I've started putting my clothes, my cat and my dinner in loot crates and hiding them around the house. Every day is a fun mini game to find the crates and open them and I get small dopamine hits just for putting my underpants on. Hope my cat doesn't suffocate.
Single player games with microtransactions that give you boosts or better armour/gear are pointless. If you want to speed up the single player experience, just go download cheats and hacks instead of spending money to level up faster.
The problem is the people who buy it on consoles cannot do that. Like HORIZON and Witcher such great game and they require no micro transactions. The sad part of this is the stupid reviews compayn wont give them a bad review.
Micro transactions are here to stay, we will see good games ruined and other games not be affected by them but both will have them. For me i stay away from games where you have to spend money after the purchase of the game, in order to progress of win against other players. I dont mind origins and its 40$ season pass personally, it will get me 2 dlc’s wich is about the same cash/content ratio for this 60$ game. All other forms of micro transactions are destroying games. Origins will have cost me a Total of 100$ while many other triple A games these days are shooting for at least double over time.

Edit: the only advantage I see is that gaming console is cheaper relative to a gaming pc setup. Carrying convenience is not as good as a gaming laptop. A freaking PS5 is like 12lbs...and you need a monitor/screen as well if u wanna carry the game console around to use

Mack, I think this game is a masterpiece for its historical accuracy. We all know that assassins used to pay their deities using their gold to unlock mystical gift boxes from the sky that would give them fancy clothing and nice looking weapons. It's also a well known fact that these assassins could learn more quickly from these crates as they contained magical secrets from said deities that allow them to progress quicker. It's all perfectly accurate.
Exactly, I recovered some lost knowledge from the Hall Of Records beneath the Sphinx and found out that back then merchants do sell Heka chests that would respawn everytime it got purchased by a mercenary/assasin back in the ancient times, the chests contents are somehow unknown to even the merchant, and couldn't really open the chest at all until a random guy with weapons and some cloth covering his face could only open it with something called "Real Life Currency" which was money from the 21st centuries wallets.
Great review. Concerning hippos, however, they're actually the deadliest fricking animals in Africa. I'm not joking. They actually open their mouths like they do in this game, and then charge at people, using their huge teeth like horns, and it's essentially like being hit by a charging bull. This usually happens at night when they're returning to the water after grazing out in a field (they do this at night to avoid day's heat), and a person happens to be between them and the water. Hippos just panic and charge. Boom dead. They also fuck up boats passing above them, bite the people who fall off of them, and then drag them underwater to drown them. Furthermore, their skin is so thick not even lions can pierce it with their claws. Hippos are fucking hardcore man.

the xray vision is not simply a tool that makes the game easier, it's contextualized in the game. But if you mind it so much you can disable it in the menu.
You don't know, back then them Egyptians got futuristic technology from their Gods you know, like see through vision and auto locking capabilities and also flying ships that wobbles randomly in the air that could fly higher than any birds in the skies.
Yeah I was thinking of buying this game just for the historical setting. But that disclaimer... holy hell! You know, their "multicultural" disclaimer kind of made sense in the original game, due to it's setting and world events at the time. But this sexual-id/gender/pandering is just completely out of place. I agree, I'm not buying just because of that one line as well.
Are you sure? Apparently it was changed in the last release, syndicate, which I didn't pay any attention to because I wasn't interested in the setting, and has indeed been carried over to Origins as well. As for missing a potentially fantastic gaming experience, the market for escapism is saturated. I don't think I'll regret a choice to spend my time elsewhere... The Egyptian setting and the water tech are the only things that interest me about this, the gameplay looks uninspired and derivative.

