Thank you, mister. I've had some problems with my Ryzen 5 3600, the game usually spikes to 70-90% of usage everytime and i had some fps drops. Now barely got up to 50% even on high settings. Thank you so much, man! Can confirm this still works!
For the Steam version you have to create these files. I did it and works fine! (i7 6700k) Copy this: Thread.ProcessorCount 4 Thread.MaxProcessorCount 4 Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0 Thread.JobThreadPriority 0 GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 4"
MAN WHAT, i recently bought new cpu i7 12700 and tried this game again bcs it is so good , and it was weird that my cpu was struggling to it, constant 100 usage and literally 90 celsius TEMPS and even struggling on medium settings, so i was searching for help, and u man, one single thing to type as user.cfg where i put cores 12 and threads 20, instant max 70 Cpu usage, max 70 celsius and literally no problem on everything EVERYTHING on ultra, thank you so much man. love u
It worked! I had a hard time creating the cfg file, for some reason was saving only as text, for the ones that are having issues like me (STEAM) once you saving the file make sure that the encoding is ANSI, save it and will work!
You sir, are a hero, I thought this game uses so much cpu because of my game setting, turn out its the game itself, I was wondering if my i5 10th wasn't enough for this, thank you so so much, it cut from 90-ish to just 40-ish, you're a lifesaver.
I have an older but still decent system. i7-6700k and GTX 1080, built it in 2016. Instead of being constantly flatout at 100% CPU and most of the time 80% on the GPU the GPU now sits at 45 to 50% and the CPU at 60%. The Framerate has gone up from 35 - 50 fps to 75 - 80 at Ultra settings. Massive Improvement Thank you very Much!
Thanks bro it worked, here in India the room temperature is 35 C+ so my game was running at 101degrees but after your fix it came down to 90-95 and cpu usage reduced from 70-90% to 20-40% And my nfs dudnt had the file so I created it
Nice. Good to hear. Here in London it's been hitting 38/39 in places. 😂👌👍 All good though. Like I say to many it it helped in any way small or big then it's a win.
Running a 5600 and 2060. Cpu was running 70-100% at 80-85c and I stopped playing because I didn't want to damage my cpu overtime. I play MWII, warthunder, Ace Combat, and other AAA games at max settings with the gpu at 100% and cpu at 40-50% running around 69-75c. This brought my cpu usage down to 40-60% running at a solid 69-72c at ultra settings. If you can't make this file type like myself, there is a steam forum which links a download to a script which makes it for you, it is open source so you can check the code before you download. Thanks for the help!
It worked for me also! I had to create the file and then add it to both the folders specified. It's weird because all my fans revved up and I was hitting 70-80 temps and even my UPS was beeping as if something was wrong. Had no idea what was going on. What a strange thing to happen and for the devs not to patch it! Weird.
EA. Create a game on pc with 99% focus for consoles using a single template for all platforms (being use every resource at max) then last minute do a console to pc port with everything broken.
Thanks alot mate, My CPU was topping out to around 40-60% usage and bouncing between 78-80c which isn't too hot tbh but I wasn't too comfortable with it. Followed the vid and CPU mostly stays at about 25% usage and around 68-70c in temps. Very helpful
@@itsFatato ah pass. I don't know enough about and products / cpus to say if it is a bug. Although I can say ea with some titles have got lazy making games porting them to a "standard" for console and not caring about pc . Pc versions require a lot of extra content/data files to make compatible with the vast configurations out there. It appears as if "Heat" has a generic setting out of the box to just use the cup to max regardless of core count etc. Which is how many of the console games are set. Consoles don't have lots of other things going on in the background behind the scenes unlike pc. Why also the graphics options have become so shocking. We don't care about pc users anymore and of.
Thsnk you so much dude,it works like helll....i was wondering why sometimes i played the game normally and sometimes it just 100% everything ,thank you once again
You the best my guy. How come Ea keeps shitting out trash that their playerbase have to repair after. Heat used like 95% of my cpu and now its like 40% just because of 4 lines.
can you imagine that i've been playing this game for 2 days with my i7 12700 working at full power 100% usage and always 85+ degree and it always crached i lost hope , and now i randomly searched about the problem and I find your video, can you beliver that i'm literally gonna restart the game all over to play it with no crashes THANK YOU MAN , literally , i have no idea how did you come up with this , but it worked and GUYS for those who didn't have the file like me , just creat a text at the desktop save it as .cfg on the game location and it will work
No problem Bud, gald it worked. Seen my latest vid of this game no the 4080.. ? ua-cam.com/video/7euEn7QVUd4/v-deo.html Also got NFS payback & NFS 2015 vids on the 4080 worth a watch 👍👍👍
Was shocked when my game barely ran at 50fps (im fairly new to pc gaming so i expected my 2.5k to get a lot more performance) and was even more shocked seeing how much of my cpu was being eaten up. Now its running at ~70fps and is buttery smooth. youre a real one m’dude, bless your heart
NFS Payback has the same problem and adding the user.cfg file worked for me. Old i7 2600k before the file working at 80% and very hot now max use is 45% and between 40/50º. I would suggest that people that have this NFS Heat and NFS Payback on STEAM to DISABLE STEAM OVERLAY during gameplay in conjoint of adding the usercfg file. Thank you man.
My guy, you are a fucking hero! thanks a lot, I thought my cpu was gonna burst into flames everytime I started this damn game. Went a rocket to a silent gun. Thanks man, a lot!
Yeh it will on a a rtx3060 , even more so if its laptop . Some in game options are so limited, its best to view and edit your profile options, "Profileoptions_profile" this document is located in "my documents/need for speed Heat / Settings = PROFILEOPTIONS_profile. right click this document to submenu and "open with" = "note pad" to a novice it will look odd, do not change anything in this document other then the numbers, keep in mind the space before and no space after. so example "GstRender.VSyncEnabled 1" so "GstRender.VSyncEnabled_1" the underscore is representing a space., numbers equal : 0 Off, 1 on, Or Low 2 Low/medium 3 medium 4 medium/high 5 high/max Do not think 2 is your answer to everything.. Even on my rtx4080 super I only have one or two at 4 or 5. the rest is 3, In your case I cant say what is best. I would gues, rtx3060 at 1080 you would want your avg to be 2, if you find your gpu is happier then raise the base options, like textures, shadows light quality, effects. AmbientOcclusion 4 < set to 2 AnisotropicFilter 4 < set to 2 AntiAliasingPost 2 < set to 2 EffectsQuality 3 < 2 LightingQuality 3 < 2 MeshQuality 3
Follow exactly and it works great. Some people struggling with this in comments and it makes me think, How difficult would it be for EA to just fix this? Instead they do everything else to deny, deflect, on and on.. instead of fixing their mistake. The user of a game should never be expected to have to fix it themselves. Thank you for fixing EA's game for them as they don't appear to be capable of doing it themselves. True Giga Chad
His reasoning as to why this happens is even spot on when the game is just not optimized well for different configurations. The console CPU's were pretty weak so they needed to get the most out of them to run properly.
You Sir are an absolute legend! I didn’t have stuttering but had low fps on my 4 core i7 2600k @ 4.3 ghz - Using a 1080ti. I made a cfg file as didn’t have any copied from yours and now it’s buttery smooth I am using a 3840x1200 43 inch super ultra wide. I can’t thank you enough 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 I love this game looks amazing
Thats great news. 👌 Glad its worked for you as well. Simply give the video a like and share it to your community if anyone is having the same/similar issue. I am still on the fence about the game its self. 😂🤔 Maybe I should just play it more.
add it your self by creating the file. So some people have said that they add it to steam, and randomly it gets removed, i can only think this happens if there is an update, unless steam askes for the game files to be verified. steam shouldnt have an issue with it or remove it.
I played it a handful of times, and then on the 5th time in an intense race where I need to take out the detectives Corvette. My PC shut down, and couldn't start it again. Turned out it burnt out the motherboard on my MSI Trident 3. Had to get a new pc now, and I'm afraid to play this game again. I know there are loads of other forums where other gamers have been susceptible to EA's negligence. This should be a class action lawsuit for their lack of attention to optimizing. I need a higher than normal pc for my video and animation needs as a brand consultant, I had to drop another $3,500, and I don't have my other 5 year old pc. What is wrong with EA? I agree, EA should just have this stuff lowered like every other game developers. P.S. The game does sound really great on your stream!
