Really enjoyed watching all the folks participating in the event. I was licensed in May and attended my first Field Day here in Jupiter, FL. I had a great time, great food, ribs and chicken, can't wait for the next one!

73 from Texas! I'll give ya'll a pass for that bbq pit message!
That is great, there is a story Jim has to tell about that, something to do with a neighbor who lives by him who moved here from TX trying to tell him how it should be don his way, all in jest so Jim put that on there for a parade that went by his house. Nothing against TX hi hi. Thanks and glad you enjoyed the video
@@RadioHamGuy All in fun! But we do have better BBQ!
Just found your channel. I live down the road from you just south of Rochester MN.
Looking into getting my HAM license and wondering what advice you'd have for taking the test? So far I've just been going through test questions on a HAM study guide website
Well that sounds great, glad to hear that. I can help point you in the right direction. They do regular testing in Austin, I know most of those guys. They probably have sessions in Rochester also but I am not up on what they are up to. If you sish to email me for more info, you can do so at wd0akx at arrl.net. That is a zero in there and not an oh. You will have a lot of fun with ham radio...Larry

That callsign sounds familiar, I may have talked to him by radio before.