TanukiDigital the multicultural bit was in the first AC in 2007 and every game since The series plays around with a lot of cultures and religions, it's there just to make sure no one gets the impression that the apple of Eden being an actual object invented by aliens to control people is some kind of political statement Likewise the gender identitys bit was added in syndicate because it featured a transgender character, and it wouldn't really make much sense to remove it even though origins has nothing to do with that
So I watched this video years ago and I feel like you did origins really dirty. Obviously people can have opinions but it is clear that you havent played much of it. Its an amazing beautiful game and I have not once seen anything about lootcrates or paying to win. That screen you showed where you buy shit I havent seen once and Ive played this for over a year. The music is absolutely fantastic. Although I like the grind I feel like you can do a lot of different things to gain xp so you can do missions. I play with controller but never use the lock on. Only sometimes the game doesnt know what person to hit and slashes the air. The bows are shit because you are using the wrong type of bow and you have to actually pick a bow with a higher lever once you have it. watching this video made me wait with buying so instead of buying 1 AC game for €60 I bought both origins and oddysey for €14 on a mayor discount so thanks for that. But as someone who loves your brutal honesty and rampaging I must say that you really did Origins dirty. And I cant believe that you like oddysey more than origins and didnt even mention the annoying long ass dialogue where you have to pick an anwser and listen to people for 10 minutes or longer
Huh that's funny because if you look at Steam reviews you can see that Shadow of War is 75% liked (rightly so because the game is awesome) and AC is 80% liked. The games are great it just sucks that the publishers are greedy fucks and want to fuck the game up with buyable bullshit...

This game is not built around loot crates at all. You don't need them, at all....This hate is getting ridiculous....I am not supporting this kind of addition to AAA titles, but this game is not built around that system. At all.

I was waiting for this review, because I knew you would make an honest opinion. Having bought the game already, I went through parts and thought...Mack will hate this LOL. I actually didn't mind the side quests, and I hate grind. I found the quests were somewhat interesting as all the quests in an area are related. So you kinda get mini-stories in the side missions. You still have lots of valid arguments regarding that you HAVE to do it though. Completely agree regarding melee combat. It is actually really frustrating, which is, in my opinion, the worst part of this game.
I was a little put off by the grind when I started playing this game, but I realized after a few regions that I don't need to grind all that much; you do not need to do every side quest or clear every bandit camp, army post, cave, or what have you. The only thing I found truly annoying was looking for the carbon crystals you need to improve your gear after a certain number of upgrades to each. The Hidden Ones DLC fixed that right quick by having many chests with 3 each. There is a perk you can get that lets you buy crafting materials from merchants. I beat the game without spending _any_ money on the resource packs in the store. (Not loot crates because nothing is randomized). Dismantling gear is also a great way of getting wood, iron, and copper. The only skins I need to hunt down were the pelts, which were quite easy to do by using Senu to scan out regions packed with predators. I picked the game up on sale for... I think $7.99 USD
When I first saw this WAB in October I was so disappointed. I was yearning for a new Assassins Creed because I hadn't played one since Black Flag. So I sat on the fence until two weeks ago. I had a weak moment and bought the deluxe edition of the game. Oh man, what a game... Game of the year 2017 for sure! At least for me personally. I don't mind the grind, I enjoy it. Side missions - oh yeah can't get enough. I want the game to last a loooong time. Fifty hours in, just hit level 40 (45 is the new max I think), still loving every minute. No regrets. Regularly updated aswell. Microtransactions aren't "intrusive" at all and don't feel any pressure to pay for anything with real money. Runs great on my GTX970 with i7 cpu on high settings (51-60fps at all times).
Couldn't agree more. Better than odyssey imo, which felt much longer and, as a result, more of a grind. I did play this first though, back when ur comment was made. Maybe I should have waited longer before playing odyssey. Alluding to what you said, I was so immersed into the world, the exploration and side quests added to the experience, rather than hampering it. Then again, roaming Ancient Egypt is something I can't get enough of - not for everyone I guess.
The grind on this game really isn't bad compared to most open world RPGs out there. It definitely has bugs and just the idea of microtransactions on a single player game is ridiculous. I understand that gear and level grinds aren't for everyone, but anyone who has enjoyed any MMO won't even blink
I bought this on sale and ended up really enjoying it. It's actually really fast to level up your gear just from the first 3 or 4 zones. Only have to wait to find those crystals for last upgrade or so. The PC controls are horrible though; I use a 360 controller. Also, there's nothing in the microtransactions you need to buy. I have tons of gold and mats from just messing around killing patrols