yeh so.. There's no law, be it in the uk that says any publishers/studio has to make an optimised game. as long as it runs stable on 5 or 10 different variations of systems and can be complete without any bugs stopping the player from doing so .. then it passes qc. people (gamers) need to vote with there wallets and reviews. Cyberpunk a clear example of it being done.. unfortunately I personally feel that what happened to Cyberpunk was extreme and unfair.. but in the "gaming revolution" it was going to happen at some point to a game.. just so happened to be Cp77. most ( a good 40%) of players complaining about Cp77 was just trying to get there money back after either finishing the story or finding its not there type of game,. another say 17% couldn't simply run the game and the rest were just following the hype train. (being a sheep following the herd) you look at total sales now its obvious most of those people have purchased the game again. back to nfs .. if people actually stood up to ea and forced a return refund they would have to do something, and change there ways,. but for EA a good 70+% of there sales are console. that's what there games are made for. all need for speed games since most wanted. possibly carbon have been made for console, then ported from console back to pc (version) were as other studios make a console version, and a pc version. another thing to note most (im 37 so going back to the early 2000's) pc players know or learn how to optimise games, that's the pc way, overclock or tweak, learn to mod and get the most out of everything that's why building a pc is so superior because you know how to fix or tweak it. console its buy console, buy game, load game, play.. as more console players move to "pre made" computers that are built to be like console to compete in the market.. the users come across os issues or driver issues.. or optimisation problems with hardware. OS updates can screw a lot. i recently had corsair do an update that required a full deep clean (beyond safe mode) of the Icue client and reinstall. not many people will know how to do that. so yeh .. ea is lazy and only sees $$$. but also people need to remember PC gaming is more than just sit and load a game. lastly ,,. you say 3,500 .. my gaming rig is north of that not bragging, its because i wanted it to be , if your not a hardcore pc/gamer then 1300 will do. . my xeon workstation is near that, for video & animation i use a xeon workstations. HP G4z5 are good and cheep second hand, or build your own, ebay second hand parts. my xeon is around 2019/2020 parts, are like half the value now. Now heat is old., I did recently get unbound for £6 but still havnt played it. i think TDUSC is and will be amazingly better than nfs titles in terms of arcade street racing.. if you want sim go forza horizon.
Ryzen 1800x x370 taichi updated 7.1 bios, 32 gigs ddr 4 3200, Rx7600 8gig. GPU utilization typicall around 100% CPU utilization 45-55%. My game runs fine when it's me by my self.. The second I get into a race, whether it is a drifting challenge or other smaller races.. my game lags and freezes. At night when I race, the entire game freezes when police chasing starts, the night time conditions somehow make the game worse than racing in the day. I've updated my GPU drivers, added the user config, and have reduced my graphics down to lowest settings.. That did seem to help some but doesn't take care of the problem. I am considering upgrading my CPU to the 5600 or 5700 to squeeze extra life from the beast. It seems like more than anything this is a badly optimized game.
@@jagermeister6x9 it is a very badly optimised game. And your system on paper is good, it would run cp77 , FH5 or FM2023 well . Just this game. Any you pointed out one of the main reasons when playing at night and you get a police chase . This is to do with extra graphical effects so reflections partials light rays etc. these all require a lot of GPU. You can go into the games config file and manually set these. There is some that are not in the game it's self.
Awesome! Now my i7-12700k rarely spikes to 70c on ultra. Limiting the framerate also helped a ton (80fps seems to be the sweet spot). Hopefully unbound is more optimised.
All I did was go into power management and I turned boost processor power from aggressive to disabled temps went from 90c to 55c without any noticeable performance drops I also turned processor power from 100% to 90% 👍
Hey. That's great for you bud glad you found your own solution. Everyone has there own. But there is a big issue with this in my world. Everytime you want to do somthing else other then play the game you need to keep going to that option to undo the change. There's no point leaving it on as youl be leaving performance off the table. Like people saying go into bios and change X y z. I don't want to be restarting my machine every time i want to do something different. That's why I prefer individual top-level solutions to the single program, that doesn't affect the working environment or hardware directly. 👌🫡
@SgtDrayke you can create a custom power plan specifically for the game that doesn't require any changes in the bios or restarting of the system, this method works but I heard some people saying when you update the steam app it removes the files. The method I mentioned works for alot of games especially emulators and you don't lose much performance as long as your base clock speed is relatively good again thanks for the info I'll be attempting this on my desktop and comparing the both 👍
It's weird how my ryzen 5 2600 didn't have this problem but I just recently picked up a 7 5800x and the usage was bouncing off 100% while temps say around 90.. I'll be trying this out and will edit if it fixed issue
What fixed my issue was a castle 360 AIO cooler. My hyper 212 couldn't keep up with the heat! Now game plays smooth around 75 degrees. Higher than I want still but it's payable now. In other games I see a HUGE difference in temps too. Not what I wanted to spend my money on but was worth it I guess now that I can play games again
Sorry for the late reply bud. The fix should help reduce temps as your CPU won't be at 90+% . In my opinion CPU like the 7 5800 or the Intel 6c12t I'm using if you use it alot at 90+% should always only have hydro loop of some kind. There is other things you can do to reduce CPU usage. Tobe fair tho if your running a 8c16t CPU it shouldn't even be using half the cores at over 50%. Well worth trying the fix on a 4 core template. 👍 Even look at going into task manager and selecting the games.exe and core usage disabling cores for that process.
This game is such a mess on Windows 11 it simply doesn't want to be launched in any normal manner and when it did launch it also have terrible CPU spikes, and everything took forever to load compared to even PS4 version. Needed a cheat app or troubleshooter to launch it and it's stubborn as hell. Well at least it won't be so bad performance wise anymore hopefully with this fix.
@@barebarekun161 yeh the loading is arse. You need to have the game on SSD . The reason for the CPU spikes is because it's loading all the assets. Game was made for consoles and when it was ported to pc they never changed the way it holds the hardware state. Consoles are designed to go to 100% ready state Apon loading a game up. Pc's don't like or work like that.
@@SgtDrayke My gaming laptop do have SSD and it's terrible regardless took forever to launch but it just doesn't want to launch most of the time, a few seconds or a few minutes of black screen only to see it crashed back to desktop really killed all fun of ever enjoying it on PC. Sad that I'm stuck with playing it on PS5 and it stuck on PS4 code with 30 fps limit. The PC version I turned it all the way up to Ultra at 1440p 60 fps and the game look great but after about 10 minutes the game randomly crash. Shame as I wanted to play this game in all of it glory. One of the biggest reasons why I prefer console most of the time, the game just works there, and it stings when stuff like this happens to a game that I actually cared.
@@SgtDrayke And it's not just some entry level gaming laptop. It's Asus ROG STRIX SCAR 17 SE, which makes the issue of game not running at all or ran for a few minutes then crashed much more disappointing. I'm playing PS4 version on PS5 with zero crash.
@@barebarekun161 didnt say the laptop was, until now youve not stated that it was or what type. Lets simplify the issue., so stop comparing the laptop or even "pc" to consoles. they are two separate categories. consoles are soley built for playing games and entertainment, they use a set of hardware that never changes and firmware software that has to be regulated, tested and approved for use inline with game publishers. games are made for the consoles to meet a set requirement be it optimised to the hardware or just run to the hardware's maximum ability. Laptops "PC" especially laptops do not work to this logic, they are portable, temperature restricted, hardware limited, battery powered devices with many changing factors with no regulation or requirements to comply with games publishers titles and compatibility. so when you look online and see how many negative comments there are about the game on "PC" laptop or desktop. it is no surprise your "not just some entry level" laptop is struggling. besides the "file fix" for people to try and make the game stable, or recommending how to reduce the games load to increase stability and performance, there really isn't much that can be done. This is EA in a nut shell. Admittedly Unbound "appears" to be changing the EA Culture of releasing crap and it "appears" to be some what more stable now nearing the end of its shelf life. but its taken all this time to do so, and only "apparently" because of a reduction in profit and popularity.,. my final note for you.. Laptops are branded for gaming, and sure they can,. but by no chance do they match/equal consoles and they are hugely limited by hardware and mainly Temp throttling.
My CPU usage seems fine with Heat, but the problem is - and it only happens in this game it seems because I've been keeping an eye on my temperatures while I play other games as well - it cranks my CPU heat up to atleast 84, at one point it hit 90+
