously. I get best thing would be a pole cement with tires and just double up or triple up on punches or kicks, but yes you are right, nothing can replace a human pad holder
@@ktfoent wow $100 an hr thats crazy, i can sort or understand if thats one on one and he would want to be a very good coach with credentials, joining a class would be cheaper
@@StevenDBP76 true but I been doing Muay Thai for well over 10 years and I’ve experienced real class Muay Thai training so what most gyms end up having is unhappy fighters not getting advanced level training because the gym also needs to pay its bills(beginners take a lot of effort and time), so I been to pretty much all the gyms in my area and finally I prayed and screamed out for a answer and a old buddy of my reopened his gym so I been lucky to pay $1 a minute for training and some good quality training thai style, but just a month before I was struggling so bad to find training that’s worth it
+Barsh Ko See, now you're stealing lines. That's the same thing I told you when I stole your girl. But don't worry! I didn't really want her. I just wanted to f*ck her, like the people in this video is fucking up the way they're using the tire. Cheers!
+Steven Peters Full of shit. Good Luck To You! SMH. Someone should've gave you the instructions on how to use it. There's a reason and a purpose to use tires over a heavy bag. But continue wasting your time. 👍👍
For the record I see no wasted time on these tires. I see techniques and exercises that can't be done on a swinging heavy bag. Totally worth it.
very nice! when I was in cuba, they had tires bolted onto the walls. haven't seen this approach before - very creative
Excellent video and gob. Super like by Warmachine bodybuilding of garage Gym italy

Half tire in a to steel bar is awesome
would love to see a video explaining this.
Do you have a tutorial on how to make this or the new design? Would be awesome to implement this at home!

They have two tyre bags in my gym. Only downside of them is they cane your gloves.
i am amazed i want one, what size tyres have you used?

@oakstboxing76

Sir good day! can you send me link or any idea on how to make one of these bright idea tia.
Excellent thanks:)
@gymhodgson Did you ever get to test any of these out?
looks good but arnt you telegraphing those uppercuts abit with the tire, any decent oppent would see it coming and so just avoid it
how did u attach the half tyre to the full one that you used first? cheers
thats fantastic. what tires do you use for this?
Wouldn't the tyre wreck your boxing gloves though?

Upper cut practise......
Yeah that's a neat idea. There's actually a few nails and screws in the ones in my gym.
oh i wanted to give u a tumbs up but my mouse sliped and i hit tumbs down ,,mybad
Moving everywhere, when can we finally invent something that feels like real pads without the pad holder
unfortunately nothing will be able to replace a human pad holder, we can come close, i do remember when i used to hit this thing it felt good
