I remember going to these events! Looking forward to 3 days of 'spiritual ecstasy' and renewal. I even had a part once! Excited to get new books, etc. Sadly, as I look back, i realize that they really manipulated us with all of the hype & propaganda. So many changes ('new light') and selling out to the devil (so to speak). I left after just 14 years in, not born in (thank goodness!). I gave more years to that org than I have any other job or relationship (other than my family). I also believe, have the opinion, that ALL religion is a cult in varying degrees & variations. I returned to being an unbeliever--I stopped believing in god, or a god, when I was young. And I openly return to being an unbeliever, happily return. Religion has been nothing but an ugly excuse to harm others, control others by fear & guilt, and to murder others in some "god's" name calling them heretics, infidels, etc. Good vids! Shortly after going to a church, I met a person studying with JWs, she asked me to join her study. Loved-bombed, scripture fed, etc.... Was in a little over 10 years. Saw a lot of ugly behind the scenes stuff in my time in. There are some really good people in, many who secretly wanted out. Those were ones born in, or came in when really too young to know any better. I gave lots of 'talks' at the table, gave 100%. Even wanted to pioneer. Eventually, life happened that JW/jehovah just couldn't help with. I had to leave due to severe abuse, hypocrisy and outright lies I was catching GB or other 'leaders' in.

There were other inside issues w/the cong I was in, but so much hit at once for me in regards to why I needed to leave. So glad I was not born in & only gave a relatively short time of my life & energy to that org. I know several dear women who are trapped in that org, born in, or been in for so long. I even know a few men as well in that situation. As many of us who have left know that as well.
Have THEY not PROFITED from their MASSIVE publishing house, real estate empire, the selling of kingdom halls, along with the future financial prospects of their movie studio; none (or extremely little) of which goes to charitable organizations???
I'm from the Caribbean and we had this very bad hurricane Maria which devastated the entire country including my house, the branch office send a traveling overseas to evaluate the damage done to fellow witnesses so they can give help needed,they came to my house and prayed with me and never gave me not a nail, so that religion onle collect money but not doing any charity work

I think its believed that Jesus is the angel at Revelation 18:1 because the angel illuminates the entire earth. This assumption is based on: 1.) The transfiguration when Jesus face shone as the sun. (Matthew 17:2) 2.) Revelation 1:16 when Jesus countenance was like the sun when it shines at its brightest. Since its the sun that illuminates the entire earth and Jesus is likened to this, the assumption is not without merit.
So apparently Jehovah was not wise enough to state in "His word" the Bible that this was Jesus. He had to wait until the Jehovah's Witnesses organisation was formed in the late 1800s before explaining what he meant🤭🤭🤭

Also denied is the fact that Jesus is the Messiah, yes the Christ! The chosen is subject to the one who chose him. I have concluded the trinity is the denial of Jesus as Christ or the chosen one. 1 John 2:22 warns of this precisely. Some say Jesus is 100% man and 100% God; but this claim invalidates Jesus sacrifice and I dont want to invalidate Jesus sacrifice by saying he is more than Adam while on earth. (1 Corinthians 15:22; 1 Timothy 2:6) Jesus had the same legal right to live continually as Adam it was taken from him and that right applied to Adams offspring. Afterwards Jesus was elevated but not equal to God. (1 Corinthians 15:27, 28)