So only the cpu makes the physical heat on the cpu ., apologies if i make that sound stupid.. the game has nothing to do with how much heat or when... The game is requesting the Hardware to be at 100% performance state whilst loading all default assets into mem etc the moment you load into the game. logic to this is that at any moment the game can request textures or assets and the hardware can delivery there and then . in theory. works for consoles thats how they are designed.. it is this "setup/optimisation" that makes the cpu, ram, gpu and motherboard as a whole heat up .. once heat is in the cpu and cooler and cant dissipate (cool down quick enough) then you get heat soak, so to explain if you dont know of this,. If you CPU is cooling quick enough your temps will hit a "peak" (non thermal limiting in theory) if your cpu cant due to heatsink or system cooling issues your cpu will "heat soak" being that the temp will just keep rising until it hits a thermal limit, limit being ether the system shuts down or the cpu performance limits in attempt to reduce temps, or melts. CPU Heatsoak can have a serious knock on effect including and not limiting to damaging your motherboard and memory.. additionally CPU Cooler Heat soak will just heat up your case like an oven. Your cpu may still be able to provide enough performance/power to play the game, but at a cost of heat. to reduce heat reduce the demand on your cpu... ie try the cpu fix.. BUT also look at your cooler, is it mounted correctly, is the thermal past between good? or does it need reapplying, can your case (if desktop) take more fans or be remounted to move are more efficiently ... NOTE if your on a laptop at his temp.. youv got probs,.. Laptops just arnt ment to play games at a high level unless its a "dedicated gaming laptop". especially badly optimised games like NFS heat.
@@cryo9shadow91 Yep i know. So not showing off or anything , i run cyberpunk 1440 144fps with rt pt, and the entire game at max, my system wont go above 60c, avg is normally once gaming around 58c. thats cpu avg around 54, gpu around 58/60 ish , Yes obviously i have the computer hardware/fans etc setup very well to do this, 5 140mm intake fans with another 140 on rear for added extraction. . cyberpunk is optimised for pc and hardware. like many other titles., so it will only put demand on the system when needed, NFS Heat pre-loads the hardware to 99% with all base assets and has he cpu go all cores 100% throttle on stand by (technicly not exactly like that with those terms but im trying to simplify it) Think of it like a cpu bench test, loading the cpu up . abit you head when 1000+ things are being said or hurled at you, your brain will over heat. the cpu is working so hard, all cores & threads demanding so much voltage it becomes waited heat. by reducing the amount of cores / threads the game thinks it has access to will inturn reduce the amount of voltage and work load = lower heat. I am sure that if Cyberpunk was to be setup to do something similar it could. just like every other game could. but you would find them in the same problem as EA and its titles , customers un happy about performance. EA heat isnt the only title, apparently Unbound is the same, also the new WRC and F1 games under ea control are similar.
my game was feeling like a velocity edit and i checked task manager to see my mid range cpu maxed out at 100% usage.. this game needs better optimization
I downloaded NFS Heat from Steam. And I am unable to find this user.cfg file in the installation directory and the Documents game folder. What should I do?
So that's a completely different issue. I'm aware of it but haven't looked into why or how to fix it. Probably a dx issue. Work Checking your dx package is up to date. Also check your monitor is seen hdcp compliant, try setting the game start in window mode just to get into the game.
@@GF4KArts just go to the Microsoft site Search directX . Download the latest version compatible for your OS. Follow the on screen instructions when you launch the dx package.
It's to do with your resolution. You have to enter the correct resolution of your monitor into the "_profile" file which is under documents>Need for Speed Heat.
@@ZevFei yeh I'm aware some people are saying the steam version doesn't work. But iv had people I know have it working in their steam version. I might do some testing and a new vid soon.
Can happen. If your running the steam client version check your file is still there . Steam client in the past updates the game and removed all non official files. In game lag as in multiplayer is a separate issue. If you mean FPS drops or stutters this can be a few issues. Reducing CPU usage will cause a small drop in FPS depending on your pc/laptop will effect your FPS .
i found that the reason my pc did this was because of my fps, for some reason i was getting 5000 fps but it was using 100% cpu, turned on Vsync and it went to 20%
Yes and no to this. You would have seen some sort of reduction to vsync as it limits FPS to your monitors Hz. So 60hz = approx 60fps. 144hz = 138-144 FPS depending on quality of monitor. Back in the day the rule of thumb was Vysnc only worked in full screen exclusive mode. But now you can depending on hardware have sync in window mode as well. Their can be side effects to this however with games. Also .. Vysnc can provide performance but also add load to the GPU. Game vsync these days can be more of a problem then a helping hand. Nvidia profile vsync can help more than in-game vsync but.. will still tax the GPU just not as much as ingame vsync. But vsync won't stop the way the game is coded/optimised. NFS games are build for console of which they tell consoles to go to 100% hardware performance so they are ready/able to deliver any request at a pin drop. To reduce lag/FPS drop etc. Also why consoles the moment an nfs game loads the console gets instantly hot, consoles don't suffer from thermal limits on hardware as much as pc. The os on consoles isn't as demanding and there's not many 3rd party apps using the hardware. On pc it doesn't work like this you system gets bogged and the thermals set in.
This is absolutely amazing! I had been playing around with the user.cfg since yesterday. I thought it had to match your processor's cores and threads (8 and 16 in my case), but when I tried 4 after watching this video, stutters vanished! I am so thankful to you. Just had a question, could you drop it to 3? and why is there a double quotation mark at the end? because I did not have it initially
Sorry late reply. So yes 4 is lowest. My understanding in Ea's wisdom the game will only support 2/4/6/8 core, I don't think the game sees triple cores . However the game is set to maximize all designated cores to 90+% as if it was a console. Pc you need a good 20% of a single core to do day to day. Simply reducing available cores to the game frees up resources needed for the system. This does not take into account threads. Although they are heavily used. This game does not require above 4 core if youve got above 2.6ghz & ddr3 ramm+ . SSD is also a preferred option but not required. I won't get into the code. Another trick to smooth out the game is use NVC profiles, or the AMD equivalent.
@@fadeelkhan1263 rather long to explain but if you check my other video about NVC & a game called APB ua-cam.com/video/Cmvhh75xn_I/v-deo.html Plus in the video description there is a link to the thread on the work iv been doing . Take your time to learn and understand NVC profiles you can then optimize your system for games.
thats great news ! , temps will lower now that your cpu isnt being hammered., although you gpu will still be working over time with this game, best thing for a laptop is go to 1280x720 (this is still hd but very low) have your graphics at medium. Heat doesnt give much choice of other options, but im looking into a solution for this. another option is to not use HD res at all. so 1152x768 or 1440x960 these are still high res but less work for gpu
Knew about high cpu usage in this game...but blew my mind when my 5600H was at 100% all the time. But due to high thermal limit it's allcore boost was at 3.8ghz and the temps were touching 98C.
unfortunately, this, and anything else I could find on the whole damn internet, did not work for me. intel i7 10700F NVidia RTX 2060 (6GB) 16 GB DDR4 RAM I have tried everything I could, sometimes it would randomly stop stuttering, but that happens like so rarely.. I'm in the game and my cpu usage is like 70%, slowly increases to 80, 90, then it hits hundred for about a second and goes back to 70%, and it does this the entire time in a endless loop, causing heavy stuttering like every 2-3 seconds, wich makes the game absolutely unplayable. "repairing" the game files didn't do anything either. and no, I am not willing to reset my entire pc just for need for speed. anyone got any idea for this mess, please?..
So your CPU is basicly the same as mine, in Core Count,. so you should just use the same file config 4. make sure you havnt left out any spaces or added any spaces or characters. also have the file saved in the two places. Other thing to think about is in NVC go to your Gpus "Config Surround, PhysX" Settings and make sure the options are set to GPU only, your 2060 will be strong enough to handle it all. go to "manage 3d settings" (you will require your GPU to use advanced 3d image settings) Select or add your game, and scroll down to "OpenGL rendering GPU" and select your gpu card installed., this will also offload the cpu.
not an issue, you can simply create it, open windows "notepad" type word for word what i have and adjust the gst.render and cores. when you save it to the game directory make sure you save it as "user.cfg" . you can check this by right clicking it and going properties should say type of file "(.cfg) just checking do you have a .dll file that says "oo2core . . ."
@@lappen2930 Thats standard for all, its a .dll "dynamic link library" file which you dont need to or want to play with. It wil have its own reasons for being there.

