The Cairngorm Mountains - fine place to explore at any time, but with some late snow and amazing spring conditions I headed for the Fiacaill Ridge on the Northern Corries for some adventure.....

Loved it, just got home from the Cairngorm's. Stayed in The smugglers hostel.
Nice one Murray, it's a fine scramble, albeit a bit shortlived, you're just getting wired in and boom you top out on the plateau.
I'll need to research the one Cameron mentions there.

Nice one man. You'll need to have a go at Afterthought Arete - it runs up to the plateau from Loch Avon and is probably the classic scramble of the Cairngorms.
Thanks Cameron - its a belter - did it after Pygmy Ridge a few year back around this time of year ( ua-cam.com/video/hVRefKwaufc/v-deo.html ) - what a great place this is :) Enjoying your vlogs - hope all goes well in Perth next week - if I can get back from work I may well try and pop along :)

Excellent video. Ever considered doing a video of The Stuic ridge? It looks interesting, but I think it's often ignored as it's a bit of a plod in.
Hi Alasdair - my first ever Munro was Lochnagar and we went up the Stuic - this was maybe the hook :) might try and head back and make a vlog sometime :)

Hello from a subscriber in the US. Greatly enjoy your videos of gorgeous Scotland. Your drone shots are quite well done. The terrain reminds me of the Presidential range in New Hampshire, in northern New England. In mid-February, I managed to break three ribs & simultaneously contract pneumonia. As you can imagine, I spent quite some time needing to be idle. Your videos offered excellent vicarious hiking which helped prevent me from going entirely stir crazy. Feeling much better now. Murray...you cheat!!! Going up so far on the road. Braw conditions, thankfully you got out of the "gear review" genre ;D...That prow is very like going up to Stuc-a-Chroin and just as scary in those conditions...crampons/no crampons... great footage, pardon the pun with the "sticky" granite.
Great info on the hill, love the drone footage with the signature tune. Fun, Views, great conditions...WooHoo! :D
Photography wise love the first image with all those converging lines.
AND you managed to include a "duff" gear review too...;D

Fantastic Murray. Makes me homesick! I grew up in the shadows of the Cairngorms and spent many a Winter, and Easter, race training up there!
Thought you had been ignoring the Cairngorms, but happy to see you enjoying the Fiacaill. Hope to spend some time up there in the Summer too!

Great video. Me and the family are looking to plan a trip to the Cairngorms and Ben Nevis in the camper van at the end of July........ but the wife and kids are a little nervous about the midges 😬. Are they really that bad? I never see midges in your videos, though you are on top of the mountains.
