Pretty much yeah the average Wehrmacht soldier in France had around a 5:1 K/D rate (probably at least 4 times that if they were a machinegunner at Normandy beach) so they were not to be taken lightly. It's easy to forget that when you are gunning them down by the thousands in games like this.

The real scary part is that some people actually had to sit down and brain storm the idea of having guns that only fire Square icon ammo and guns that only fire stripe icon ammo and then need to be fired at enemies with corresponding icons on their health bar in order to do good damage. I mean how the hell did that get passed as a good idea in a fast paced FPS like this and then if that was not bad enough, lets add levels and put high level enemies in low level maps that can one shot you. I mean yeah I took the piss out of the political decisions in this game for a laugh but my oath, them gun play decisions are diabolical and totally ruined the game, it's Wolfenstein by name only.
They were too busy with thinking out the political stuff and how to make you play as degenerates and make the youngsters feel like its normal to behave like this. Then they slapped some gameplay over it and instead of making interesting unique levels(which would take effort), they added this shite rpg system, which was much easier to implement while ticking the box of adding "depth" to the game.

Gillettes recent "It was worth it." comment gives insight in to the mindset of these corporations, or more specifically the people who own them. Gillette lost billions of dollars this past year, yet claimed it was worth it. What kind of company claims losing money is worth it? Unless of course, what they traded for was worth more value in their eyes. The corporate share-holders have an agenda, and they are fine sacrificing billions of dollars to push it. And to them it doesn't matter if a company goes broke. They can just sell their shares before it tanks and buy more in a new one. Or in the case of the big three gaming publishers, buy up new studios.

This'll probably become a time capsule of some of the biggest missteps in game design in the 2010s
It's actually a lot of fun though.
you are assuming people will even remember this garbage 20 years down the road
They should've made it so that playing single player was a completely different experience. They should've followed on the theme from previous games, where whichever daughter you picked to play as (one would be the stealthy assassin, the other a gung-ho tank), you'd see your sister killed near the start of the game.
From there you'd have a rip-roaring tale of revenge with the surviving daughter tearing Nazi ass while being able to dive into the loss and grief of trying to find her dad, producing some powerful moments as she tries to tries to rescue him from the bowels of the Nazi machine. Her mother would be on the radio, struggling not to act like her mother while being stern in giving her mission objectives and telling her what she has to do all the time.
Co-op should've been either fellow resistance characters or even the hallucination of your sister joining in the fight. Your character would only realise they were alone during cutscenes that would change after finishing the level in co-op, like the twist in Sixth Sense or something. The player character doesn't realise how potent the Jewish super-suit makes them, so they believe their sister must have been there to help them gun down a train station full of Nazis.
So much potential, squandered.

I tried watching a walkthrough by TheRadBrad, after a couple of consecutive "fuck yeah, dude!" I simply had to stop.
This is what happens when the guy desperately trying to be funny even though he isn't gets into a position where he writes the plot.
He's the most overhyped casual YT gamer. Nice enough guy, but every game is equally amazing in his book.
I'd say it's a lot more like a bunch of old-out-of-touch-corporate-men (and wamen! REPECT WAMEN) got together in a board room and came up with the character personalities and jokes because it's what they thought "the kids like these days". Some of the most cringey stuff I've seen in a game since that Need For Speed game that used real actors in video cut scenes (Mack did a review on it btw, it's hilarious check it out).

You know, it's funny. For so long it seemed like gaming was separated from government involvement. Now, because publishers got too greedy, they need to intervene with loot crates and gambling. Because feminism is also an arm of the government, it's also another way they have infiltrated the hobby. One of my fav FPS ever was the first vietcong. That 6th level I believe was super immersive and you could lose yourself in a forest full of boobytraps. One wrong step and you could lose the pointman and be lost in a freaking forest with no way of knowing where the hell you were. That was fantastic game design imho. A super open map that felt claustrophobic. One wrong step and you would have Bamboo sticking out of your chest. We would go to our mate's house and do challenges where we would take his character tp a random place in the forest and drop him there and then he had to find his way to the end of the level... we would watch eachother play as we did it and it was amazing!!! First game i ever put the difficulty all the way to the max! Want to know where you are shooting? aim down the sights. want to know where you are going? open the paper map and compass. How many rounds of ammo do you have left after this last firefight? No idea but I regret having reloaded that one time when my clip still had like 10 bullets in it because now i am down to 2 clips of ammo and one of them I am pretty sure is almost out!

Game devs should keep politics out of this space, we live in such a politically atomized time now its more important then ever for games to be Apolitical. If they wrote actual strong female characters, we wouldn't mind. Instead they make female characters act like strong men and nobody buys into it. A woman can be strong in a feminine way (see Lara Croft, Daenerys Targaryen, etc). A strong woman is never aggressive.
