This is actually a must. There is no sense in pushing CPU to 100% and 100°C every ten seconds. That seems obviously bad for CPU health. Now I can run it at 70°C or below, so it is safer now. Many thanks to you.
This absolutely works in Unbound too just tried it, I have the same processor as you and I was crashing due to EXTREMELY high temps, now im at about 70 degrees
@@notAvnnOn Steam right click your game and check under the Manage section, you will see Browse Local Files. For EA Play its more or less the same but you have to check the properties tab.
Thanks a lot, this tip really works on Unbound , earlier I've put user.cfg without quote " on the end of config and ride still was freezed, now is the pure speed&madness 😁
Thank you so much! I always thought why my fans ramp up so hard during cutscenes, but now it's a breeze. I can finally play this great game without needlessly pushing the hardware.
You saved me I bought a new system with an i7 14700kf paired with an 360Aio The i7 reached 93° in Cinebench, which was normal, but 100° in NFS Heat and Unbound Thanks to you its now under 70 constantly
My poor little i7 6700 is maxed out with this game, but MSI Afterburner shows my temps don’t even pass 75c. Even so I eventually crash and my computer starts freaking out and glitching. Gonna install a nicer cooler in place of the lil stock one, hopefully it helps.
Go hydro loop. Iv never had an issue with Corsair . Even if it's a single 120mm rad hydro you will see a night and day different compared to a stock intel heatsink cooler. .
thank you this helped me !! i have a i5 11400f and it was reaching 85 degree when playing the game i tried this and now it never goes above 70 and no performance lose thank you !! liked and subbed
Wow it made a huge difference my temps were around 80 first time i started the game. Then second time i played it it was around 60 - 70 but with this method its all the way down at 23 - 27 degree ( no performance cost ) on 12700k with 3080 ti 32 gigs of 6000 mhz Ram.
I've been playing NFS games since Porsche in 2000 and Hot Pursuit II 2002, left disappointed after trying the 2012 Most Wanted reboot. Rivals I liked, but it always randomly crashed, now that I think of I can't tell if it maybe had the same problems. Then Forza Horizon came out and later I got the Xbox One for Forza Motorsport 5 and the rest is history. Now after those decades, Steam turned 20yrs and NFS Heat was on sale for just 7 bucks, cheaper than a double shot Whiskey at the local pub, no brainer, let's give it a go I thought. A mix of Underground, the old Most Wanted, Undercover, Hot Pursuit at night and Pro Street at day, what could possibly go wrong, maybe it's back at the roots, yeah... And then, you guessed it, I found this video in 2023 because the by now 4 years old Heat makes it's name an honour by producing much physical heat! That poor i7 9700 here went to 90°C and above, sometimes crashed. That's a 8-core but without HT, so this fix helped much. Now when game paused and writing this comment, I get around 75-79. Always learning a thing in the game of life.
Gee that's still hot. Running a heatsink cooler on that i7? Look at going single fan hydro. It is a shocking shame what ea have done to NFS. But it's not just ea. Since they let criterion have it. You could also try reducing the games priority on the CPU in task manager might help. But instability might come back. Worth a try.
@@SgtDrayke It's a bad stock build, too. That i7 is in a MSI Aegis 3, a tiny micro case named as portable gaming PC, together with a RTX2070 Super that's making things even worse for heat/Heat. Funny is the fix helps on AMD, too. I just put the same SSD, the very same system in the other PC with a 6core (logic 12) Ryzen 5500 and GTX970 4GB. That one didn't had the 100% issue, it ran at around 60-70% and that same 4-core config file reduced it to 30-40%. And it still looks great and plays smooth. It seems the better your GPU is and the higher the graphics setting, the more it increases the CPU load, the more people run into that issue these days, more than back then.
@@FunIsGoingOn AHH yeh makes sense why that CPU is hot then those things are tiny. So more GPU bigger better or maxing a games setting means more demand/strain. @Jaytwocents does a good vid of this showing the visual effects of "bottlenecking" which works both directions CPU to GPU and GPU to CPU.
Ok for you it doesn't appear to. I've had many people with different systems and have configured the file differently saying it has worked. Just one of those things its not for everyone.
My brother come with this problem, he has i5 6500 and 1660 super, game crash, cant open, etc... cpu at 100%, so he ask me to play the game and see if its happens too.I have 3060 and 5600g and got the same problem... we copied these instruccions and the game goes 65C° and 35 40% of usage, thanks man!
I have a 3070 5600G and it still runs like crap and stutters, even with the note config. The whole reason I bought this game on PC, was to get the full benefit of more than 30fps like on console, just to have major performance bottlenecks on an expensive PC. Dear god.
yeh so this isnt just limted to NFS Heat,, Most EA titles have issues on pc. its an ea pc thing, The 5600g is a 6c12t cpu.. so running it on 4 will be fine. you can simply copy past the "bit" in the description., make sure you don't change any wording/letters/symbols/spaces . Make sure the file created in Notepad is saved as "user.cfg" cfg being the file type. Added note If you are running the Steam version of the game it has been known to not work.
Thank god u saved my pc. I had this problem where my 12 core cpu ( i7 12700F ) was at a 100% usage thing is my whole pc crashed playing this game and was unusable for more an hour or up to 12 hours after shutting it off. This game is eating my pc and i don't like it.
Gee. Might be worth checking your heatsink, give it a clean if it needs it and change the compound if you know how. Compound can dry up and crack between the CPU and heatsink this can result in an air pocket or inability to transfer/disparate heat correctly this CPU and socket remaining hot.
@@SgtDrayke it has a 100% usage not 100°C my cpu is not running hot it is around 60-75°C most of the time and should not run hot and it is cooled by a aio. This pc is only 2 years old

