    Hey Dan, great fun test! I don't see the point in hitting your ball 313 yards into the bush. Give me a club that finds the fairway 80% of the time and I'm a happy golfer!

    I hope your back survived this ! TSR3 in the bag & waiting until the Titleist truck pulls up at our club to try the GT range but I fear the price demanded versus any jump in performance may be difficult to justify..at the same time seeing the Callaway numbers, it could be time for a complete change in the bag!

    I’m using the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond MAX. Limited release by Callaway, it’s in between the MAX and TD, slightly higher launch and spin yet really forgiving. Love it!

    Great video Dan. I did an online survey for titleist about golf media. Asking where we watch golf etc you were one of the choices for the you tube channels I picked you and put Bernies channel as an other choice both great channels.

    A guy I know uses an orange castle all the time and hits some real bombs, 280 - 310 yards and that's with an old square shaped club that's probably about 20 years old... Orange is definitely the tee you need for big high bombs.!!

    There could be a case for having the Callaway in your bag with a bit of tweaking, impressive. Personally, I won't be paying over £500 for a golf club, I'll wait for the price to drop when they're superseded. Great stuff as always.

    My buddy who plays the new Titleist GT went to a LIV event and said the Ping lst drivers in play was crazy. I picked one up a while ago and noticed I'm a little shorter on my home course. After gps tracking my drives it was costing me enough that I put my Stealth 2 plus back in the bag. My guess is the tour guys are playing it due to dispersion/accuracy. Unfortunately I just got tired of hitting one to two extra clubs into the green.

      switched to the 10k ping from gt3 im a 1 cap. anyway the confidence and forgiveness of that head while having mid low spin has freed up my swing. im not short but so easily down the middle. i like it better than the lst...

    Would like to see smash factor/strike for each out of curiosity. Fit into GT2 coming from my trusty old TS3 this year and absolutely love it. Distance is great with it but the forgiveness and spin consistency is unreal. Find myself with a lot more confidence and in a lot more fairways.

  • @michaelscore6763

    That's a nice review Dan! It looks like doing hard work in a gym... Did you sweat? But at the end i missed a elementary factor : using always the same shaft! Not the driver head is finally reason for the speed, itself for all the flex and they flex point of the shaft! Also counts the weight and for all the length of the shaft! As longer a shaft is, as faster becomes the tempo of the clubhead, as faster the ball speed....
    I would prefer s Titleist Driver for finding mirrors fairways! The low spin variation here is the GT 2 and not the 3.... But i would take a GT 3 because placing a ball is what counts.
    Thanks for the entertaining review! Cheers

      @@antd684 Andy Carter was fitted by Titleist and went from his loved tsr2 to a GT3 after testing the GT 2. The GT2 was by far more less spinning than the GT3 and that's well known by Titleist fitting experts. He took the GT3 finally because the ball flight was higher with more spin so that he is able to hit more fairways as he did before with his tsr2 or the GT2 now... Maybe the GT4 is still more less spinning.... Cheers!

    I liked your comparison. However I do watch other channels on UA-cam, don't subscribe to them. The TM sponsored players started off with the LS version and found it didn't spin enough to really bomb the ball, they went for the standard Qi10 albeit with an upcharge shaft. Remember you got to have some spin to make it go further. The same with the Callaway, lofting up is the norm. Unless someone has a Rory type swing speed mph the LS version seems redundant nowadays..

    It’s not the driver. It’s club head speed. Even Tiger admits that. I have a Taylor Made R11. 13 years old. Gets used at least 5 holes every week. I still out drive my playing partner with the Q10. This tech only works at the very low HC level. He spent $1000 to get on average 5 to 10 metres. Don’t worry about drivers. Get hybrids to be longer off the fairway. I approach from 220 yards with a halo 2 hybrid. I could never do that with an iron.

      My 5 wood goes super high, carries 225 and lands soft. I want my clubs to stop dead. I use my 3 wood as my driver on most holes because I can work it and take it 235 with cut spin or 260 with a draw and rollout. But my stock shot is 245 and straight. Who needs driver?

  • @edanzore
    @edanzore 3 місяці тому

    How much playability did you use by lofting them down and reducing spin? These test are meaningless since most players would not use clubs adjusted like they are for scoring purposes.

      you are leaving 10-20 yards on the table with a 10 year old driver. That could be hitting a 8-iron instead of a 6-iron on your 2nd shot. My G410 is around 5 years old I think. It's ok but probably there are longer clubs now.

    said this on another of your vids. the triple diamond is the longest , most forgiving on all the club face I've ever hit. i just turned 48 5 days ago and i hit more over 300 this yr than ever. even the spinny "mis hits" are 20 yrds farther.

    • @joshuat7171
      @joshuat7171 3 місяці тому

      So your swing speed is 115? Distance is all about hitting the center of the face with a neutral path at a fast speed. I like to feel like I’m hitting irons so I have a 12 degree lofted club that I’m hitting down 5 degrees at impact for the effectively a 7 degree loft. Never felt good about changing my swing for a driver. I “compress” the ball and manage 270 with a 100 swing speed. That’s all I’ve got.
