Yay! That is good news, and smart management. Don't running injuries bring a lot of emotions with them?! but your excitement and optimism is palpable, so well done on keeping it within reason. She's back.
It's kind of crazy that i started watching you about 3 months ago and you really helped me get going and started with couch to 5k, you got injured when i started and was injured the whole way through me doing the program, i have been doing the beyond c25k stamina run for the last couple of weeks and yesterday ran for 5 miles, i now have 10k firmly in my sights, it's so great for you to finally be running again!!!
Ah that’s so amazing to be told that I’ve helped you get going 🥹 You are doing incredible and that’s a huge improvement in such a short amount of time 🙌🙌 You’ll get to that 10k!!! 🏃🏻♀️
So hoping it keeps going well for you!🎉. I bet it felt so good to just be out and enjoying the freedom of being able to run. Your general fitness will come back really quickly too. ❤
Very exciting to see you running! I got injured soon after you did and am just getting back into running myself! It has been up and down for sure and I have a half marathon (my first) booked for November, so hoping I can get there. Good luck with your recovery, make sure you take it slowly when you do run, I've found that has made a massive difference to whether or not running flares up my pain.
That’s so good you’re back running again. It’s awful being injured isn’t it 🙈 I wish you all the best for your half marathon in November!! Thank you, I’ll be sure to take it slowly 🏃🏻♀️🫶🏻
I clicked on this video so fast when I saw it - I'm so happy for you! It's great that you're finally getting to see progress. My knee was oddly sore after my Thursday run last week, so I gave myself an extra rest day (skipped Saturday), and eased back the pace and distance a bit on Sunday. Now it feels fine. Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor (or so the saying goes). I have a 7K this Saturday and just got my final instruction email from the organizers. Now I'm really pumped up. Just hoping the temperatures don't climb up. I'm tired of summer weather!
So, SO excited for you, Lucy. Slowly, slowly, catchy monkey though, yeah? Take your time to build back up. Coming off an injury we can be really vulnerable to re-injuring ourselves. Hopefully your patience in waiting a couple of extra days before testing yourself will translate into you being able to take your time getting back into longer runs. Yay! 🎉
Congratulations on your run! As someone who goes through highs and lows with my health, I cherish the days I get to run. I’m really glad you have been cleared to start trying to run again. I wish you good luck, good health and good times running. May we all have good runs. 😉❤️🏃🏻♀️
It does feel like I have a whole new love for running again so I think I can relate to cherishing the days you get to run 🥹 Thank you so much! ❤️ Yes, good runs for all!! 😀🏃🏻♀️🫶🏻
Yey!!!!!! Oh my gosh, I've waited for this for so long. LOL that you basically sprinted on the first interval. 😆 So great! Don't discount the stresses of life. You're amazing! Whoop Whoop! 🙌
Hi hun. Pleased to see yr finally getting back to your running. I'm still suffering with sciatica. Have my MRI today so hopefully will get some results now. Took 3 months to get the MRI with the NHS. O well fingers crossed 🤞 love yr haul from Tesco. Nice n cosy. Take care hun. Xx
Ahhh, you've done it!!!! You're first time back, in the BEST way possible (listening to your care provider). Go, Lucy!!! Aww, your mugs and plants! And the SAVINGS!! Well done, sista-gal! I have the *worst* time finding pretty, white pots where I live. I think those kind just offer "the stage of attention" to the greenery of the plant and I just love the color contrast, as well. 🌱😍 Hehe, your tea "demand"/comfy cozy clothes dance, yeeesss! 😁😄💖👏💃 I have had one of the worst weeks in a very long time. One of the many things that went wrong? I have an eye patch over one eye and it could be there for the next 6 weeks or 8 months...it resolves itself so everyone is different. 🤦♀️ It's very weird running with one eye and I have a 10k in less than 2 months now, so. That said, I FEEL BETTER seeing YOU OUT RUNNING!! You have been so patient. Your progress and thinking you are pinpointing where you got injured is even more good news. I vote this long-term injury club just needs to come to an end, lol. 😅 It's just lovely seeing you excited, YT running friend! This is SUCH a pick-me-up right now. Celebrating for you! It's ok to welcome all of the range of feelings. Stay smart but don't let fear win out...such a balance there. Go with the gut if in doubt. You ARE in your body so you KNOW. Trust that. 💜 Your muscle memory will get you back in no time once this is all ok. Matt what? 3:47:00?? He DID the marathon?! A wonder! I am wondering what the day after my oldest's first marathon might be like. Do I need to plan for him to need a full day in bed/something else? How did you do or Matt do after both of your first, respective marathons?
I imagine it’s very strange running with one eye! Going to take a bit of getting used too but I hope it gets better soon 🤞 Thank you, that’s very kind 😀 Matt keeps telling me my muscle memory will kick in and I’ll be very happy when it does lol. After a marathon I’ve always found that it’s best to keep moving because if I sit for a long time then my legs would be really stiff and it would be more sore. Matt and I always try to keep walking around often because it helps. Getting out of bed and up stairs takes a lot longer but other then that just lots of stretching and having a bath with bath salts 🛀
So pleased for you that you managed to get out for the run - fingers crossed that your foot keeps improving. Loungewear set looked lovely and cosy, definitely something you appreciate more the older you get 😅😂 & congrats to Matt on another marathon in the bag 🤯
Congrats! I hope your healing continues and you're able to keep running. I'm curious whether your physio is doing any gait analysis to see if that's contributing to the injury, to help correct whatever caused it? Or if it was really just wearing worn out running shoes that caused it? In any case, you're inspiring me to start run-walking again. I've been walking every day and my knee has been totally fine for a couple months now, it's just fear keeping me from trying again. Next week I could reasonably start again (maybe even this week, but it's a crazy week). I just need to get out there! And I think this time I might not do timed run-walking, just walking until I feel up to running, and then running until I need to walk again. I feel like this is probably better for me than timed runs to start with. We'll see!
Thank you 😀 My physio told me it was a combination of things. My trainers being worn too long + moving to a very hilly area compared to where I was running + Matt being away for 6 months and it stopped me running as often to then running much more when he was back 🤦♀️ That’s amazing I am inspiring you to get running! I think that’s a great idea to listen to your body. I think that will always be my go to if I’m building up again because it takes the pressure off of ‘what should happen’. When really getting out there and doing what your body can is what is important 🫶🏻
Happy to sée you're back on track! Hiking on thé french livadrois-forez, i dont have many Times when i Can watch your vidéos ( network out!) Have nice runs.
Over 50 runner here with PF. I’ve been mostly out of commission due to the heat intolerance over the summer and I’m just getting back into it. I did a two hour 8 mile run/walk Saturday and felt great due to proper hydration and gummy candies every 30-45 minutes. 😉 Since then I’ve felt a little tired though. A nice excuse to take it easy for a day or two. 😊 …If this helps, transitioning back to more distance was easy with a one minute walk/30 minute run ratio.
“I am well and truly in my 30’s” haha CAN RELATE. Love the cozy haul. Glad your injury is coming around :)
Haha 😆 Thank you so much. I am super happy with this progress 🥹🏃🏻♀️

I know that scared/excited feeling well. Not just scared to see if the injury has healed but also scared to see how much conditioning I've lost.
Yes! I had convinced myself that I would be back at just 30 seconds again 😩
Happy to sée you're back on track!