I applaud you 👏 for sticking with it and working it out! Not many do at the early stages. Windows 10 to 11 is a little different mainly the file explorer. Did You know you can go into task bae and move the start menu back to the left , remove the search box and news stuff off the taskbar. 😉
Thanks, it worked on my ryzen 7 6800h, my laptop got to 100°C constantly while playing, after the fix i get 80 constantly with some spikes up to 86 wich is waaay better
This video is very good and did help. However, my temps remained to high to my likings. Another issue seems to come from the FPS. If you have a tool to cap your FPS that'll make a HUGE difference. I use Nvidia control panel to do it. Sucks that EA couldn't be bothered to add an option to limit the FPS in their options menu. Lazy c*nts!
Ea does a lot of things, especially not care about pc users. The pc market is tiny for the game . So they just port of the console. When it comes to NVC. I am proud to say I'm a geek. First thing I do after getting a game is load it then close it, straight into NVC and make my own profile (profile is like geforce experience but for geeks) Heat and FPS. All the extra trimmings like AA or msao, ssao etc turn off. Just load the game with default res, capped FPS to match your screen, medium graphics options with AA off and motion blur all that. The motion blur, particle extra texture filtering will all eat your GPU (reduce FPS and overwork your GPU = heat) Then once youv found a stable setting go back in and just switch things on until you find your preferred setting. If your on a laptop that's 1080hd you could go to 960 res as this isn't regarded as hd it's less demanding. Good luck
Hello, I am currently using an Asus TUF A17 with 8 cores and 16 threads. Although the game runs smooth most of the time, but often I feel severe lags which makes it unplayable. Would you be kind enough to tell what data should i tailor to put on the user.cfg file. Thanks in advance