I can confidently say that THIS assassins creed is the BEST assassins creed in the entire series. Your right, its FUN to play. And most people would get some value. Just stay clear of the micro transactions and theres alot of value to be had. Maybe more so if you wait for the sales.
Drakensang Online (its like Diablo and F2P), if you dont have Premium and die while farming , the whole zone reset and you spawn in town, if you have premium you can spawn in the next cheeckpoint , and you can spawn at the same spot if you pay Andermant (the premium currency ) ,a lot of people invested more than 1000€ in their characters ,some even 10000€....
See this is why I am confused. In Black Flag, it was very similar with the "grind" where you had to get all the stuff to upgrade your ship. I remember a DLC 'time saver' for that game, which I thought was stupid. You are paying to not play the game.
John Hamm Mac would have hated 4, origins is pretty similar to black flag so if you enjoyed that I suggest you look into it, though it is a lot more of an rpg this time as you're upgrading your character rather than your boat
the grind in black flag was fun, go jump on ya ship and go out blow shit up wreck a few ships fuck up a few forts appart from rogue no other ac game has done that
Fair review. If we buy this, it will sned a message that we don't care if triple A titles have pay-to-cheat-towin mechanism in the future games they will release. If we hold our ground and draw the line in the sand and say: 'this is as far as you will go' and show that we MEAN IT by not buying the game, we can hopefully drain the publisher of enough money for them to go back to the way old triple A titles were where skill is a requirement to progresion rather than cheating. Those that are bad at games should just watch a lets play of the game to get hints and tips on how not to suck instead of buying shit. It's only going to get worse from here on out as this becomes normalised. But if it does you can at least spend it on shit that does not have pay-to-cheat-to-win. Instead of whining about the problem and supporting the bad companies with your wallet, do something positive by spending money on companies that are against that system of making money.
just brought for a tenner - dont mind the grind - great fun so far.. loot crates can be easily ignored if your happy to side quest and soak in atmosphere.
Auto health is optional, lockon is optional, no idea what the wallhack is, there are no lootcrates in ACO (crates=/=microtransactions) and it's a fucking message who cares, it doesn't effect the actual game story.
The fps drops are caused by Denuvo DRM protection, allegedly. The game is decrypting the files in real time so it causes almost every CPU to go to near 100% lock all the time, so GTX 1060 gets bottlenecked by i7 6700K@4.6GHz. I guess we will know when the "blag flag edition" of the game comes out soon. :) Cheers

However, what Mack doesn't get is that without piracy, which i ones sold myself when i was a kid, poor countries would never play a single game on any console from PS1 to PS3 and PC of course. Small country and their sell stats are almost a joke to them. Also there was a recent, I think German study, that says piracy does not effect companies profit whatsoever, because people try the game for free, AKA pirate it, then they buy it for real if they like it and finish it. :)

While i do love Mack and his reviews and i tend to agree with almost every single one......i just dont think this one has enough justification to give a thumbs down. He didnt cover any story aspects and he vaguely gave any i formation on characters and the open world. There are bad things in this game, but i think there is more to this ac that makes it more substantial than the others.

YaBoyChenWang well. AC has always been about the story and there was plenty progression to be had there. Not every game needs skill trees and levels to make it interesting.
There is so much historical details in this game, that you can progress without grinding by just naturally exploring and learning things. Fun fact : the devs took a bet, and designed a room in one of the pyramids, after an historian's theory, that has actually been discovered after the game's release... that's awesome. I didn't like the combat at first, but after getting used to it, it felt such an improvement above the formers AC, definately not what described in this video... spam and you'll die. I only ever played AC Black Fag, and even tho I swore never to buy Ubishit anymore, I bought Origins because it was the same team which developed Black Fag. Also, never bought a crate in this game, never will, and it doesn't come in the way of my experience.
Through the whole video I was hoping for at least some sort of rant about the loot crates. I wasn't disappointed. Can't wait for that special video on the matter.
Mack, I just finished this game and you’re 1000% correct. THE GRIND in this game broke apart all the fun, I was really enjoying all the main missions until the level jump was so high I had to do side missions which are so horribly mind numbingly boring, that Ubisoft should have offered a free lobotomy to all players just to get through how repetitive the side missions are. Everything is a fucking outpost. Plus the main story drags on and on and on to the point where I was hoping and praying that it would be over. Yep, that’s a typical Ubisoft game for ya.

Like you say in the end: I am one of those people liking this grinding. Going each place. Doing each mission. And I have to say: They have done a great job. What I really do is wait long enough gor this kind of games. Patched out for bugs. All DLC in one gold version. And on a decent cheap price. Because I have to admit: For the full price, game and all DLC full price,...? Would have cost a real lot 5 years ago. But now I am really enjoying it. For a bargain price. If you like wide open world Indiana Jones "let's discover something new" feel, this is the game to go. But love your reviews. Really do.

