Fantastic to hear a sensible and coherent speech with some hope and solid ideas. Makes a change from the dystopian muppet show that is the Tory government!
If he didn't speak in NLP, I would give him a go. But there he stands, word games and persuasion tricks. Very little substance other than GDP increase via increasing immigration and supplying new houses to those lucky new fast tracked citizenships.
You carry on living in the past, you'll go far. Corbyn gave us Johnson and everything that followed; you must be delighted with that. Anyway, like they say, you can't educate pork.
@sekwar Like a lot of entrenched Corbyn supporters, just ok with being a protest movement, where as Starmer actually wants to get this incompetent and corrupt Tory mob out. If it wasn't for Starmer we'd be facing another 5 years of Tory cronyism, crumbling infrastructure and nothing working.
@@candykane4665 You are still facing another term of corrupt Tories. Corbyn had the momentum to win, he was driven out by the establishment and Labour centrists, and has subsequently been hounded out of his party for some exercise in political point scoring and reestablishing the status quo. Those centrists who wouldn't hold to nose to support Corbyn, and chose Johnson instead can't expect the left to support Starmer. You get the government you deserve, and for blue Labour that's Johnson, Patel, Braverman and their ilk.
The word is "they're," not "there." "They're" is a contraction for "they are." I will assume that you don't need an explanation for the word "there." In 2014, Boris Johnson, then (Tory) Mayor of London, announced plans for an ultra-low emission zone (ULEZ), which was introduced by his successor Sadiq Khan in April 2019 and applies to more vehicle types, including cars, motorcycles, and vans. Only 5% of vehicles are subject to the ULEZ charge, which aims to reduce respiratory diseases caused by air pollution. Perhaps you'd rather we let our citizens die from lung diseases. The data for outer London (in September 2023) shows that across both inner and outer London, 95% of vehicles overall seen driving in London on an average day now comply with ULEZ emissions standards.

One thing with Starmer he tells the truth more often than any So called tory !!
When you expect professionals to be unprofessional.

Scottish Labour have already suffered due to Starmer’s stance on Gaza; neither will this help: Thatcher is still utterly detested up here.
It is strange when people in england know little about Scottish politics. To hear it's separate, when it's supposed to be the United Kingdom.
I was a big Corbyn supporter. Will never vote for Starrmer.

I won’t vote for Starmer

A man with a fork in a world of soup.
How can labour have the cheek to talk about the cost of living when there the ones robbing motorists with ulez and caz zones

ULEZ was actually twenty years too late - a great measure saving lives, better late than never
Oh yes because who wants clean air. Maybe buy a small car with fewer emissions or is that not what's important?
