Boccherini's music is fun and yet so light you can bring his music even in a place that does not tolerate too loud or too lively music and yet still have fun.
I am not a musician but I enjoyed the excellent performance of the Members of the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra . I am particularly “hooked on” the second movement (Allegro Maestoso). This piece is based on Boccherini’s Quintet 270, written in 1774 or 1775. There is one (or two??) melodic fragments (two bars) that were “borrowed” by Mozart: they appear in Mozart’s Violin Concerto no 4 -K 218 -1st mov. (1778) and in Serenata Noturna no 6 - K 239 -1st mov. (1776). These fragments are repeated insistently by Mozart in the cited movements. It sounds like a bird calling or a naïve folk song. Does anybody know the origin of these melodic fragments? Was Mozart citing Boccherini?

Thanks for the comment! I was not aware of Mozart borrowing from Boccherini but it's certainly possible.
MrCellissimo Thank you so much for sharing your videos! They are amazing and I enjoyed very much.
Sueli Lara Sória Thank you.
I wonder if the cello part in the first Allegro comes out of that quintet. It is clear that Boccherini wrote that part for himself.
Great music! Yes, outstanding! The guitar is not a concert guitar, can not hear.