Yup. More to the point of when a game that has less particles and graphical detail to process/render than cyberpunk in low spec with a Linux VM running cyberpunk in the background. Poor optimisation and shows they didn't care if people's consoles burn up because they're at full tilt.
bro my cpu temp continuously hiting to 90 degree celceus (ryzen 5600h) in my acer nitro5 laptop what should I do? I have low down the graphics from ultra to medium but nothing happened.
Id say prey .. jokes aside Laptops of any kind unless you pay skywards of 3k are not meant for gaming. especially games like nfs that eat CPU's .. reduces the resolution to 720 or 1080, play on medium to low settings, turn off AA or MSAO any kind of advanced anti aliasing or particle/ textures.. use the file on 4, . if you can with gpu console or in game limit the game to 60fps. besides that not much else.
I'm just testing this and then I still got 93 degrees but cpu usage below 50%, I play on legion 5 ryzen 7 5800h and rtx 3060, I play on low to medium 1080 60 fps rivatuner, user.cfg thread on 8,
CPU is an 8 core. 3.2ghz . But mobile chip. Heat will always be your enemy with laptops. I'd just run it the same 4core setup. Would release 4 cores for other process. Game runs fine on 4. (Some times better then the more cores) Run the game 1080 medium textures ,. Turn off msao, AA, motion blur etc disable vsync for now. You should see a noticeable difference. Really you could get this setup running the game 1080 high textures details. But there's a lot of if's. Like background apps. Total mem and speeds etc. 3060 is a strong card but not powerfull. Also if your CPU usage is 50% and core clock is stock 3.2 or less. Then I'd question if your laptop has its fan curve or cooling curve right. All air vents are clear of dust or obstruction. Chances are your CPU and GPU share heatsinks.
Yeh so AMD admit the 5800x runs hot and is designed to do so. It's heavy recommended to only run that CPU with water loops or hydro . And if you do with no option run them with air heatsinks to set the temp limit to 88% or risk damage to chip/socket. A Corsair h115i elite hydro if you have the space would cool that easily down by 30c. But it wouldn't be silent.
Well. Consoles. Ea only care about the highest seller, the game is made on pc tested in a console sandbox, then play tested and released on console. Then they port it back to pc. As long as the majority which is console are happy they don't care. But think about the fact the game code is to set the consoles to 100% performance regardless of load.. that's why consoles run hot and burn out. Also people moan about games like cyberpunk and starfield having glitches but when it comes to EA NFS / FIFA or COD games with serious issues like glitchers , hackers , everyone is all silent.. so nothing gets done about it... go figure
I tried this and it’s not working for me. I’m running a 12th gen intel i5 12600k with an AMD RX6800, there’s no reason why it needs to use all 10 cores. Idk what I’m doing wrong bro. 🤦🏻♂️
It didn't work for me :( It crashes everytime after 10 minutes of playing. Temps went stable at 70 .. all other soulutions you find online didn't work either.. I'm absolutly clueless.. my hardware is Gigabyte Z590 Gaming X, Prozessor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-11400F, 16gb ram, 1tb ssd Kingston, Geforce RTX 3050. Can someone help me ? I'm not that educated in pc stuff so a long explanation for dummis is the thing i need :D
Soooo... Firstly it doesn't always work for everyone. there is a lot of parameters to cover and sometimes it just wont work. I would say load the game default with out any additional files. (like the cpu fix) go to options and set the game to run in window mode with graphics settings to medium or low. when the game is in window mode you can Alt+tab out to desktop and then use the mouse to resize the game window. unfortunately the game doesn't always remember the window size you set after every game restart. In regards to your cpu and gpu, your cpu is still strong even to todays standards, memory being 16gb is good in size but obviosly depends on speed. DDR4 ? i would probably expect 2600 or 2800. unless you paid out for 3200 back in the day. but your gpu is 3050 which is not great. anything below 3070 is really a rip off. some argue the 3060 was great at its time. but if your doing anything above 1080 or be it 1080 max youl suffer. you can get some good 3070ti second hand cards out there at a good price. this would be like a doubling of your gpus performance with this system. i wouldn't recommend looking at the 4 series with the rest of this hardware. also depending on psu limits probably not work looking at 3080. makes the 3070ti a good mid point upgrade. quick look here in the uk a decent 3070ti like the tuf around £360 or look at the EVGA 3070 XC3 black some great deals at £250 great card still packs a punch. also good for an editing rig. but returning to putting the game to window. from this point your able to monitor other applications whilst the game is in window mode. you can use tools like Hardware Monitor (www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html) is personally use the zip version. this will let you see temps across the system. dont always rely on task manager to give you correct information. CPU and heat. If your using a heatsink cooler on your cpu it will be hotter than hydro loop or water-cooled. you enemy here is air flow and air temp. room