My belt lasted 287,365 all original oem switch out the Bando 7pk2120 same as oem also Also the change out pulleys as well with Gates (2x) 36173, (2x) 36174. Oh head up that valve cover gasket will dry rot eventually for me at 288,202 look for a small amount of oil on spark plugs do compression test dry and wet first.🤙
I'm about to change my valve cover gaskets on my 2005 4runner. Starting to leak a little at 283k miles. Did you replace anything else when doing the valve cover gaskets? Any other gaskets I should replace while doing those? I hear the upper air intake gaskets usually are brittle as well
How difficult is it to change out the belt? Do I need assistance too, or can I do it solo? How long would it take, a few hours? Id rather do it myself than spend an extra $200-300+ for a mechanic to do it. Id rather learn to do it
Very easy. It just takes some work as you can see. Though I’d recommend using a breaker bar so that you have more leverage to move the tensioner pulley
At 8:12 , the OEM Pulley is actually 16 oz and not 10 oz. Apologies for the typo!
Did you notice any slipping?
At high RPM’s
Or at full throttle?
When the automotive world needed him most, he came back. Also that edit at 4:47 murdered me!
I’m surprised 5:12 didn’t get you haha!
Didn’t know you were a mechanic in free time lol . Nice video.
Lol thanks Mariano!

Do you have a video on, or more information about the oil cooler you installed?

@@airsoftmechanic thank you kindly.
@Airsoftmechanic did you notice any slipping?
No I didn’t. But I did notice the AC blows much harder with the new belt

What's the yellow cap thing on the oil filter?
Oil filter magnet
Maybe you should have replaced the water pump if you haven’t done so in the past.
I do plan to replace it soon. Surprised it's still holding up now, but it's only a matter of time
Which head unit is that?
It came from a 2015 Toyota Yaris!
@@airsoftmechanic thanks. Was there any special harness or anything else needed to install?
@@juanapatiga6514 Had to get a harness adapter, and a couple of other wires and connectors
