Tip: If you don‘t want your car to be dirty and scratched up before a race (or in general), go to any event marker, press LB/L1 and select the car you‘re currently driving. Your car will be fully repaired and cleaned.
Courier Six thanks for that! I really hate that by just driving the car around barely hitting anything at all, when I arrive to an event it looks like a tornado just went right through it.

Same here, I have yet to check it out but I always have trouble outrunning on The race track by main safe house, there's an old mall and safe house left of race track with a parking garage 3 floors said to be guarenteed evade
Tip: if you want to get to level 50 in about an hour just go around the oval track in a car around 320 and up and hit the speed trap every time, get to heat level 5 and you get 8,900 rp each time so in about an hour you can get about 2 million rep. When helicopter shows up pull left and hide and if cops do the same. Rinse and repeat

You don’t even need to hide, the helicopter leaves you alone if your car goes 170+. Whenever you want to end the farm, just jump out of the stadium using one of the ramps

@@BurdofSin Bro I would highly recommend heat. You can just go to the garage after you've earned some rep, it resets every time. Some people earn lots of rep and don't go to the garage then end up having most of it taken away

Good tips for NFS Heat:
- Go to settings, go to audio, find Music master volume and put it on 0%.
- Open spotify or youtube, and play decent music.
- Unplug your Mouse, it will only make you annoyed, because it has no single use in the game.
- When having cops beyond Heat 2, find your way to the nearest jump over water, about 100% guaranteed to lose cops by drowning them. Losing cops the old fasion way.
When you drive 340+ over the highway at heat 2 and that Ford Crown Victoria lookalike cop car will hit you in the back with at least Mach 6, you will scratch your head.
- Hitting cars will have no effect for 50% of the car you are hitting, Driving 300 km/h into a cop car, could leave 0 damage and leaves u with a broken car. Hitting a cop car on the sweet spots with 5 km/h will cut the cops health bar in half.
- Traffic in NFS heat is unpredictable, for some reason they drive 50 km/h until they are halfway on the intersection. then they just stop for no reason other than to block you at 300 km/h. Suicidal civilians.
Also a fun thing to do:
Buy a big car like BMW X6 or one of the other big cars, tune it completely offroad, and just ignore everything. You will easily win races against 40-50 points higher cars, just because you are not forced to take corners where other vehicles should, to stay on the tarmac. just drive 200+ km/h through trees and fences without being slowed down like at all.

The first few tips don’t really apply to me playing on console, but how the damage machine works - or doesn’t work - in this game is incredibly annoying. I’ll t-bone a cop car at 150+mph fully expecting to disable it instantly - nope!
The traffic one is obvious though as those cars might be detecting the cops and so they stop like they’re supposed to, but I don’t get why they do stop in the middle of the intersection? 😑
If youre having a hard time losing high heat levels even after jumping ramps, or even after completing a high heat race and you need a quick escape, head to the mall in Edgewood Valley. Go up into the second level of the parking garage on the south east side of the lot, jump the ramp and land on the roof of the mall. Even if a cop somehow manages to jump with you, theyll go brain dead and jump off the roof, then lose you immediately. Conveniently enough, theres a garage on the south west side of the lot where you can easily escape. If youre also needing more heat but dont feel like doing multiple races at a time, complete 1 race over rank 300 and then attract some cops and head to the same parking garage at the mall. Go up to the third and top part of the garage and do donuts while the cops are still chasing you(theyll have a hard time hitting you for some reason). Simple enough, once you reach heat lvl 5 you can simply head down into the second part of the garage and use the ramp to jump to the roof of the mall. Once youve escaped head off the roof and head to the nearest garage to save. Easy enough right?
THIS IS AWESOME! Reminds me of need for speed most wanted (the first one on PS2 with the BMW) where you hide in the 2nd level of tyhe bus stop... Worked 99% of the time!!! Awesome thanks!
U can just park on any of the roofs at the Old Oval Track right next to the starting garage...

This was introduced in the NFS MW 2012 and it works really good, as soon you turn off the engine the heat decrease quickly but in Heat it reduces the detection field of polices and it's more easy to you to sneak out of a chase

Nice video as always Hoki! Here is my “tip”: don’t try to finish the story missions as soon as you hit the recommended score. You will finish the story sooner than you like. Another important tip: Do NOT try to escape the cops off-road with your track build. Trust me, it’s not going to work.