temp will also effect your system temp. how can you reduce your cpu temp? depending on the hardware go into bios and set a harsher fan speed or in the os if you have fan control program set it to react with a harsher fan speed to temp. reduce load on the cpu, do dont run extra applications in the background when gaming, (like chrome or spotify) dont just think they are closed because they are in the tray. actually end there process. once you have the game in window and yourv found your base stability then progress upwards. so either up the games settings or set it to full screen see wat happens. i would try the cpu fix, your cpu is 6c12t so i would run the same setting iv put in the description setting them to 4. make sure you have copied it correctly to notepad and saved it correctly. ***Thread.ProcessorCount 4 Thread.MaxProcessorCount 4 Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0 Thread.JobThreadPriority 0 GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 4"*** highlight and copy everything within the 3 stars including the final comma . not including the 3 stars. paste to note pad. any additional characters will cause issues. Additionally go into nvidia control panel for your 3050 (which by the way is not a strong gaming gpu for anything above 1080) go to the option "configure surround, physX" make sure your option for PhysX is set the gpu not cpu, Other questions id be asking is does your cpu run hot in the 70c when playing other games. if yes. then question the type of cooler your using, diretion, fan placement. when was the last time it was cleaned or even if its a 3 year old system does the compound between heatsink and cpu need to be cleaned/re-applied.
it wont work for everyone. as long as you followed it, no spaces or extra characters/letters in the file. its named and saved right then it should work. but sometimes it just wont.
@@ABOLFAZLGAMING1 so staying you play rdr2 at 40/60 means nothing to me. It's meaningless info . You could be playing it at 640x370 minimum settings at 40/60 FPS. Modern ea games are poorly optimised so it doesn't matter what other games you play it's still poor. Don't own FH5 so wouldn't know.
well no not as such in either cases. if you are saying "power usage" as in ref to "amount of power being drawn/used by devices or total power consumption". you can lower your gpu power draw with software like msi afterburner (if you dont know how to use it, read read read. you can cause some serious damage) but that will in turn reduce your gpus performance. same with many things. like reducing your memory voltage would also reduce its working performance. same with the cpu. but if you are maximising the hardware to 90+ Load they will go to the maximum power draw to support demand..
@@kqzero it might not for everyone. Just double check the file has actually saved as a cfg and the contents are correct no additional characters. Worth noting that the steam version does have issues. Steam may also remove the file when validating.
Hello, my problem is that the CPU usage keeps increasing the longer I play the game. Even if I close the game my CPU usage stays hight for the WMI Provider host. I never had this problem before or with any other game. And the only solution is restarting my PC. Any advice? I have a Ryzen 7 3800x and a 5700xt with 32gb ddr4 so my specs should be more than enough.
So WMI PH is not really heavily used with NFS heat/Unbound . Although it has been know for 3rd party software like razor and other "hid" to use more resources whilst in game. Simple google search will show you how many people have issues with "additional" programs like synapsis or razor hogging resources when a game is launched. It would be worth having a look at your top 20 process whilst the game is loaded to see if any "razor" or "synapsis" or basicly any software you installed for controllers, mouse keyboard, or even "software" youv possibly installed with out knowing. If you got the game from another sources, then it could have been compromised.
@@SgtDrayke A bit late but here is a little update. The problem was NFS Heat. If you go to the in game settings you can choose between graphic presets. @@jasonfoote6562 so start with .. 👍 good job with the details about your hardware setup. So 6 core your best trying the 4c config. and yes just make the file your self. In one of the video descriptions iv pasted the text lines. Can just change to 4. Doing the file won't mess anything up if it doesn't work. So don't be scared of that. If it doesn't work the game will simply hang/crash. You can ctrl alt del to get to taskmanager and end the nfsunbound exe to get back to desk top. Also just deleting the file will set the game back to normal. The file it's self doesn't do anything to the GPU. It's purely telling the game there is less CPU cores threads available to use. Doing so will lower the heat but can affect your FPS. Give you got a good GPU it shouldn't be much but you might see a small reduction in your GPU load. This is because lowering the games core count may affect how your CPU also handles the game data to the GPU. Intel's this isn't an issue. AMD I'm not to sure. You will still see some CPU cores at 100 and high temps but as a total package you should see a reduced total load and temp. Also worth noting that AMD CPUs are notorious for running hotter in anything compared to intel. Hydro cooler setup is the best/simplest option for reducing CPU thermals especially with an AMD.