How did they ruin Wolfenstein 2? It has great gunplay, a good story that concludes on the acts from the previous game and expands them. The main villain is great, the setting is awesome, and all of the characters established in the previous one are expanded upon. It is a great satire if anything on the current events. Both sides are portrayed in a such extreme that they are both complaining. The so-called "alt-right" is crying that it's is a typical anti-white game because you are killing Nazis (in a Wolfenstein game might I add) and the left is complaining that the minorities are portrayed in a stereotypical way. As someone who played all Wolfenstein games released on PC, RTCW being my favorite FPS of all time and on the political level right-leaning and very anti SJW I say this game is one of the better ones that I have played and finished in 2017.

There's only like 5 hours of actual gameplay and most of it is a massive downgrade from the 1st game and its prequel, The Old Blood. My pros and cons with this game is Pros - Side Quests are interesting - huge map - good graphics - climbing is smooth - archery is fun Cons - bugs - microtransactions - grinding for crafting materials - not fully optimised get fps drops on pc and console.
Not to mention the game has VMProtect that skyrockets your CPU usage, which is probable why your frames keep dropping. It's basicly DRM upon DRM. They use VMProtect on Denuvo, it registers every move you make in the game so it relaunches/recalibrates Denuvo EVERY TIME YOU MOVE! I haven't bought a single Ubisoft game the last few years and this game isn't going to change my mind about how they treat their consumers.
I played this a few months later in early 2018, and I didn't perceive any grind. I played it while ignoring the Helix Credits as I have done since they first added them, I believe during the Assassin's Creed 2 trilogy.
The in-game boxes for the gold hes referring to while yes you can buy gold dont need to tho as i have just farmed gators lions and bears oh my to sell their hides and skins for gold and have upgraded everything and still have almost 10k gold as of now. So it is possible to make money at maxed out everything with ease without spending a cent using real cash like its always been in any ac game lmao

The intro is there so people would not rage about the historical mumbo-jumbo, the first one was about the Crusades, in a time where the entire Islam/Christianity conflict really started to take its toll in the news (Gaza, Israel, Iraq, Iran etc.) It is not to show us that they are better and that we should be like them....it is there to show SJW and no liffers that the game is fictional and inspired by historical events, not set out to show one group in better light than the other....

Hippos just panic and charge. Boom dead.
They also fuck up boats passing above them, bite the people who fall off of them, and then drag them underwater to drown them. Furthermore, their skin is so thick not even lions can pierce it with their claws.

Apparently it was changed in the last release, syndicate, which I didn't pay any attention to because I wasn't interested in the setting, and has indeed been carried over to Origins as well. As for missing a potentially fantastic gaming experience, the market for escapism is saturated. I don't think I'll regret a choice to spend my time elsewhere... The Egyptian setting and the water tech are the only things that interest me about this, the gameplay looks uninspired and derivative.

So I watched this video years ago and I feel like you did origins really dirty. Obviously people can have opinions but it is clear that you havent played much of it. Its an amazing beautiful game and I have not once seen anything about lootcrates or paying to win. That screen you showed where you buy shit I havent seen once and Ive played this for over a year. The music is absolutely fantastic. Although I like the grind I feel like you can do a lot of different things to gain xp so you can do missions. I play with controller but never use the lock on. Only sometimes the game doesnt know what person to hit and slashes the air. The bows are shit because you are using the wrong type of bow and you have to actually pick a bow with a higher lever once you have it. watching this video made me wait with buying so instead of buying 1 AC game for €60 I bought both origins and oddysey for €14 on a mayor discount so thanks for that. But as someone who loves your brutal honesty and rampaging I must say that you really did Origins dirty. And I cant believe that you like oddysey more than origins and didnt even mention the annoying long ass dialogue where you have to pick an anwser and listen to people for 10 minutes or longer

I was waiting for this review, because I knew you would make an honest opinion. Having bought the game already, I went through parts and thought...Mack will hate this LOL. I actually didn't mind the side quests, and I hate grind. I found the quests were somewhat interesting as all the quests in an area are related. So you kinda get mini-stories in the side missions. You still have lots of valid arguments regarding that you HAVE to do it though.
Completely agree regarding melee combat. It is actually really frustrating, which is, in my opinion, the worst part of this game.