-Keep always in mind that you can sell old unused parts. Just press LB/R1/E while chosing your exhaust for example and then you're in the inventory. There you can sell other unused parts.
-It's important to mention, the game will only give you ULTIMATE and U+ parts if your car has at least everything on Elite or E+ (besides the one that dont exist in Elite...)! To save some money you can do the Heat3/Heat5 races again after restarting your night so you'll get more parts to build new high-end vehicles.
-There are some cars with a purple-blueish symbol on the top left, this means the car has no visual custom. besides changing rims and colors.
-The cars that you unlock through collectibles have to be bought and are not free unlike the ones you unlock via stories.
-Selling cars and parts gives you around 66% of the value.
-There are a lot of races you can do twice before they start losing their value, if this happens just head over to the garage, enter and then a new day will start. So the money gets reset. Allthough this does not work with the oval race on the racetrack. For this you have to exit completely to the main menu and go into the game.

-Don’t waste your time getting the FXX K for performance. It’s dogshit.
F40 is better in every way.
It can microdrift better, holds better speeds within corners, and has better high end acceleration.
-Tip 2: Drifting is still better than Griping, in most scenarios. High speed/ mid speed turns are better to drift.
-Tip 3: Porsche 911 RSR is still best car in the game. It was OP in 2015, OP in Payback alongside the Beetle and Regera, and it’s OP in here too.

My tip would be to not use tools such as the lastly mentioned map (unless you HAVE to), as when I’ve done it in other games, it kinda takes the dignity out of playing, and it ultimately results in me feeling disenchanted and scrapping the game early on, as it just feels pointless when I have the solution figured out for me. Just my two cents tho :)

The safehouses that have locks on them... arent actually locked... but if you visit them once, they will unlock for you to fast travel to. I kept driving around waiting for them to eventually unlock not realizing i could do it myself... i hated driving from the main house all the way to corner of map for events when i coulda unlocked the house nearby n fast traveled.

Don't make fast cars *only*. With how easily you can get money in this game, and with all the swap options available, you can truly explore options for interesting and cool builds. As an added bonus, it's good to have weaker cars for when you want to play with friends that just got the game. My favorite car is still at 198 because of that.

There is a really fast way you can get to Time Trials directly from within your garage. Press Tab (on PC), go to Social, tab across to Time Trials, select the one you want and then hit enter. You'll exit the garage automatically and go straight into the Time Trial, makes this a lot faster. You can also see all the Time Trials directly from that Social menu, so it's a good way to see where you are placed in all of them.

If you're not confident in your ability to escape cops at night there is a circuit race you unlock called Flacker (if im not wrong) its down by the ports and goes across a jump that guarantees cop takedowns. Its also very close to the safehouse and not that far away from a gas station!

(PC) If you want your car to grip a hella lot, put on Track tires + differential + track suspensions and put downforce all the way to the right and steering sensitivity 2 steps to the right from the middle. Live tuning is the NUM LOCK button.
(UNIVERSAL) Use more HP and repair kit for auxiliary for your pursuit and night race car. Having more health is better than more DPS, since you wont just slow down for the cops to come infront of you and hit them, plus high heat cops are heavy so it wont work. Having more DPS wont help also, since the cops will be in your TAIL and not in front of you meaning they will ram you = no damage for them, and your HP goes down. Repair kits are helpful since if youre towards the western areas where it hilly and stuff there wont be any gas stations and you can use your repair kit.

You can skip the cutscenes before every race (the ones before countdown starts) by pressing X twice. I realized this like halfway through the game... In the missions where you need to follow the NPC, you can simply drive past them and they will send you the location where you need to go. Pretty handy when you restart a mission and don't want to waste time.