Hello. so to answer.. short answer.. Who knows.. maybe depending on your system that i know nothing about. its down to the individual case situ. Long answer You havent stated your GPU so i can only presume its either a potato or a super banana of doom. CPU and GPU go hand in hand. if you said you had a 3080 with this cpu i wont just laugh but also slap my forehead whilst farting.. but it could work just not well. But other way if you said you were using a gtx560 from the 2000's on this cpu id say it could work but wont look great. more on this in 2. FYI the cpu you have is meh in the world of gaming now.. it will work but not for long with the games out now.. good for a home server or nas tho. but anyway . 1.. Yes and no. Depending on your hardware and issue.. a bit like. you are the computer hardware & have two hands. you need to hold all your game graphics and sound in one plate which your being told requires 90% performance the communication of graphics and sound in another plate require a minimum of 25/30% performance. but additionally internet traffic, controllers, other 3rd party applications in the background also need their slice of performance. call it another 15% on smaller plates maybe more than one. so providing you have the Minimum required hardware to play the game one would presume your cpu is 100% with in the req specs for the game., but you need to take 90% 25/30% and 15% out if that. so youre two hands then have to juggle all these moving plates of data and workload choosing which is priority ... This "bottlenecking" where the game is saying "hey i want 100% System (global) performance right now continuously from now until i say stop.. so i have it on tap" causes the system out side of the game to chock. but also become hot and thermal throttle/limit. consoles this isnt a problem as they are all in one OS. they are designed to "reach top performance**" and hold it for long periods of time. ** being that even this is a soft limit and not 100% due to thermal throttle. then recent times consoles including discord spotify etc. which eats away at your system performance and network connection. when you hear about consoles "burning out" and all they were doing was "chilling in lobby or casually roaming a map".. manufactures say its a lack of space/cooling. but if Heat was being played id put it down to the console being set to self destruct mode., PC there is a lot in the background.. So what this file does is it says "ok game we see you want 100% system (Global) performance. so this is what you have.. its only "say" 4 cores 4 thread. you think there is say 8 cores 8 threads but its a lie ignore it , here have these 4. all yours." this in turn allows the os and other apps to breath and manage data "optimised" with the remaining cores/threads. this in turn helps offload bottleneck with the gpu. so you will see in task manager, 4 cores and 4 threads to got 90%+ load will be primarily with the game. whilst other cores/threads will still show a reduced amount of workload outside of the game requirements . 2. YOURCASE.. your cpu is 4c 4t . decent mid range clock. supports ddr3 mem. so its not the cutting edge but its all youv got and can still work. just dont have high hopes. and this wont play the game max. (i dont know your gpu) Try the 4. otherwise try 2c2t (for me this wasnt working in testing) there is no harm in trying as its a text file that doesnt modify anything. if it doesnt work the game will crash. close it with task manager and then just edit the text file back. or create a backup template. I am aware that for some AMD cpu's this apparently doesnt work. why duno. should could be a miss type.. again duno. who knows..
@@xelseartheonlyone1267 yeh so this file will only really help if you have a mid range to high end cpu. so say 6 core plus that clocks 3ghz plus with high temps. the aim is to reduced the number of cores the game uses which inturn reduces the heat. so if you have a small core count or its like a general laptop it wont benifit you.. also the negative side to reducing cpu core count in the game, is it can negatively affect your graphics., data being processed between hardware. an 8c 3.2ghz with rtx2070 + runing on the 4core config should run well at 1440 60fps. on a 16c 5ghz like mine limiting to 4 cores would not only run very well. but also my system would stay rediculusly cool, and the game doesnt need more than 4 cores . the expected and actual result will be different for everyone.