so youv got an 8c16t avg clock of 3,2ghz and turbo to aprox 4.4ghz. these can naturally run hot. amd is known for running hot anyway. this is heavy dependant on alot of different variables, so start with easy fixes to the more difficult 1, computer placement/room airtemp - have decent cool air ventilation or is it sucking in its own hot air. 2, compound between heatsink and cpu, HP although an Omen branded unit will still uses basic compound, and if older compound can age/crack/dry etc if your system is out of warranty it may be worth getting a cpu cleaning/re-install kit and put some new/good stuff on. As a laptop its very difficult and are always limited by heat soak/ heat limits of avg 95-100, so if this has been disabled then your device is in danger of being damaged. if the limits are still in place then your laptop with begin to drop performance in attempts to reduce temps. Look at investing a laptop cool pad or somthing.
Hey my friend it is nice video. "GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 4" this one i should to change same as first value? My CPU is Xeon W3680 6 Core 12 Thread Thread.ProcessorCount 6 Thread.MaxProcessorCount 12 Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0 Thread.JobThreadPriority 0 GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 6 is this true?
Hello just use the count 4 version. If it's the w3680 I'm thinking then it's base 3.33 turbo 3.60. It will run smooth on count 4. Just keep in mind Xeon "are not ment" to be used for gaming. So depending on system build monitor your temps around the system.
Hmm i do have the cfg file in there but i simply cannot open it, what am i supposed to do? For me its just a blank white icon but the name is the same.
Here is an update: I found out i can open it with the notepad but inside the file there is just: "staticcfg". Nothing else, i have the game on steam by the way, so what is the best thing to do next? Thank you!
@@SgtDrayke Thank you! It works pretty well! I have 2 core cpu so i put everything to 1 and the fps is the same but the cpu does not heat up anymore like before.
So it's a 6c 12t . Would match my CPU so just do the same . As mentioned before you might have to set the game to minimum graphics when first doing this file to have the game stable and then up the graphics slowly to find your optimum. Make sure your not adding any spaces or other characters in the file.
What would you recommend I put the numbers in the user.cfg file? I have a 12th gen intel i7-12700. I tried to put numbers in that I thought were right and still getting 100 degrees. Never happens on any other game too.
So these cpus are very different, your (based of what you've stated) Has 8 Performance cores & 4 Efficient. to a total of 12, yet it apparently 20 threads.. because math.. 😂 intel.. .. so really id stick with the same as mine on that. if its still not working. double check every letter and character entered into the text file, including spaces.
@@SgtDrayke Thankyou very much I’ll give it a go soon, I’m very new to pc so all of this is like brand new to me. I have access to the game through the game pass so it’s on like the ea app not origin or steam. And on the the files for the game there is no settings folder so I just made one I couldn’t really find anything saying specifically about that version of the game. I have no clue if making a file was the right thing It just seemed the best thing to try.
@@TheRealSlatz game pass as in Microsoft xbox store? if i remember right those games are secured. so youl struggle to gain access to the game directory. were the User.cfg Should be located. if you can gain access to the game install directory then the create and save the file there.
Hi, I have an intel i5 7300hq 8gb ram and a gtx 1050 4gb, the processor is always at 100% usage and the temperature at 80°, I tried putting the user.cfg file in the root folder of the game and also in the documents folder -settings with this configuration: Thread.ProcessorCount 4 Thread.MaxProcessorCount 4 Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0 Thread.JobThreadPriority 0 GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 4" When I opened the game it didn't work, the processor was still at 100% and the temperature at 80°, is there a solution?
so my understanding that is a 4c4t . Just double check the file is saved as a .cfg If your not sure right click the file and go to properties . You can rename the file in directory . Some OS don't show file extensions by default. Otherwise just check there isn't any spaces at the beginning or end of each line. Also Try 2 , 4, 0, 0, 2 might not work.
Greetings. I have a few days ago, about 5,600 x rizen cpu for replacement users. But 'NfS heat' to carry out a game moved up to 100 % is activated each time cpu is impossible to continue... How can I resolve this case? The ram gb ddr to 3200 mhz and 1080 ti gpu.
so if thats the 6c/12t use the "user.cfg" tweak and set it to 4c, use the Nvidia control panel and create your own "profile" (do not confuse this with Global Settings) you will need to tell NvCP to use "advanced 3d image settings". When creating your games Profile id recomend setting GPU to Max power, Limit Frames down to 65 or 75 (based on your monitor being 60hz) also turn on VSync . In game put graphics settings to medium to start with.
after i put this settinjf why my games cant launch ? any idea guys? i've done disable antivirus , and change the crack .. i try setting in nvidea control panel.. but nothing change.., my games didnt launch
probably late, sorry.. means either there is a missing character. or additional space etc. or you are using a quantity of cores/threads that isnt compatible. i found anything under 4cores wont be stable.
Gee. EA .. what's your pc spec? Make sure youv updated your graphics drivers (not firmware) . I'm aware 4090s need a bios firmware update to run the game but only 4090s for now. Why a hard reboot does it happen automatically? Or is the game freezing the whole system?
I did the exact same steps, I checked everything, every single pixel in the cfg file and didn't work, didn't make any difference, cpu still at 100%, i5 9400f paired with an Asus rtx 2060 oc and I'm using W11
@@ElDaniMR not that I'm aware of. Some systems just don't see the file. Wether that's because the game is via steam or because your running a particular CPU I don't know.
@@SgtDrayke I think the problem is Steam because I got it from there, I saw a comment that turning off steam overlay would work so I'll try again later.
No not sure what your refering to as installation map.. origin and EA games are the same thing just rebrand. So your installation will be the same. So if the master folder is called origin then in the "EA games" launcher just add your "origin" directory as a storage location or choose the game directory as the game title location . The newer "EA games" launcher is actually better as you can now select multiple storage locations and a location of a pre installed game directory.
I'm playing heat with unite 3.3.1 mod. Locked it at 60fps, no frame issues or stuttering but cpu temp goes up to 80-85C on legion 5 laptop (5800h rtx3060).
Copy this:
Thread.ProcessorCount 4
Thread.MaxProcessorCount 4
Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0
Thread.JobThreadPriority 0
GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 4"
looks the same as i posted. but glad it works 😂
MAN WHAT, i recently bought new cpu i7 12700 and tried this game again bcs it is so good , and it was weird that my cpu was struggling to it, constant 100 usage and literally 90 celsius TEMPS and even struggling on medium settings, so i was searching for help, and u man, one single thing to type as user.cfg where i put cores 12 and threads 20, instant max 70 Cpu usage, max 70 celsius and literally no problem on everything EVERYTHING on ultra, thank you so much man. love u