HokiHoshi hey you can cheat the system with the oval race track. Got to night then switch back to day. It will reset it
If you managed to escape the cops and are trying to get to ur destination safe, avoid high speed cams as they alert the cops of your location
Going a slightly off road build can also open up extra jump spots such as the beach! Easier escape from cops!
If they push you into forest you’ll still be able to escape!
You can max out your heat level (and rep multiplier) without the cops bothering you by repeatedly running thru the speed trap inside the circle track. Eventually a cop will spawn inside the track but typically not before you reach lvl 5. This is especially useful early game when it's hard to escape high heat at lower levels.
For me it spawns at heat lvl 2
For those players that are lower levels and want to get up to rep 50 really quickly, go to fort Callahan, you will find a jump in the prison that crosses the railroad tracks with a river below, make sure to hit 2 stars every time and hit the rocks before the water as it will reset you and give you the rep, with every jump you take your heat goes up giving you even more rep, it’s a perfect spot where cops will not bother you, the one thing is it doesn’t show up on the map for lower levels

Also, fun fact about the cops: Daytime police have different liveries and a completely separate voicecast from the nighttime cops! Daytime cops communicate like we're used to with older NFS games, so you can totally recreate some of those Most Wanted chases! Daytime police also use killswitches, nighttime doesn't do that but has rhino's instead.
The Killswitch part is false.
I never really had a serious chase by the day cops.. only night and I've been Killswitched more than a few times. You know the Killswitch is coming when the police cars pull up your are left, right and front and match your speed. Mostly happens if your driving straight so if you turn alot it won't really happen to you.

@@lilmario0 strange, ive never encountered a Killswitch at night, only during the day.
i have had a couple killswitches at night, but not many. Also, definitely possible to outrun the cops down a long straight road. I do it all the time.
A small tip for console users when your trying to drift in a long turn in a race or just want more control during a drift hold your accelerate button half way and it gives u a lot more control on the drift hope this helps out
Or just keep tapping the accelerator all the way through the turn to keep drifting sideways.
What your gamer tag I need help
If you really want to learn how to drift you need to learn when to tap, hold and release throttle control.
Why does the game try to teach drifting using the accelerator? I’ve always learned to drift from so many other games by simply using the handbrake and it still works great in this game. I don’t know what this UA-camr was talking about by saying drifting is terrible during races because I can slide around corners and still overtake a racer in front of me.
@@Dark_Mishra It told me to use the brake, and I spent an hour trying and failing to initiate a drift.
Tip: at night, if you want to increase your heat faster, start a race level 350 and above, they should give you heat lvl3 after completing the race. If you're looking to have heat lvl5 without getting in a cop chase, complete one more lvl 350+ and do some speed traps or jumps, that should get you to heat lvl5.
if you want to sell your engine don’t do it!! first sell or take off any parts you invested as if you sell it with the parts you don’t get extra cash and you loose them, take of the parts and then sell
Chris actually that doesn’t happen. I’ve tried, you sell the engine, it only sells the engine. The parts get returned back to your inventory! Crankshaft in the crankshaft inventory, etc.
On another note, if you’re planning to sell a car, make sure you sell any engine swap. Because you won’t be able to sell that engine until you get another car that has that engine available for swapping.

Calm Energy worth it! As all the parts are intechangeable between cars. The only thing that may not be interchangeable are the engine swaps (diff cars have diff engine swap options. An engine available in one car may not be available in another)
You don’t lose the engine it goes to your inventory
Tip 1: Upgrade 1 car with the highest possible upgrades. Then swap back to it's default upgrades, now you can use those parts on ANY car you purchase.
Tip 2: Just keep driving around in circles at the racetrack at night through the speedzone. at heat 5, you get 9k+ rep per pass. (needs 170 mph to 3 star it for full rep gain) Eventually the game glitches and every cop you go pass, wont start another chase until the search ends.
Tip 3: Use your favorite music app for optimal driving soundtracks. Reduce game music audio except car sound effects.
I do tip 1 all the time, it actually saves a lot of cash

@@bullycamp6939 You don't add it to the game if that's what you mean, you just keep the app on the background, running, listening to the playlist.
If your wanting to obtain all of the collectables. One easy way I found in my play through was under options, progression and collections. You can click on each district and view what's been collected but it also allows you to set route for the collectable (X for PS4) and view on the map where it's at (Square). Haven't seen anyone mention this yet. Hope it helps.
Quick navigation tips:
While driving, for instance at a high heat level in a Chase, you can press "Right, Right, Right, Right" to add a safe house waypoint on your minimap.
Or press "Right, Right, Down, Right" to set a waypoint to the nearest gas station.
Sad thing is it does not autopopulate if you are long passed the waypoint.