Also if you have a lot of programs running in the background like browsers then you won't actually have 8gb available. O/s and chrome alone will use 1.7 to 2.4gb Ish . Run the game in a window half the resolution of your monitor. This will help reduce the games demand.
So the general rule. If you've got a modern (5 or 6 ISH years) base clock 3 GHz then you can easily run 4 cores. Or if you don't mind a little more CPU heat the 8 core. But 4 cores at 3.5 or 4 GHz is more than able. I run the i7 13700k (lower spec than you) and my settings are in the description. Which should* work. * Being that not every CPU or system is tested or can be guaranteed. For some it just doesn't work. Could be anything from vendor game version to system drivers.
@@johnlawrence6484 not a stupid question. No such thing as a stupid question. Youl never know the answer until you ask. So no you don't . The file should go in your games exe directory I only had it in both for testing . Note though that steam will delete this file if you do not encrypt it . So it's good to make a copy.

(Which you can resize with the mouse pulling the edges) Whilst in window mode you can alt tab out and open task manager. So closing and opening the game with and with out the file you be able to see if the file is working. You need to make sure you have the correct spelling/spaces in the file. Including the end " .. also if it is the steam version when saving in the save as options window select encode file. Run the game a minimum graphics and half resolution like 720. See how it plays and the temps. Then increase options. Keep distance draw and environment low.
Hi! Great video! I just installed the game to play again. For some reason, I just can't seem to find the Origin folder. Any help is appreciated. Thaanks!
@@berrymycawkner you could go 8. But to be honest I'd say use 4 and see how you go. Youv only got 8 performance cores within 12 being efficiency out of total 20. Your top clock on performance is 5.5/5.6. efficiency is range of 4.3. so 4 of either that you system uses youl be 4.3GHz to 5 GHz . Plus the fact that's modern architecture (PCI lanes) 4 is More than enough. But if you have head from for a little more heat and cooling 8 would be ott.
Well sounds like you need to do some research and compare them. One CPU is better then the other but only fractionally. But in the mobile CPU work it can be a big difference in price and performance. The GPUs are the same story. The one will bring better/newer features over the other but at a cost.

No. It doesn't work for everyone, some pc hardware just doesn't like it. If your game is standalone (not via steam) and you are using the same text lines as mine. No reason why it shouldn't. Just make sure youve copied it across correctly with out extra spaces or characters.

Turbo boost? For what for the intel CPU . I would NOT recommended this to anyone.. anyone who chooses physically downgrade their hardware through bios settings to play a game should just uninstall the game and not bother. GPU at 100% is normally especially if you have the graphics and resolution set high/max . Or with other applications in the background using resources. If your GPU isn't very strong or it's a laptop GPU then they will struggle with this game. Try dropping all graphics options to low. And drop the resolution down.
@@SgtDrayke i5-12400 - gtx 1660S It doesn't matter if the graphics and resolution are high or low, the GPU is always at 100%, I tried many games and this is the only one that gives me that problem.

The game shouldn't load the GPU to 100% if it is set to lowest resolution and Graphics settings even on that card. But it is possible. So.. yeh. Also in the Nvidia control panel if the card is set to max quality/performance instead of balanced then this could be a reason. If youv used geforce experience to "optimise" the game this could also be a cause and would explain why a game in the lowest settings would trigger the card to go to 100%. If you don't know or not comfortable with Nvidia control panel and profiles you shouldn't change anything. Geforce experience you can enable and undo settings. Besides that I can't really help any further.

First thing I do after getting a game is load it then close it, straight into NVC and make my own profile (profile is like geforce experience but for geeks)
Heat and FPS. All the extra trimmings like AA or msao, ssao etc turn off. Just load the game with default res, capped FPS to match your screen, medium graphics options with AA off and motion blur all that. The motion blur, particle extra texture filtering will all eat your GPU (reduce FPS and overwork your GPU = heat)
Then once youv found a stable setting go back in and just switch things on until you find your preferred setting.
If your on a laptop that's 1080hd you could go to 960 res as this isn't regarded as hd it's less demanding.

I'd just run it the same 4core setup. Would release 4 cores for other process. Game runs fine on 4. (Some times better then the more cores)
Run the game 1080 medium textures ,.

And if you do with no option run them with air heatsinks to set the temp limit to 88% or risk damage to chip/socket. A Corsair h115i elite hydro if you have the space would cool that easily down by 30c. But it wouldn't be silent.
how can they keep releasing games like this, such a simple fix that completely ruins the experience without
Well. Also people moan about games like cyberpunk and starfield having glitches but when it comes to EA NFS / FIFA or COD games with serious issues like glitchers , hackers , everyone is all silent.. so nothing gets done about it... go figure

Additionally go into nvidia control panel for your 3050 (which by the way is not a strong gaming gpu for anything above 1080) go to the option "configure surround, physX" make sure your option for PhysX is set the gpu not cpu,
Other questions id be asking is does your cpu run hot in the 70c when playing other games. if yes. then question the type of cooler your using, diretion, fan placement. when was the last time it was cleaned or even if its a 3 year old system does the compound between heatsink and cpu need to be cleaned/re-applied.

Yeh same as mine. Boom answered it your self well done.
@@SgtDrayke is there a way to lower power usage? I would assume not because the gpu is fairly demanding of power
well no not as such in either cases. if you are saying "power usage" as in ref to "amount of power being drawn/used by devices or total power consumption". you can lower your gpu power draw with software like msi afterburner (if you dont know how to use it, read read read. you can cause some serious damage) but that will in turn reduce your gpus performance. same with many things. like reducing your memory voltage would also reduce its working performance. same with the cpu. but if you are maximising the hardware to 90+ Load they will go to the maximum power draw to support demand..

