I legitimately am on the verge of tears over Rosa’s death. I can’t believe it, I legitimately can’t. I don’t know if I’m back here to pretend she’s not, or to remind myself of the greatness of her life when she was here… maybe both.
I've already quite a few times. I've never seen her in person, but it really hurts knowing that we're not gonna be able to celebrate such an amazing otter like her again. Raising 15 pups is absolutely wild. The way we all donated and came together to support not only her, but the aquarium as well always had me touched. I hope as a community, we can still donate for the otters this year, or maybe Dougdoug will find a charity with another animal, if not this year, next year.
Rosa made me, and countless others, southern sea otter fans for life. We will never forget her or her impact on marine conservation. Thank you, Rosa. Rest easy 🦦💙

I watch the live feed daily and totally enjoy seeing all of them swimming around, sleeping and eating. I am halfway around the world yet seeing Rosa and the other otters makes me feel closer to them.
