This worries me a bit. I'm all for auditing the police. On the other hand I can totally understand the paranoia of officers. The auditors in mainland Britain like to scoff when asked when the last time a police station or officer was targeted. It's very different in Ulster. Just saying people. Peace ✌

Just like in the mainland. Im from Denmark but have ancesters from UK so i try to follow whats going on over the other side of the North Sea. i watch these audit videos in amazement because your police seems to treat you with much less respect than here in Denmark.

Hello from Toronto Ontario Canada 🇨🇦, we had something called carding where police could stop anyone walking down the street and demand photo ID, however after months of public outcry and pressure on the politicians it was stopped, but for the police to be lawfully allowed to search you because they suspect you might be a terrorist is insane.
Just came across this channel. The PSNI’s reasoning (this is not me justifying it) is because of the threat posed by paramilitaries.
I have seen Police stations in other countries which have little to no outside protection.
Our police stations are practically fortified. This is because of multiple successful and attempted terrorist bombings during the Troubles and ever since.
Police Officers here (probably no different to anywhere else, but I digress) are often very conscious of their own safety, and thus they become very weary. The threat of terrorism is also the reason that all our Police are armed.
That explains why they suspect people of terrorism, but does not in anyway justify how they conduct themselves in this video. The women avoids eye contact and is passive aggressive almost, and the fact they almost went back into the station when they’re first attempt at a search failed, is deplorable and demonstrates dangerous incompetence.
The man was, at least, polite-ish and made eye contact.
The memo that has been sent by the NPCC states that the ‘audit’ is lawful, however it will 9/10 be subject to Police enquiring about your activity. No this does not legally constitute a search, which is where the gross misconduct and incompetence comes into play.

I don't know the ins and outs of the acts they use, but across the water other auditors would not be giving details. Is it different in N. I. that details do need to be given, and thus you give them under duress?
John I do this to show people that the police abuses the 2007 jsa act..yeah You do get arrested and get a criminal record if u don’t hand ur details over…yeah for doing something that is legitimate & legal

@@CJAuditsAuditingNI Ok, I just ask because im in the US and it seems as though NI's laws are different than Britain, Wales, Scotland's and Ireland's. This section 23 (apologies if i got the number wrong) seems to legally compel you to identify whereas the same law doesn't appear to exist elsewhere in the UK. Did not know if there were other relevant differences.

If you dont sue them you are just encouraging them to do it again.
Just to say that I have lived through the troubles in the North and if there was no continued terrorist threat their actions would not be justified...however there is sadly a real threat. I wonder how you would feel if the shoe was on the other foot and you were videoed whilst under threat. Police should issue a memo to ignore your presence and then there would be no substance to the videos.
There is a memo issued to all police..but they can’t be arsed to read it…or get someone to read it for them 👍🏻

That's clear and evident in your videos, there is only a tiny market for that standard of video. What you do is not auditing, you're just poorly imitating decent, respectful auditors out there.

He asked a question to a public servant, they came out didn't answer the question but started with the usual abuse of a camera man in public. Using none relevent legislation law, that's abuse of power.

They can only demand ID if you are suspected either about to commit a crime in the process of committing one has committed one or if you have been arrested for a suspected crime or that you have committed a crime which you have been arrested for then there is a Anti Social Behaviour Section 50 Of Police Reform Act where they could demand ID or if you match a description of a person to whom they are looking for No one has to ID themselves under terrorism etc is rubbish no one has to give them any details under that legislation anywhere in the UK

A suggestion would be put the the time and date on these videos. Then when a member of the public is waiting are cants get any police to help them out we will know they were dealing with you.