DO NOT USE DRAG TIRES ON GRIP BUILDS. even though they don't seem to negatively affect road and race stats, the description is not lying. They will make your car understeer like crazy as if you're playing gran turismo. But I also noticed that they sometimes allow your car to pop wheelies during nitro
This is going to sound crazy but I put Drag tires on my Rx7 drift build and it works pretty fine and I get the speed boost

I have the old porche Carrera with the v6 engine swap and all elite parts with the elite drag tires. The car will do a wheelie by itself without nos, with nos it will do a wheelie until I run out, only problem is I'm doing about 170 mph by the time it ends

Whenever my friend is in a cop chase I usually look at my map and guide him away from any nearby cops and he loses them quickly lol

One of the best videos I’ve watched with clear explanation of the points you brought up. Also can confirm that on heat five I escaped the cops (that were right in front of me) with the car turned off. Obviously its better if you have a disrupter equipped but they don’t seem to spot you as easily. Downside is, if they do spot you... well good luck. It takes longer to take off having to wait for the car to turn on.

Beginner tip: disable the music in the options

The soundtrack is so amazing. Daytime is happy uplifting music and nightime is all hardcore underground music. The garage music is super chill too when upgrading or customizing your cars.
I used to hate the cops on here until seeing one of your videos about the port. It works awesome. I get about 100 to 200k rep per night. I go out and do races until I hit heat lvl 3, then get in a cop chase and drive around the port and hitting them until I reach level 5, then I jump on one of the shipping containers. It works well cause there is a gas station right down the street if needed, and once you're all clear there is a safe house right across the street. Takes me a bout a half hour each night.

Do the high heat missions, complete one race and should get you to heat 3 then do the heat 3 race. After that do a few more races and complete the heat 5 race! The lowest I've gotten per night is around 860k and the most I've made was 1.2 mil with this method
There's an awesome glich and alternative to the Raceway Ramp, that's very easy to use:
At Grenada Wetlands, there are those two long bridges.
Right at the top of the right bridge is a ramp: use it and jumper between those bridges.
You'll spawn right back to the ramp and you can jump again and grind it.
Up to 6000 excl. Bonus each time you conplete the 3 Stars...
Dude thank you for your time and effort. I've been playing need for speed heat and I'm on rep level 17 and the game has been driving me nuts.
If you want to do heat 3/5 races but you dont have your heat high enough , dont do races near the heat race.
The cops will circle that area onces you lost them and that makes it hard to join the heat race.
A good way to earn some bank/rep is online with a friend or solo.
With a friend just do any kind of race with high bank/rep and switch who wins , online races give 40% extra.
Also playing with buddies can help you get a ton of ultimate parts, I got 6 one time, I did my 2 and then his 2 heat races and then because my brother was too chicken to stay out so we did another 2 when he decided to come out at night again while I was still there

Tip:
If your Heat Level is still at 0 (at night):
-You can fast travel, yes, even at night.
-Obey the law near cops and you won’t start a chase (useful for getting to races without getting chased by the cops).
If your heat level is not at 0, don’t bother obeying the law. Just drive fast.
-On Heat Level 1, right after you start a cop chase, you can bribe them for $10k and they will end the chase, until after you cause some more trouble. Saves time if all you’re trying to do is get to an event, for example.
we know, the game says you cant fast travel if you have heat level, not if you are in night.
Also, if you bribe them it reduces your heat to 0 and you are able to quick travel again

(that I found works for myself):
Just keep doing laps in the speedway
AFTER
doing at least one 40,000R race
Make sure you are constantly 3-staring the speed camera in the pit lane with every pass.
If cops come just keep your cool. You'll escape on nearly every lap until heat 5.
The rhinos can't navigate the banked track and naturally miss you so just keep your cool with your laps.
You can and will lose them just doing laps or simply doing a jump up out of the race track.
Then head to your high heat races or head to garage to collect your uber rep points 😎