I was a little put off by the grind when I started playing this game, but I realized after a few regions that I don't need to grind all that much; you do not need to do every side quest or clear every bandit camp, army post, cave, or what have you. The only thing I found truly annoying was looking for the carbon crystals you need to improve your gear after a certain number of upgrades to each. The Hidden Ones DLC fixed that right quick by having many chests with 3 each. There is a perk you can get that lets you buy crafting materials from merchants. I beat the game without spending _any_ money on the resource packs in the store. (Not loot crates because nothing is randomized). Dismantling gear is also a great way of getting wood, iron, and copper. The only skins I need to hunt down were the pelts, which were quite easy to do by using Senu to scan out regions packed with predators. I picked the game up on sale for... I think $7.99 USD
When I first saw this WAB in October I was so disappointed. I was yearning for a new Assassins Creed because I hadn't played one since Black Flag. So I sat on the fence until two weeks ago. I had a weak moment and bought the deluxe edition of the game. Oh man, what a game... Game of the year 2017 for sure! At least for me personally. I don't mind the grind, I enjoy it. Side missions - oh yeah can't get enough. I want the game to last a loooong time. Fifty hours in, just hit level 40 (45 is the new max I think), still loving every minute. No regrets. Regularly updated aswell. Microtransactions aren't "intrusive" at all and don't feel any pressure to pay for anything with real money. Runs great on my GTX970 with i7 cpu on high settings (51-60fps at all times).
Couldn't agree more. Better than odyssey imo, which felt much longer and, as a result, more of a grind. I did play this first though, back when ur comment was made. Maybe I should have waited longer before playing odyssey. Alluding to what you said, I was so immersed into the world, the exploration and side quests added to the experience, rather than hampering it. Then again, roaming Ancient Egypt is something I can't get enough of - not for everyone I guess.
The grind on this game really isn't bad compared to most open world RPGs out there. It definitely has bugs and just the idea of microtransactions on a single player game is ridiculous. I understand that gear and level grinds aren't for everyone, but anyone who has enjoyed any MMO won't even blink
I bought this on sale and ended up really enjoying it. It's actually really fast to level up your gear just from the first 3 or 4 zones. Only have to wait to find those crystals for last upgrade or so. The PC controls are horrible though; I use a 360 controller.
Also, there's nothing in the microtransactions you need to buy. I have tons of gold and mats from just messing around killing patrols

I can confidently say that THIS assassins creed is the BEST assassins creed in the entire series. Your right, its FUN to play. And most people would get some value. Just stay clear of the micro transactions and theres alot of value to be had. Maybe more so if you wait for the sales.

Infestation: Survivor Stories is literally that. You have to wait 3 hours to respawn or buy a new life.

See this is why I am confused. In Black Flag, it was very similar with the "grind" where you had to get all the stuff to upgrade your ship. I remember a DLC 'time saver' for that game, which I thought was stupid. You are paying to not play the game.

Fair review. If we buy this, it will sned a message that we don't care if triple A titles have pay-to-cheat-towin mechanism in the future games they will release. If we hold our ground and draw the line in the sand and say: 'this is as far as you will go' and show that we MEAN IT by not buying the game, we can hopefully drain the publisher of enough money for them to go back to the way old triple A titles were where skill is a requirement to progresion rather than cheating. Those that are bad at games should just watch a lets play of the game to get hints and tips on how not to suck instead of buying shit. It's only going to get worse from here on out as this becomes normalised. But if it does you can at least spend it on shit that does not have pay-to-cheat-to-win. Instead of whining about the problem and supporting the bad companies with your wallet, do something positive by spending money on companies that are against that system of making money.

Auto health is optional, lockon is optional, no idea what the wallhack is, there are no lootcrates in ACO (crates=/=microtransactions) and it's a fucking message who cares, it doesn't effect the actual game story.

The fps drops are caused by Denuvo DRM protection, allegedly. The game is decrypting the files in real time so it causes almost every CPU to go to near 100% lock all the time, so GTX 1060 gets bottlenecked by i7 6700K@4.6GHz. I guess we will know when the "blag flag edition" of the game comes out soon. :)

While i do love Mack and his reviews and i tend to agree with almost every single one......i just dont think this one has enough justification to give a thumbs down. He didnt cover any story aspects and he vaguely gave any i formation on characters and the open world. There are bad things in this game, but i think there is more to this ac that makes it more substantial than the others.

