  • In the final video of my coverage of the Jehovah's Witnesses 2024 "Declare The Good News" Convention, I am joined by fellow exJW activists Falon and Jason from the channel ‪@DiffiCULTChildhood‬ . We comment on 12 points from the convention that seem to indicate the direction the religion is going into (or not). We discuss how the Jehovah's Witnesses leadership seem to have no appetite for dropping some of the religion's most harmful policies, such as the prohibition on blood transfusions and higher education. We discuss how misogyny continues to be an issue in the religion and how the leadership give reckless advice on issues such as mental health difficulties.

    One important key to scholarship is peer review as one of your guests stated. JW’s, on the other hand, promulgate their teachings through repeating them in an echo chamber with intolerance for dissent. The inevitable result of that is that inaccuracies and falsities are reinforced. And therein lies the history of this religion. No need to put so much effort in the ministry without putting equal amounts of efforts to show love to those already in the congregation.
    Not showing love by apologizing to a fellow believer who you have harmed or hurt, instead of always putting it on the person who has been hurt while the individuals who go around crushing people have no responsibility towards those they hurt; they just keep commenting like they are righteous.
    They may be righteous, but they have no kindness. Kindness is a fruit of the spirit, righteousness is not.

    Who's to say Jesus was resurrected? He simply survived his crucifixion.

    • @AnthonyMorrisReturns
      @AnthonyMorrisReturns  Місяць тому +1

      I have heard of this theory but I think it's a minority view among scholars.

    • @morningglory9288
      @morningglory9288 Місяць тому

      @AnthonyMorrisReturns the reason I say this is because
      ● 1) The timing his execution took place. It was the night of the passover and no criminal was to remain on their torture impliment over night, so timing was crucial.
      ●2) The 2 criminals beside Jesus were alive and talking to each other. Their legs were broken to speed up their deaths. This is so they're no longer able to lift themselves up to breathe normally. It was common for men to remain alive for 3-4 days when being crucified....A slow painful torturous death.
      ●3) To the guards it appeared Jesus was already dead, so his legs were not broken. He never felt the spear plunge into his side. Why? Because when he drank the wine that was handed to him, what that was, it was an anesthetic which literally knocked him out unconscious. It was already prearranged among his faithful followers that Jesus would survive his crucifixion.
      ● 4) When Jesus cried out "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?" At that point, he felt so weak he literally thought he was going to die. This was not meant to happen.
      ● 5) When one of the disciples asked for Pontius Pilate's permission to take Jesus down, he was granted that. Again, his fake death was pre-arranged.
      ● 6) Nicodemus and Mary Maggdolene were already waiting for Jesus at the burial tomb with myrrh and aloes. These herbs have amazing healing properties which they used to revive Jesus and begin the process of healing his wounds.
      ● 7) Jesus reappeared to his disciples 40 days later showing off his wounds to prove it was him, alive though unrecognizable, because he'd have been killed for a certainty if anyone knew it was really him.
      ● 8) Jesus later went on to travel Asia, and was later believed to have died in Kashmir India at the age of 80 yrs. His tomb is located there. You can research this fact.
      If christendom were to acknowledge these facts as truth, this would destroy the whole concept of religion and Christianity in particular. Because the death and resurrection of Jesus and him dying for our sins is what christendom bases its whole theology on. Without it, christendom becomes a lie. As we know, Jesus was initially put to death for blasphemy, claiming to be God's son, sin had nothing to do with the reason he was being crucified. This concept was later added in the scriptures by the apostle Paul who after his conversion to Christianity, still held onto his strong Hebrew heritage and doctrines of blood sacrificial deaths of firstborn animals and humans to his God Yahweh. Exodus 13:1,2; Exodus 34:19, 20

      @@morningglory9288 I guess what you're saying in points 1-7 would be valid if we were to assume that what the Gospel writers recorded is accurate history, which I'm just not on board with

    • @morningglory9288
      @morningglory9288 Місяць тому

      @AnthonyMorrisReturns I agree, much of the Bible has been manipulated to promote a certain narrative men wanted to portray, mainly that Jesus died for our sins. But in doing so, they deliberately excluded other gospels that should've been included, ie: gospel of Mary, Judas, Philip, Thomas, gospel of truth, gospel of Peter, Enoch, among many others. These books went against the narrative they wanted to portray, so were deliberately excluded.
      So having said that, what it all boils down to is that none of us are sinners, and Jesus did not die for our sins.
      Gospel of Mary QUOTE: "Peter said to him, "Since you've explained everything to us, tell us one more thing. What's the sin of the world?"
      The Savior said, "Sin doesn't exist..."

      @@morningglory9288 Absolutely fascinating! You're right, they couldn't have anything in there that didn't fit the narrative. It's interesting that historical scholars use the non-canonical Gospels when they are trying to form a picture about Jesus.

    THOSE who believe and know the WORD, the entire counsel of GOD. THE cult only talks about topics that interest them and they are NOT experts on translation in fact they have errors--look at NEW WORLD translation. If you love JEHOVAH who is JESUS CHRIST, the two are ONE, you will want to read HIS word follow HIS word and read a good translation like KJV. If too difficult. Why talk about well educated, LEPROSY is a picture of SIN.
    There is no mention of sin, salvation and the gift of eternal life, being born from above.
    Don't spend time on people's thoughts READ THE WORD get serious about getting to KNOW the GOD of the WORD. ALL scripture is GOD BREATHED. You talk about nonsense rather than life in HIM. Col 3