EA. Create a game on pc with 99% focus for consoles using a single template for all platforms (being use every resource at max) then last minute do a console to pc port with everything broken.

Some in game options are so limited, its best to view and edit your profile options, "Profileoptions_profile" this document is located in "my documents/need for speed Heat / Settings = PROFILEOPTIONS_profile. right click this document to submenu and "open with" = "note pad"
to a novice it will look odd, do not change anything in this document other then the numbers, keep in mind the space before and no space after.
so example "GstRender.VSyncEnabled 1" so "GstRender.VSyncEnabled_1" the underscore is representing a space., numbers equal :
0 Off,
1 on, Or Low
2 Low/medium
3 medium
4 medium/high
5 high/max
Do not think 2 is your answer to everything.. Even on my rtx4080 super I only have one or two at 4 or 5. the rest is 3,
In your case I cant say what is best. I would gues, rtx3060 at 1080 you would want your avg to be 2, if you find your gpu is happier then raise the base options, like textures, shadows light quality, effects.
AmbientOcclusion 4 < set to 2
AnisotropicFilter 4 < set to 2
AntiAliasingPost 2 < set to 2
EffectsQuality 3 < 2
LightingQuality 3 < 2
MeshQuality 3
Follow exactly and it works great. Some people struggling with this in comments and it makes me think, How difficult would it be for EA to just fix this? Instead they do everything else to deny, deflect, on and on.. instead of fixing their mistake. The user of a game should never be expected to have to fix it themselves. Thank you for fixing EA's game for them as they don't appear to be capable of doing it themselves. True Giga Chad
His reasoning as to why this happens is even spot on when the game is just not optimized well for different configurations.
The console CPU's were pretty weak so they needed to get the most out of them to run properly.
HA ! how difficult would it be to pay the staff properly with all that profit? rip..