When you finish the game and get the BMW M3 GTR, the engine swap is completely optional since its original engine can go to 1,086 horsepower with its grinding straight cut gear transmission.
The most expensive 4.4 liter V8 is quick but its not fast. The engine sound is not so much plus it makes a wierd low sound clutch grind thats annoying. The car understeers at high speeds which makes it fall behind when trying to brake plus not sure if its the car or engine itself but I believe it makes the car turn left on its own when you brake hard.
I tried the 2nd most expensive engine swap which is the 4.5 liter V8 and its actually managing you synchronize with the car more. Its a lot faster than the 4.4 liter V8, handles a lot better at high speed, not sure of braking yet, but slower at 0-60. It has the similarities of the light engine sound, has the aggressive exhaust flame explosions, and the rpms reach to 9,000 just like the original M3 engine from most wanted/carbon.
I am doing whatever I can to see which engine is far the best for the M3 GTR. Tried its original V8 that came with and its about decent, can also be faster than the 4.4 liter V8 too, but lags a bit on acceleration torque plus it understeers at high speeds who want a original engine fast M3 GTR

Tip: if you want to get the collectibles go into the progression tab in menu and into collections. Select your area and it allows you to set waypoints to every collectible in the game. No map or guess work needed. (Doesn't work with activities)

How do you sell cars? Also if you play with friends online you can get more than 2 Ult/Ult+ parts if you all have different high heat races, and only one person has to meet the requirements for the race and invite everyone else

Sadly not, because as soon as you enter a Heat3 or Heat5 event it disappears from your map. If you quit or finish it doesnt matter you arent able to do it again. I tested it..
@@CHEF2077 Hi, i just want to add that the value of the racetrack-race (and every other race) now actually resets after getting Out of the garage. I think they fixed that with an update.
I always do 3 races (in the racetrack) in a row, the first gives 50k+, the second 30k+ and the third 25k+ and after that i fast travel to a garage, leave it immediately and fast travel to the tuning shop and then Go Back to the racetrack-race, rinse and repeat. With a fast car, one race will take around 2mins, so the 3 races will take around 7+ min, loadingscreens included, giving you 100k+, i think thats pretty good and fast

If you're trying to use gas to drift, make sure you are turning when tapping the gas. It seems obvious but sometimes without thinking you'll tap the gas moments before trying to turn or turn, let off tap the gas, then turn some more, and it won't quite initiate the drift unless the turning and gas tapping is done simultaneously.
I found that making a drift build was a little weird when I first started and learned that road meant grip instead of your car drifting better on road. It explained why my car would struggle to slide around.
for a drift build i use the RX-7 with pro drift suspension, elite drag tires, and super showcase differential, works insanely well
My tip, when starting out don't get past level 3 heat, you won't have enough straight line speed and the cops will just wreck your car

For easy rep at low performance levels (below 300), you can use jumps over water to escape cops since you wont have the top end to outrun Heat 3, 4 and 5 cops. Jumps over water makes the cops either drown or slam on the brakes, leaving you alone. And the helicopters, just pretend they dont exist. The moment you lose the last cop car chasing you the helicopter dips shortly after.
If you want to level up your heat level fast, for high heat races/ultimate parts. you can do them by doing the speed run or ramp jumps challenges. The higher the speed or jump the better the heat points you get
You’ll have to first get some heat points or have a heat level 1 before doing these. They won’t give you points if you are at heat level 0
I was heat level 5 and the high heat race disappeared. how do i do them, or was it just a glitch?
WW3Revelation6 and13 I ran into that. I think if you lose to a heat race, or win, or quit the race. It’s not longer available till you start another night. So when you complete those heat races, you’ll have to end your night. And do the whole process again
You can go back and forth with those challenges and still earn the same prizes
WW3Revelation6 and13 as I said, you can do this method which I think is fast. There’s 2 challenges in downtown palm city that is a speed trap and a jump ramp.
1 race gives you heat3. Play the races that give rep not rep dust.

If you keep losing a race, try unplugging and plugin back in.
there’s a big train track that’s featured in an offroad race in the northwest part of the map.
That area is such a good getaway if you just lost the police and need to get across the map with a low hp car.
the train tracks adhere to ALL tire types. I’ve sped along on drift tires at 220 mph to a safehouse by the launch bay with almost no hp and no repairs left. driving via road would’ve for sure gotten me an L.

