Everytime n napapanuod ko to lagi akong pinapaiyak ng kantang to.I'm 31 yrs old, single at isang ofw na ngsusumikap here para mabigyan ko ng magandang buhay parents ko.Gusto kung suklian lahat ng hirap nila nung bata ako hanggang sa magkaedad ako.Mahal ko kayo ma,pa!❤kahit never ko pa to nasasabe sainyo in personal.

The song you translated is a different song called "Anak" and here's the song that you just reacted "Awit ng Anak" English translation Once a little child being guided, Helped with every step, Now standing on my own feet, Thank you, my mother, my father. I have no words enough, Nothing compares to your care, Now that you are old and weak, It is my turn to take care of you. I will guide and lead you too, When you cry, I will soothe you, I'll watch over you when you're sick, Touch your forehead with a kiss, And when the night is cold, I'll hug you tight, And pray for you, Cover you with love. I remember the hardships you endured for me, Sleepless nights, exhaustion, sadness- You endured them all, I will never forget, Your love is beyond compare. Don't worry, It's engraved in my heart and mind, I will also show in my own home, The incomparable love you gave. I will guide my children too, When they cry, I will soothe them, I'll watch over them when they're sick, Touch their foreheads with a kiss, And when the night is cold, I'll hug them tight, And pray for them, Cover them with love. I will guide and lead you too, When you cry, I will soothe you, I'll watch over you when you're sick, Touch your forehead with a kiss, And when the night is cold, I'll hug you tight, And pray for you, Cover you with love. You are beyond compare... You are unmatched... My dear Mother, My dear Father, Thank you so much! This song always makes me cry. We also sang this at our graduation.
The song (NOT THE ONE WH/LYRICS YOU READ!) expresses terrific gratitude and recognition of the hardships and sacrifices their parents went through to get them to be college graduates. Further the song promises that they will emulate their parents when they would start their own families and more- they will take care of their parents in their old age! Happily, the Philippines still has strong family ties, and it is still believed that the family unit is the building block and foundation of a strong caring Christian nation! May we Filipinos never lose this tradition!!!❤
oops but hey at least they were very similar in a way, both very meaningful towards the parents kind of having the same idea in loving and cherishing your parents in the things they've done❤
Thank you so much for this video...I cried a lot bcoz this song is dedicated to all parents... their hard work for their children to fulfill their dreams come true...Salute to all the parents ❤️🙏 Congratulations to all the Graduates ❤
A song for the father and mother who only cared and cared for their beloved child, now it's time for the child to care for the parents because they have reached success
It's an emotional song for us Filipinos because our parents sent us to school until we graduate in college or university. They finance our education because according to them Education is the only prestige or inheritance they can afford to give us for our future. We don't have student loan from the government so even they are poor, they strive hard so that we can finish and have a degree. The song is a tribute to our Mom and Dad as a thank you for their sacrifice to send us to school. We love you Mom and Dad!
Bro, these graduates are singing a very emotional song in dedication to their parents. It's a tribute to their parent's sacrifices just to send them to school. In Philippines, we value education so much, it's a common belief that if you graduate from a career of your choice, you would get employed so that you could help your family. Thanks 🙏 for featuring this event.
We should value and love our parents for all their hardwork and sacrifices they made for us. The song is about the love of parents to their children I loved it make me cry too ❤❤❤
The lyric that you read was ANAK by Fredie Aguilar which is different from the graduation song. The graduation song is AWIT NG ANAK which literally translates to SONG OF THE CHILDREN.The first line says "I was once a small child being guided. Supported every step. Now I'm standing at my own feet. Thank you my Mother, my Father." ... Thanks for the review. I guess they will release a video with English translation soon.
oops but hey at least they were very similar in a way, both very meaningful towards the parents kind of having the same idea in loving and cherishing your parents in the things they've done❤
Very timely, upon watching this, I recall the feud between a simple mother of an Olympian (a gold medalist) and the gymnast. I can’t grasp the answer to my question; Why there are sons/daughters who thinks that our sacrifices of raising them is an investment. You kindness and love is what parents need and not your money.
This was the graduation ceremony of the New Era University a few years ago. They always hold their commencement exercises like this. Giving recognition and gratitude to the sacrifices of their parents in raising them up and in doing everything to give them a good education is always a part of their commencement exercises. The New Era University is owned and managed by a religious organization called the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ).