i cant find any user.cfg file in my game folder, mine was steam version
Add it by your own
add it your self by creating the file. So some people have said that they add it to steam, and randomly it gets removed, i can only think this happens if there is an update, unless steam askes for the game files to be verified. steam shouldnt have an issue with it or remove it.
Thanks bro ! finally my cpu is not dying XD

You the best, left a like. I was desperate already, thought i could never make it run as it should. Works like a charm now, thanks 😁
THANK YOU 🫡
Ryzen 1800x x370 taichi updated 7.1 bios, 32 gigs ddr 4 3200, Rx7600 8gig.
SWEEEEET!! A challenging but entertaining FPS to game at. Doesn't work for everyone and depending what you set will effect your experience. 😂
The method I mentioned works for alot of games especially emulators and you don't lose much performance as long as your base clock speed is relatively good again thanks for the info I'll be attempting this on my desktop and comparing the both 👍
mate thank you!!
Used to barely get 60 fps with lowest settings now I have no problem even on ultra :D
Spot on Good Good
It's weird how my ryzen 5 2600 didn't have this problem but I just recently picked up a 7 5800x and the usage was bouncing off 100% while temps say around 90..
There is no file named use.cfg in my game instalation
You can just create one in there i'm pretty sure
thanks
Make it
I dont have that file in my folder

