    As someone who has had my fair share of foot, ankle and knee pains, I really sympathize. But if you can't run you can bike, row, weight train and do core work. They can all help maintain your fitness, and burn off the crazy 😁

    Please don’t run on it yet, just give it 3 more days than you think you need and do plenty of calf raises, ankle mobility and foot massages.
    I’ve had chronic foot problems when running and the thing that turned them from a brief injury to a long term problem was running when I no longer felt pain rather than giving it time to heal.
    When it’s in pain, it’s fighting the injury, when it no longer hurts, it’s healing. That’s how I think of it. Don’t run on Sunday (please), wait til Wed at least. Plenty of other strengthening exercises and walking and when you do run, try a slow and short one, or a start-stop interval style one. I really hope you get better soon and come back stronger 🎉

      These vlogs are a week behind and I’ve still been resting it since. I changed my mind and decided to rest longer because I was worried about not giving it enough time 🤦🏻‍♀️😅 Thank you so much! 🫶🏻 I’ll be sure to take it easy when I do get to test it again.

    Hi Lucy I’m 12 weeks of no running 😭. Tore my abductor muscle, Iv never felt pain like it. Spent 2 weeks crying and then decided if I couldn’t work my legs I could work my arms. Bingo wings gone 👍! Can’t wait to run again but I’m still looking at another 4 weeks. Stay positive and don’t get back at it too soon it’ll only delay the process xx

    I look forward to your “swim with me” blogs. Seriously though, swimming is super low impact and is my personal favourite head-space-fixing exercise.

    When I was recovering from the flu a couple of weeks ago, I was hungry. So, I kept my hands busy with hand sewing or crocheting. Also, I started doing yoga. Stay busy.

    one word LucyShaw, kettlebell. a great low impact way to keep up with the cardio when I can't run. I hope you recover quickly and Please give yourself a bit more time than you think you need to heal up!

    I find my foot feels worse when I have eaten a lot of sugar or breads. Inflammation increases I think. Someone in a video said “if it hurts to walk and it hurts to run, you may as well run”. Good luck with your recovery

    My knee injury resulted in me buying a used spin bike, it wasn’t running but it was better than nothing. Maybe you can find some other type of exercise to try.
    Running makes me so dang hungry, I’m doing better about not grabbing carbs and reminding myself- you JUST had a snack you’re fine!!- constantly 🤪

      I have my bike but because I’m in pain I’m worrying too much to use it 😫 I have to have a word with myself just like that at times as well! 😅

    I am definitely in need of new shoes, and it’s starting to give me troubles. It all just really emphasizes the importance of keeping up with new shoes.

    100% guilty of running on expired shoes, luckily not injured. I have a new pair now 😊 what a difference!

    I am really sorry that you hurt your foot. I know exactly how you feel about your exercise time. That is also my knee time. It just helps me to get right in the head. Last time when I heard had nothing to do with running, I fell down the steps and I hurt my ankle pretty bad and it was a week or more before I could stand on it and then longer to run on it. It was really hard and we were going through a very stressful time. Somehow I managed it but I was really glad when I could get out and run. I hope you feel better soon.

    Ive had a few back pain days lately so on the days or weeks when its playing up ive taken to just going to do some short walks and its helped a ton. Still getting a little time on my feet but not as hard wearing as it is to run on them and means I still get outside and can still listen to my music or podcasts and have my me time which is usually why I go for my runs anyway. Not sure if any time of feet is good for you though, hope you feel better soon! 😊

    When i'm hungry it's often just because i'm thirsty, so i drink a great glass of water, and wait 10 mn . If i'm still hungry After those 10 mn, then i take a snack 2 Times out of 3 i'm not hungry anymore.😮

    Awe I feel your pain Lucy, I pulled my calf a week ago on a gentle 5km I’m two weeks away from THAT ultra with Freddy so I’ve taken last week and next week off running complete rest so I know what you’re going through (it’s driving me crazy) but needs must and we both know it pays to be sensible at times like this 😂. (Try Yoga, that’s my substitute)
    Also your kettle is louder than a foo fighters concert! 🎵

    For future Q&A, normally, do you snack? Or are you a 3 squares plus tea (how often)?
    Do you stay in a calorie deficit 7days a week or only week days? I have been on a strict calorie deficit for about 50 days and see slight results, but not what I expect, and I wonder if its bc I get super hungry at least once a week and allow additional calories. Ive also worked out every day except for 3. That being about 45 mins of either weights, running, or on my low energy days fast walking but if I do that at least an hour. Where are the weight loss results?? 😂😭 I feel ridiculous.
    The shirts look GREAT and way to get a deal! I liked the little side tuck-supa qt!
    I get this pain overtop my right ankle, like left to right over the whole top part of where my leg meets my foot...that only happens when I run too many days in a row, oddly, but it hurts a lot for like 1-2 weeks. FULL RECOVERY is imperative! Be patient with it. This too shall pass. 💜 No more beating yourself up, Sister!

      I love Gymshark leggings for running although I tend to wear shorts now.

    It’s the same for me; I find the endorphins from running make me less hungry than usual!

    Please dont run on it until you see a doctor given how much pain you have been in. I also wouldn't run on it until you get new trainers AND can walk consistently without pain. I know you miss it, I 100% get it. Biking, swimming, and lifting are your friends!

    If you have pain with weight-bearing, please see a physician. I’m not sure how the healthcare system in your country works, but if you or any other athlete walked into my clinic with this injury, I’d order an X-ray and refer to physical therapy if there is no fracture.

      Thank you for letting me know. At the moment I’ve been advised two weeks of rest and I’ll see how it is after. I do have a clinic that Matt has been to for an injury and he said he’ll get me in there if it’s needed. Hopefully it won’t be lol 😬

    Please don't run on it I made that mistake and was laid up for 2 weeks my ankle swelled up really bad