Wow thank you for this video! I didn't know how to turn off the car after being chased by cops to hide from cops and actually thought you can't turn it off.. Got the game a few days ago on sale in the store for new content on my streams and I knew on previous NFS that you can turn your engine off, just like in 2015. Idk how helpful this is. But when I'm playing with a friend if one of us escapes the cops before the other, we get to a safe spot, then open the map and help give directions to a good place to escape and/or give directions to a safe house and help avoid cops.
yeah this is great team work, me and my friends do this all the time. I sometimes even pull out my big boi xm6 to help him get rid of the cops.

I had very very low expectations before buying this game but wow! I freaking love it, so much fun. One I guess thing I learnt quickly about the cops is you can be going pretty quick then when they are next to you or in front of you quickly turn into a 90 degree street then turn again then use the nitros and gtfo if there.
Tip: The mission 'Party Crashers' is easy to complete by heading straight ahead to the bridge / docks and drive the car in the water. It will respawn and the cops will be 'confused', while you drive away easy
Tip:for a huge boost in the story mode try getting the chervolet chorvete grand sport because it's overpowered and will boost you a lot

At Port Murphy go to the three ramps jump onto the middle one shut your car off when there is no cops on thank me later. Works on any heat level

I started playing Heat a few days ago, and i Got Heat level five for the first time after getting over Heat level 2 and escaped, because of a canal you can jump over some city, 3rd or 4th Night, i was amazed how well jumps helped
if you can’t lose the cops and they’re right on your tail, run into the water and they’ll completely disappear. you can only do it twice in a row tho, anymore than that and it’ll consider it a bust.
also, if you happen to come across a gas station and can get to it while cops are chasing you or you’re in a race without crashing, slowing down, or missing a checkpoint, then hit it if you’re running out of nitrous cause it’ll refill it completely along with the repairs to your damage.
Heat is the most I played an NFS game since either Most Wanted 2012 or Hot Pursuit 2010

I used the drift zone you recommended for grinding a bit of cash. I needed cash plus a few rep to get the engine I wanted to swap.
One thing I realised unfortunately rather quickly was that if my car is set up to 3 star that drift zone, it's no good for escaping police at night, and if I have a car that can escape police, I struggle to get more than a 2 star. Which obviously takes much longer.
I managed in the end. I was using the Silvia with on road Sus, drift tyres and a showcase diff as standard but I had to swap out the tyres and diff to allow me to escape police. I found out the hard way on the first night when I was busted and lost 130k rep 😭
Use the m3 at the end swap the engine( the one with more potential Hp) and upgrade it with elite+ parts, and that an easy 400+ early on
I run aerion for 57k rep when I start my night and it ends with 3 heat every single time. I then do heat 3 followed by another race with the highest RP around to get heat 5 and run the heat 5 race. Ending the night after I get 2 new parts and 1 mil in rep.
tip: if ur trying to find every collectible go to the collectible sections in settings and it will show u the location of every collectible on the map one by one and u can make it a waypoint by pressing square/x

One tip for night racing. Have a friend on heat level 3, do the race with him get the parts and then you need to get heat level 3 as well so you and him can do the race again which means double parts, works the same for heat level 5. There you go now you can have 2 parts in one night, hope I helped with this tip :)

Be sure to pay attention to what the stock engine is capable of before you swap it, especially in heavier vehicles. I’ve noticed that in games like this and Payback, heavy cars have big power, like trucks, SUVs, Super Saloons, and muscle cars (with a few exceptions). So If shoving as much power into something as you can is your thing, this would probably help. The same can be said in certain cars in other games too, like FH4 with the MC12 Corsa, most modern Lamborghini cars, and Apollo I.E.
I’d also like to see what vehicles in Heat can have the Forged 5 liter V8, along with other Forged engines.
Josh Parrish the RX7 can have a forged 13B.

I think I'm still going to drive around for 30 minutes in my 2014 viper trying to evade cops because that's how I started it. AND THAT'S HOW I'M GONNA FINISH IT.
Here is a tip if you bought the deluxe edition or the deluxe up grade use the NfS custom cars like the BMW i8,the Mercedes and the Corvette to save money for the car or cars you want.
The corvette is insane once you put a bit of cash into it.

Recently got back into racing games and my oh my I'm enjoying this one. Beat need for speed hot pursuit remastered in about a week or so and I wanna take my time with this one. It looks great and the customization is awesome.