@@barebarekun161 yeh the loading is arse. You need to have the game on SSD . The reason for the CPU spikes is because it's loading all the assets. Pc's don't like or work like that.

Im using steam what happens if i dont have that file? Should i create it?
Just Make it. Steam will still validate the game files. It won't take any notice of the fix file. 👌😬
Problem is, that's the only game that heats my CPU up like this. Cyberpunk, any new game really, doesn't do it@@SgtDrayke
@@cryo9shadow91 Yep i know. So not showing off or anything , i run cyberpunk 1440 144fps with rt pt, and the entire game at max, my system wont go above 60c, avg is normally once gaming around 58c. thats cpu avg around 54, gpu around 58/60 ish , Yes obviously i have the computer hardware/fans etc setup very well to do this, 5 140mm intake fans with another 140 on rear for added extraction. .
cyberpunk is optimised for pc and hardware. like many other titles., so it will only put demand on the system when needed,
NFS Heat pre-loads the hardware to 99% with all base assets and has he cpu go all cores 100% throttle on stand by (technicly not exactly like that with those terms but im trying to simplify it) Think of it like a cpu bench test, loading the cpu up . abit you head when 1000+ things are being said or hurled at you, your brain will over heat. the cpu is working so hard, all cores & threads demanding so much voltage it becomes waited heat. by reducing the amount of cores / threads the game thinks it has access to will inturn reduce the amount of voltage and work load = lower heat.
They will never optimise their games for pc. Launch priority is consoles and port to pc.
Man I just want to play this game peacefully :(
as in no online?
I downloaded NFS Heat from Steam. And I am unable to find this user.cfg file in the installation directory and the Documents game folder. What should I do?
I also can't find it. What file should we be tweaking if we installed through steam?

