Helping people with their stucks is always fun. My favorite was an AWD minivan out on the beach of Corolla NC. Family of two adults, their 3 kids and the grand parents. Stuck in the soft sand so the first thing I do is help them air their tires down to about 18 psi. Everyone is standing by the van as the Dad hops in and tries to drive. Nothing but wheelspin. (I failed to realize they were high centered on a hump in the sand) The grandfather looks at me and said, " Now we're stuck, AND we have flat tires!" I pulled out our strap, tugged the van free and followed them back to the pavement making sure they got out safe.

So much fun to do some recoveries!
I remember me and a friend camping at some beaches or lake beds in Chile, happily running to get our recovery tracks every time we saw someone with the slightest wheelspin in an inappropriate car.
Many many times (when the car was appropriate) it was only a matter of telling them how to engage 4WD or 4WD low, or even shutting the traction control off, or telling them to let go or keep on the gas. Fun times!
I saw at the end that you helped an aussie unstuck, that ford van, that's the aussie and the nordic girl! Isn't it? ha ha

    All the best guys!

That is awesome! Haha yeah, that was the day we met you guys. They got stuck, locked themselves out of their car later, didn't have money for a toll...and then when we saw you was when we weren't sure where they had ended up for the night. Miss you two!

Really enjoying these videos, would be cool to see your list of recommended recovery gear with all of your experience getting out of situations like this and maintaining that minimalist/lightweight mindset...

Love the recoveries, that was an awesome video, brings back memories of all your travels. One criticism that is a pico de gallo not salsa / chile. Nancy can make you a true one!! Haha
