    The thing with optics is I reckon if it were used it was only as a preliminary rough guide. Proportions etc would still need altering. I tend to use a very cheap projector, but only to put in the size and relations of the big shapes. It’s not something that you can rely on in place of drawing skills. It’s particularly useful if you require a pose which would put a lot of strain on a model.

    Maestro, ojalá pudiese actualizar más seguido, siempre espero con ansiedad un video suyo al mes, pero comprendo que su tiempo no puede estar tan disponible como nos gustaría a los que seguimos sus lecciones desde acá.     I wonder if you could do a attempt recreate Carravaggio technique of the flesh of boy. In the Book Works in Rome, Technique and style it said that the flesh is painted very thin direct on the ground in contrast to the fruit in the basket?

    Thanks for the work you are doing.
    So, about that basket of fruit, it does not follow the same light narrative as the figure in which case is typical of his style. The contents of the basket do not round as a group, from left to right the values of the fruit so similar from one side of basket to the other and do not depict same lighting as figure.
