- Ukrainian troops bomb a Russian ammo warehouse and blow it sky high.
The attack was carried out by members of the 44th Artillery Brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces with the support of aerial reconnaissance by the 81st Airmobile Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces.
The brigade said on 8th June: “Artillerymen of the 44th OAbr of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the support of aerial reconnaissance of the 81st brigade of the 5th BTGR, bombed the accumulation of enemy equipment and ammunition in the Pologovsky district.
“It is known that Russian troops fired at three settlements in the Pologovsky district. Enemy shells hit Gulyaipole, the villages of Dobropolye and Upper Tersa.
“Earlier, the Russian military left some positions in the Melitopol and Vasilyevsky regions. As it became known, they moved in the direction of Kherson region.”

@Johnny H Johns Who would park supply trucks in the depot? That's where the supplies goes. Russia doesn't have enough supply trucks to keep idle. If it runs, it's either moving, loading/unloading supplies or getting fueled up.

At first, I thought that this was a huge mistake and a simple farm building had been shelled. Then when you see the secondary explosions and detonated munitions spontaneously firing out of the building in all directions, it becomes clear that this is exactly what it is described to be. Technically it could have been chemical fertilizer, though probably not. Although also unusual to not see a single Russian guard/soldier/vehicle in the area to at least keep an eye on the warehouse against looters.

This is a conventional long term war with relatively equal forces on both sides (yes, Russia is not a superpower, Ukraine is not a small country). So, we will see a lot of that in coming months.