Thank you, it was complicated before, nfs heat was... well.... heat, around 90ºC
HA! 🔥🧯
The problem with this one is, I get a black screen on startup
So that's a completely different issue. I'm aware of it but haven't looked into why or how to fix it. Probably a dx issue. Work Checking your dx package is up to date. Also check your monitor is seen hdcp compliant, try setting the game start in window mode just to get into the game.
@@SgtDrayke how do you check the dx package? I'm using steam version of the game btw
I just wondering can we put this file to another game too? Because my Assassin Creed Origins have high CPU usage too.
hey bud I have not tested it. but their is nothing stopping you trying.

@@ZevFei yeh I'm aware some people are saying the steam version doesn't work. But iv had people I know have it working in their steam version. I might do some testing and a new vid soon.
it kinda worked bc it's better now but it's still lagging and it was normal literally few days ago
My CPU is Ryzen 7 4800H (laptop) 8c16t base clock 2.9ghz turbo 4.2ghz
Ok I figured out that 4 is the bare minimum.
@@SgtDrayke Thanks. Could you tell what NVC profiles are? because it does stutter here and there, but it has greatly reduced.
@@fadeelkhan1263 rather long to explain but if you check my other video about NVC & a game called APB ua-cam.com/video/Cmvhh75xn_I/v-deo.html
Plus in the video description there is a link to the thread on the work iv been doing .
Take your time to learn and understand NVC profiles you can then optimize your system for games.
Why it didn't work for me?
could be many different reasons. but most common is a simple typo
I've tried this metod, with my i5-10300h and gtx 1650ti, made sure everything was allright, but there's still 100% usage on cpu
I still have the issue same CPU GPU 3050ti
then something is wrong. maybe a space or character out,. but not everyone is succesful.. 🛠
Hmm for some reason that file isn't in that folder at all. Its not in the documents folder either.. Any suggestions?

It won't be by default. Just create it 👌👍😬
This really worked for me.
From mid-70's to low-30's or mid-40's. Thank you!
(Now i have to figure out how to low temps on my laptop xD)
thats great news ! , temps will lower now that your cpu isnt being hammered., although you gpu will still be working over time with this game, best thing for a laptop is go to 1280x720 (this is still hd but very low) have your graphics at medium. Heat doesnt give much choice of other options, but im looking into a solution for this. another option is to not use HD res at all. so 1152x768 or 1440x960 these are still high res but less work for gpu
Yo just repaste with some good thermal paste like thermal grizzly kryonaut or use liquid metal
Knew about high cpu usage in this game...but blew my mind when my 5600H was at 100% all the time. But due to high thermal limit it's allcore boost was at 3.8ghz and the temps were touching 98C.
yeh

unfortunately, this, and anything else I could find on the whole damn internet, did not work for me.
intel i7 10700F
NVidia RTX 2060 (6GB)
16 GB DDR4 RAM
I have tried everything I could, sometimes it would randomly stop stuttering, but that happens like so rarely..
Did you really create the user.cfg file in both folders? It only worked for me after creating it in both, otherwise not
I don’t have a doc called user.cfg
I'm sure iv stated in the vid and description and other comments about this.
When I go to the local files, there’s no user.cfg file? Why might that be?
not an issue, you can simply create it, open windows "notepad" type word for word what i have and adjust the gst.render and cores. when you save it to the game directory make sure you save it as "user.cfg" . you can check this by right clicking it and going properties should say type of file "(.cfg)

so youv got an 8c16t avg clock of 3,2ghz and turbo to aprox 4.4ghz. these can naturally run hot. amd is known for running hot anyway.
this is heavy dependant on alot of different variables,
so start with easy fixes to the more difficult
1, computer placement/room airtemp - have decent cool air ventilation or is it sucking in its own hot air.
My CPU is Xeon W3680 6 Core 12 Thread
Thread.ProcessorCount 6
Thread.MaxProcessorCount 12
Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0
Thread.JobThreadPriority 0
GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 6

Hello just use the count 4 version. If it's the w3680 I'm thinking then it's base 3.33 turbo 3.60. It will run smooth on count 4. Just keep in mind Xeon "are not ment" to be used for gaming. So depending on system build monitor your temps around the system.

it might not work for everyone
My NFS:Heat freezes and crashes after setting all those specified values to 4, couple of seconds after launching the game (R5 3600). Strange, really.

Thread.JobThreadPriority 0
GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 4"

so my understanding that is a 4c4t . Just double check the file is saved as a .cfg
If your not sure right click the file and go to properties .
You can rename the file in directory . Some OS don't show file extensions by default.
Otherwise just check there isn't any spaces at the beginning or end of each line.

use the Nvidia control panel and create your own "profile" (do not confuse this with Global Settings) you will need to tell NvCP to use "advanced 3d image settings".