There is so much historical details in this game, that you can progress without grinding by just naturally exploring and learning things. Fun fact : the devs took a bet, and designed a room in one of the pyramids, after an historian's theory, that has actually been discovered after the game's release... that's awesome.
I didn't like the combat at first, but after getting used to it, it felt such an improvement above the formers AC, definately not what described in this video... spam and you'll die.
I only ever played AC Black Fag, and even tho I swore never to buy Ubishit anymore, I bought Origins because it was the same team which developed Black Fag. Also, never bought a crate in this game, never will, and it doesn't come in the way of my experience.

Mack, I just finished this game and you’re 1000% correct. THE GRIND in this game broke apart all the fun, I was really enjoying all the main missions until the level jump was so high I had to do side missions which are so horribly mind numbingly boring, that Ubisoft should have offered a free lobotomy to all players just to get through how repetitive the side missions are. Everything is a fucking outpost. Plus the main story drags on and on and on to the point where I was hoping and praying that it would be over. Yep, that’s a typical Ubisoft game for ya.

Like you say in the end: I am one of those people liking this grinding. Going each place. Doing each mission. And I have to say: They have done a great job. What I really do is wait long enough gor this kind of games. Patched out for bugs. All DLC in one gold version. And on a decent cheap price. Because I have to admit: For the full price, game and all DLC full price,...? Would have cost a real lot 5 years ago. But now I am really enjoying it. For a bargain price. If you like wide open world Indiana Jones "let's discover something new" feel, this is the game to go. But love your reviews. Really do.

So, SJWs ruined Wolfenstein The New Colossus and Assassin's Creed Origins, not worth a buy. Wolfenstein The New Order/The Old Blood and Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, worth a buy.
How did they ruin Wolfenstein 2? It has great gunplay, a good story that concludes on the acts from the previous game and expands them. The main villain is great, the setting is awesome, and all of the characters established in the previous one are expanded upon. It is a great satire if anything on the current events. Both sides are portrayed in a such extreme that they are both complaining. The so-called "alt-right" is crying that it's is a typical anti-white game because you are killing Nazis (in a Wolfenstein game might I add) and the left is complaining that the minorities are portrayed in a stereotypical way. As someone who played all Wolfenstein games released on PC, RTCW being my favorite FPS of all time and on the political level right-leaning and very anti SJW I say this game is one of the better ones that I have played and finished in 2017.

It's not just the leftist pandering on display in Wolfenstein The New Colossus, it's a disappointing follow up to my game of the year for 2014, Wolfenstein The New Order. There's only like 5 hours of actual gameplay and most of it is a massive downgrade from the 1st game and its prequel, The Old Blood. This is what happens when you prioritize politics over making a great movie or game. I played this a few months later in early 2018, and I didn't perceive any grind. I played it while ignoring the Helix Credits as I have done since they first added them, I believe during the Assassin's Creed 2 trilogy.
Sounds to me that Mack had a lot more grind than other players to do, I've heard it's pretty easy to level up, don't even need to use microtransitions

The in-game boxes for the gold hes referring to while yes you can buy gold dont need to tho as i have just farmed gators lions and bears oh my to sell their hides and skins for gold and have upgraded everything and still have almost 10k gold as of now. So it is possible to make money at maxed out everything with ease without spending a cent using real cash like its always been in any ac game lmao

The fact that you guys are ignoring that the lootboxes have legendary stuffs in it, from the 'Start' is really just mind boggling stupid, I definitely understand that you guys can just grind or play the game normally and gain everything sure, but what if there's some random guy who is busy and couldn't play as much and then buys these lootcrates that encourages the business act of implementing microtransaction lootboxes? You who are not concerned of this are the reason why they are in the game nowadays. I'm not even joking around, not gonna stand by doing nothing when it's clearly microtransactions/lootboxes ruins games and are ANTI-CONSUMER in reality.

just didnt feel like an ac game to me it was a pirate game and shouldnt of been called assassins creed i mean there are decent moments but overall it fell short for me but then again ac2 is one of my favourite games of all time

The intro is there so people would not rage about the historical mumbo-jumbo, the first one was about the Crusades, in a time where the entire Islam/Christianity conflict really started to take its toll in the news (Gaza, Israel, Iraq, Iran etc.) It is not to show us that they are better and that we should be like them....it is there to show SJW and no liffers that the game is fictional and inspired by historical events, not set out to show one group in better light than the other....