If you choose ''Auto'' it will keep stacking up your cpu usage over time somehow. If you just use any other preset like ''High'' or ''Ultra'' it wont happen.

@@alexzockt3662 ok respectable. 8 core, base clock 3.4. So reducing terrain will reduce CPU load . So will post processing and AA. hello! i have a Ryzen 5 7600X 6 core 12 thread, 4.7GHz base and 5.3GHz turbo and a RX 7700XT, do i need to do anything differently or is just the same, i dont seem to have the file already which means id have to make one, im just a bit scared to mess around with files and stuff and screw something up, GPU is obvioulsy at 100% util at like 50/55* which is fine obvioulsy but yeah my CPU is at like 80/85* at about 70/75% util which is just messed up and still casue my game to crash. i know the vid is a year old now at this point and im a bit late sorry!
@@SgtDrayke thank you so much for your quick relpy, i tried it and unfortuantly im one of the unlucky ones were it didnt work which sucks, thanks for helping htough!
@jasonfoote6562 ok. So just to confirm youv copied the text in the video description between The 3 *** *** not including the 3 stars. No additional spaces. You have to keep the " on the end. @@SgtDrayke yes, i copied it exactly between the 3 stars without the 3 stars of course, right into the game folder where the actual game is and its files and yes im using the EA client as well not steam, and still the same thing it starts a little lower mabye 75* instead of 85* and only 50% util instead of 70% but as soon as i start going into the garage and driving around it jumps back up, i also thought since i only have 6 cores and 12 threads i changed the 4 values to 2 to see if that made a differnce and unfortuantly didnt either

Hi i have a few questions about this video.
1. Does it fix stuttering and fps?
2. I am using intel i5-4460 CPU 3.20GH should i change the config?
Hello. so to answer.. short answer.. Who knows.. maybe depending on your system that i know nothing about. its down to the individual case situ.
Long answer
You havent stated your GPU so i can only presume its either a potato or a super banana of doom.
1.. Yes and no. Depending on your hardware and issue.. a bit like. you are the computer hardware & have two hands.
you need to hold all your game graphics and sound in one plate which your being told requires 90% performance
the communication of graphics and sound in another plate require a minimum of 25/30% performance.
but additionally internet traffic, controllers, other 3rd party applications in the background also need their slice of performance. call it another 15% on smaller plates maybe more than one.
so providing you have the Minimum required hardware to play the game one would presume your cpu is 100% with in the req specs for the game., but you need to take 90% 25/30% and 15% out if that. so youre two hands then have to juggle all these moving plates of data and workload choosing which is priority ...
** being that even this is a soft limit and not 100% due to thermal throttle. then recent times consoles including discord spotify etc. which eats away at your system performance and network connection. when you hear about consoles "burning out" and all they were doing was "chilling in lobby or casually roaming a map".. manufactures say its a lack of space/cooling. but if Heat was being played id put it down to the console being set to self destruct mode.,
PC there is a lot in the background..
(i dont know your gpu)
Try the 4. otherwise try 2c2t (for me this wasnt working in testing) there is no harm in trying as its a text file that doesnt modify anything. if it doesnt work the game will crash. close it with task manager and then just edit the text file back. or create a backup template.
I am aware that for some AMD cpu's this apparently doesnt work. why duno. should could be a miss type.. again duno. who knows..
I can't find the user cfg file. I play it on steam.
There won't be a file, so make it, also make a backup of it as steam some times removes files during verification.
@@SgtDrayke Thank you, i already did. Sadly no big improvement. I will try some more things, if it doesn't work i will upgrade hardware. Thanks.

For some reason it didn't work for me
That is annoying. But unfortunately it doesn't for some.
Alguien sabe solucionar mi problema de la gpu al 100%
Translation ; "does anyone know how to solve my GPU problem 100%".
So short answer no. Because we don't know your problem.
Long answer. GPU at 100% is normally especially if you have the graphics and resolution set high/max . Or with other applications in the background using resources. If your GPU isn't very strong or it's a laptop GPU then they will struggle with this game.
Try dropping all graphics options to low. And drop the resolution down.
@@SgtDrayke i5-12400 - gtx 1660S
It doesn't matter if the graphics and resolution are high or low, the GPU is always at 100%, I tried many games and this is the only one that gives me that problem.
@@TRULUVBLDER so 1660s is not a strong card to today's gaming. NFS heat is known to be poorly optimised aswell.
