Hi sir, i am from Bangladesh ,i really like all your videos,i would love to.But i would be grateful if you could tell me about the physiographic Regions of the world. ♥
sir last year UGC asked form factor where basin area was denoted by A and maximum basin length by L .. and the answer was A/L^2 how can we define this relation .. using density or any other way ?
Form factor is defined as the ratio of basin area to square of the basin length. It is a dimensionless number. The value of form factor would always be less than 0.754 (for a perfectly circular watershed). Smaller the value of form factor, more elongated will be the watershed. The watershed with high form factors have high peak flows of shorter duration, whereas elongated watershed with low form factor ranges from 0.54 indicating them to be elongated in shape and flow for longer duration. And Yes the formula is right Area/Length (square). Keep learning..best wishes 🌱
