I've had tennis elbow since march, its slowly getting better
Nice one. Did you wait until there was no pain at all to start rehab streches and exercises?
Cannot thank you enough. Started this problem a few days ago and now I am finding this. How amazing is that! Thank you.
You're welcome. I hope it helps.
What great timing for this! My husband has been diagnosed with tennis elbow and instructed to wear the padded arm brace on his forearm which does help to some degree. I'm definitely going to share this video with him to further his elbow & shoulder rehab as that is sore too. Thanks Dr. Jo! 🦮❤
You're welcome!

Thanks a lot for the video!I've been suffering with tennis elbow in both arms for the past 2 years and just downloaded one of your earlier videos. Will add the shoulder strengthening to it and workout alternate days.
How long should we expect some results/relief in pain?
Also, do you offer online consultations?
Thanks once again!
You're welcome! Healing is pretty different for everyone depending on what your diagnosis is, how long you've had it, and how your body reacts. So that's a tough question to answer. Some people see some relief in just a day or two, but sometimes it can take a few months of consistent treatment. No, I don't do online consultations. Good luck!
Can i go to gym with slap tear grade 3 or not
And I've stability in my shoulder ..just click sounds with movement
Doctor my ulnar nerve is dislocated. can I do ulnar nerve excerise ?
Hey Doc I've had tennis elbow for a long time and my elbow can no longer full straigthen, Is it possible to get my arm to fully become straight again or is it to late?
Hello Dr Jo? Thank you very much for your channel. It is super useful. I don't play tennis or golf, but I lift parcels at work and I believe I have a tendonitis outside of the elbows, where the triceps muscle attach itself to the elbow. I can't find out on your videos if the exercices for the tennis elbows are what is recommended for me.
You're welcome. I have a video for triceps tendonitis. You can find all my videos on my channel: ua-cam.com/users/askdoctorjo, and you can use the search tool (the magnifying glass) under the banner on the right side to find specific videos/topics.
How did you know I needed this?? Thanks!
You're welcome 😎
Thanks for simple excercise. I am suffering with tennis eblow(playign tennis ?for past one year, It went very serious on the first episode, and had to take Naproxen and rested a lot to reduce..but once I started playing it came back again.. I tried to do these excercises but I felt it increases the pain, so can you suggest whether can I keep doing these excercise or should start only after pain completely settled. Please suggest for pain management as well. I do icing mainly when it has more swelling.
You're welcome. Unfortunately, I don't know that answer since I can't evaluate you. Everyone is different. If there is any way you can see a physical therapist in person, they should be able to help you figure out a specific program for you and help answer your questions.
@@AskDoctorJo Thanks for the quick response, I met the sports ortho Dr, and he gave me the medicines to settle the pain and asked me to follow your video for exercise when mostly pain settles, So I am reaching out to you. :) so past few days I have been doing these, though I still have minor pain, so was asking whether should I continue these exercises and how long it can take to get settled, I want to be back on the court :).. if there is a way to do video consult with you, let me know..
🙏🏻🤝

Yikes! Never knew how tight my arm muscles were from my tennis elbow 😢Thanks a million 😊
You're welcome!
I have gotten tennis elbow from doing cable rows at the gym. I jumped up in weight too quickly. So it has been around 4 weeks. Still got a mild burning feeling now and then. When opening a bottle I noticed it hurts a bit. Not training is driving me mental. Is it best to generally wait until there is completely no pain at all, to begin rehab or is rehab good with mild pain? Knowing when to start physical therapy is the hard part. At its worst I couldnt sleep. Now after 4 weeks the pain is a 2 to a 3. Only if I try and lift with it or make a fist does it hurt a bit. Any advice is welcome and it will be taken fully at my own risk.
It's hard to say since I can't evaluate you, but in general, physical therapy gentle stretches and exercises can be started pretty quickly as long as they don't increase the pain.
@AskDoctorJo Thanks. Well I tried it starting slowly and gently and it actually doesn't burn today, it has helped the pain. I have been really struggling lately because I changed meds for depression, then had to go back to the old ones, as well as this injury that happened just over a month ago. Going to the gym is the only thing that keeps me sane. So not working out because of fear of worse injury has been tough. I am going to keep up with the rehab stretches and exercises and I will stop if there is any sharp pain and scale it back or stop if it is worse the next day. It does seem a but better though. So thank you. 😊
@@positivevibesrfc Hi there, just wondering if you kept doing the exercises in the video and if your tennis elbow improved? If you don't mind sharing :) Thank you!
