Appreciate it! I intend on putting out a lot of content in the coming weeks, been loving this game for months and very excited to share it with people :D
Deadlock seems like a good entry to mobas (i've played all of them). My biggest recommendation to have fun is not focusing on how to win more, but just muting negative andys and experiment as much as you want, which will lead you to actually win more. Mobas games are technical wonders, but for the same reason their player base are a rabbit hole of toxicity.
It's a hard one due to the fact the respawn timer starts when the last one dies, it's not set at a clock timing so whilst you might have a route you can't guarantee it'll be there if others have farmed it
i have to say your videos are the best introduction into the game as i've just started playing about 2 days ago and feel like i've leveled my game up substantially just from a gamesense perspective watching these since the only "mobas" i've played before this was gigantic and super monday night combat also glad to see all the videos being well received as i do remember you from tf2 and i love everyone from that game
Another TF2 player :D Thanks for the support. The TF2 Boomer squad is active in this game and we are looking to represent the TF2 community and make everybody proud
Thank you so much for this, its really good to see the exact mindset one should approach midgame and laning with! Cant wait for more, a lash guide would be cool too!
Awesome vid man. Really helped me out. I’ve been really struggling with the Midgame of Deadlock (came from Overwatch) so it’s great to have someone really spell it out for me.
Great video! As a non-MOBA player, I learned a lot. Mid-gane is definitely the hardest to master and you did a good job explaining what objectives I should be doing and when.
8K you and Dead Air are easily going to be my go to deadlock channels. Both put out good content and you have a really good voice for guides. You also are just a good player which is nice and since you are already doing guides based on demos its great.
Can you make a video about item shopping. What to buy and how to adapt in losing and winning situations, can I skip t1-t3 items and go straight for t4 etc? This will help a lot at improving. Great videos, I watched all of it!
Binging all your videos - and loving them all. Clear commentary, love the gameplay examples and commentary! Well made and enjoyable! Keep up the great work and hope you blow up more as the game does. This is my first moba - tons to learn. I struggle a lot with so many items to buy - I know theres community builds, but any other help on how to buy - how to know what to sell when you can buy a more expensive one but no available slots… idk just tips for buying efficiently. And when to do jungles. When if your ahead/tied/behind?
One thing to think about items is that smaller items tend to be more cost efficient - unless you have a particular tier 3/4 item that really amps up your plan, it's probably better to fill your slots with some tier 1/2 items first. Even if you are going for a "gun build", you probably want to get some cheap spirit items (and vice versa). For selling items, it's important to keep in mind why you bought the item. A lot of t1 items you get early are for the lane - if you don't need that extra regen or harass potential, those are the items you want to sell to make space. Figuring out which items are "laning" items will probably cover you unless you get into a super crazy 60 min game or something. For lower level games, I have found that lanes are often ignored quite badly. As such, forget about the jungle and shove that lanes. Only if all nearby lanes are pushed (or if enemies there make it dangerous) should you head to the jungle. If it's not urgent (i.e. creeps pushing but aren't under tower yet), you can pick up some jungle creeps on the way. Also, don't forget that jungle creeps are unsecured souls - don't spend 2 mins in the jungle then go for a crazy risky all-in play and igve all yoour hard work to your opponent. Spend those souls!
Im an absolute beginner and after two rounds i like that game. I was dogshit, but still had some fun. This could potentially become my second main game behind Valorant. Id appreciate a beginner guide for the easiest starter Champ/Hero/whatever...."All you need to know to have fun as a noob/to start deadlock". This would be very helpful to easily improve and get to know the game better. I know its a beta, but there is no tutorial for basics. Which is fine, but i still miss. Your videos about the game are really helpful so far, cannot wait to play again that weekend after work is done and watch more of your videos
Great helpful video and nice explanation. In lot of my games what happens is enemies come as 5 and kill 2 team mates in a lane , as 5 they just take walker and guardian so easily .. while others are split pushing . So is split pushing and shoving lanes really good strat or not ??
Hello, thanks for the guide! How do you decide which skill to prioritize with ability points on heroes and is there a website that gives a rough guideline on this?
I like Lash. Him and Viscous feel like high skill cap chars. I stopped to learn Visc but Lash still feels a bit clunky. I know it's me, just need to put in more time. A guide would be great.
When itemizing, do you ever consider Monster Rounds as a viable item? I've definitely considered it, but the 35% inc damage to creeps seems marginal when you can buy generic gun items with like 20-25% inc damage
Not sure if anyone else said, but seems like your voice audio is really low, had to max the windows audio and video player to barely hear it over my fan which isn't that bad itself so I normally can hear things fine at like 50%ish. If nobody else is mentioning it than maybe it's just a me problem, you could maybe up the gain on the audio a bit to make things louder if you wanted. That's the only thing, otherwise not a bad video at all when you were mentioning production quality at the end :^)
How often should you be clearing the jungle camps if there’s nothing more urgent on the map? Should I just be farming them as soon as they come up all the time?
@@XRavenxMotionsX if there's really nothing more urgent on the map, as often as they are up. However there's almost always something more urgent! Always ask yourself "Can I push a wave?", "Can I pressure a tower?", "Can I run Urn?", etc

It’s mostly alternating grapple with air dashes and double jumps because using grapple refreshes your air dash and double jump, and then I believe he has the extra stamina item so he can keep doing those things and he has the high tier charges item so he has like 4 grapples.
pretty sure that this is a visual bug for the replay system. he actually has 4 stamina bars since he has the extra stamina perk. he had four stamina bars then used 2 so 2 left
the main ways to get ahead you did was getting picks, split pushing and farming/stealing jg but some characters like grey talon? are bad at all 3 of those things. Basically no CC for picks, no escape tool for splitting and high reliance on spirit scaling so jg mobs are hard to clear. Maybe I'm missing something since I usually play wraith which can do all 3 but how would you go about the midgame on something like grey talon

Never played this kind of game before, but after playing some bot games and watching your content, I feel like I've improved a lot. Thanks for that!
An optimal path in the jungle would be a good subject, IMO
It's a hard one due to the fact the respawn timer starts when the last one dies, it's not set at a clock timing so whilst you might have a route you can't guarantee it'll be there if others have farmed it
the optimal path is always gonna be situational, but with the mini map it's pretty easy to tell what camps are up and when to seize the opportunity
It's usually just whichever camps are on the way to the lane you're gonna farm/gank/fight at next
i have to say your videos are the best introduction into the game as i've just started playing about 2 days ago and feel like i've leveled my game up substantially just from a gamesense perspective watching these since the only "mobas" i've played before this was gigantic and super monday night combat