Singing during graduation rites is normal for us here in the Philippines. Singing is part of our culture. We express our feelings through song or music.
I was bawling when listening to the lyrics it’s very emotional. I remember both of my parents who passed long time ago. My late father was the only one working to support the family and send 4 to college. I’m now living in Canada for 29 years
This is a tribute song for their father and mother , that despite the hardships they were able to let their children graduate in college So now that they graduated , the doors of opportunity is wide open and these children will return the love to them in unmeasurable ways. i.e build their parents a nice home, send their other siblings to school or call their parents to be with them when they work abroad. I t is a very heart warming. Its not only for one family but for all families. Its nice VISION if you get the subtitles and will appreciate the words and its meaning. that song is rooted in their souls.
We love you and appreciate you a lot for your reactions Gabriel and yeah,we love you too and pray for you ..here's wishing you good luck and God bless you more .
That’s how much Filipinos respect their parents. Our parents have given their all to help us through life. Especially in the Philippines with so much hardship. My grandparents moved to Hawaii for their children, for a better life.
They are Iglesia ni Cristo ( The church of Christ) and this was on New ERA University which is the owner are Iglesia ni Cristo. Proud Iglesia ni Cristo 💚🤍❤️ church of Christ
Hi ! hellooo Vis3on if you only know the english translation of the song they sung. You might cry or got teary eyes. The meaning of the song is dedicated to the parent's who work hard and even work abroad just let their children finish college.
I wish, Senior Gabriel, that someone among your circle of Pilipino friends, can translate the song that these graduates were singing in praise of their parents sacrifices for their children who were graduating. I guess to make an effort to learn our national language, that is, TAGALOG. God bless, stay safe, Senior Gabriel ❤❤❤❤❤
I hope your wish come true mr vi3ion that this song will be sing in your graduation day,🙏im proud to be💚.thank you so much for your supporting filipinos musics..ang singers💖😘
I'm studying in that school (New Era University) and I've sang that song once back when I graduated Senior High School and that song we've practiced it atleast a couple of times and it's not emotional really but when the time of graduation comes and we sang it inside the venue, most of my classmates and me myself as well can't even sang any of the lyrics anymore. We're just crying non stop there and the song itself suddenly make sense, we're there not only because we manage to pass our subjects but because our parents sacrifice a lot for us to be there. I remember just laughing while singing it at first cause some of my boys classmates are already crying but at the middle, we're all hand over shoulder already and crying like babies there, that's how powerful that song is everytime it got sang every graduation.
Yes hoping that he forgive them, they both made a mistake,no one can't replace the love of mother and family, hoping for him to open his heart now to forgive and to forget everything what happen...
i cried coz i remember my father na ngayon ay nasa heaven na but luckily my mom still alive she's 90th yrs.old..❤ i wish lord gave her anothe more yrs.extention in her life..❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏
Vi3ion ❤Awit ng Anak .. a song of a child to their parents an acknowledgment of their parents sacrifices to provide them with the best they can to have the best chance in life and now that they’ve grown strong wings to fly a sad realization that their parents have grown older and weaker and this time they the children promise them its their turn to keep them safe and warm in their twilight years always acknowledging their sacrifices with love and gratitude. “ Ina Ama Salamat” We all hope that the child being sang to by his father in Anak by Freddie Aguilar ( the lyrics of which you read from) will someday sing back to their parents the lyrics of the song we just heard and watched .. what a beautiful graduation indeed. 🇵🇭
This is the big difference I’ve noticed between school graduations between the western vs the far eastern countries. In the Philippines, graduation is a huge deal whether it’s an elementary graduation, high school - secondary school here in the US- or college graduation. A good majority of Filipinos are low income families. Parents do not have the social status to impart wealth to the children when they grow old. For most parents, education is the next best thing that they can give. A good education. They believe their children will have a much better future ahead of them that will help to break the cycle of poverty if they can send them to school. So parents work hard to provide not only for their family’s basic needs but finding ways to pay for their education. This is the reason why Filipinos make it a big deal to celebrate every graduation. Every phase is one step closer to reaching that ultimate goal. So when you see graduations like this paying homage to their parents, it’s because they recognized the hardships of their parents that made it possible for them to stand there. It’s really a momentous occasion.
