    When dealing with Chinese martial arts, the idea of authenticity is subjective. Remember, when people used their martial arts regularly for fighting off bandits etc they were much more "alive" and so evolved fairly quickly based on the experiences of the practitioners. Therefore you wouldn't expect to find a system that's exactly the same as it was practised 300 years ago.

    What an AWESOME treat! In my high school days I used to dream about what Grandmaster Doc Fai Wong looked like performing this set! God bless you for posting this!

    @syphen888 sadly until recently martial arts were not considered a suitable subject for academics, so little of Kung Fu history is verifiable before the early-mid 1800s. According to the legend of the Shaolin 5 animals Lu Feng created 72 techniques though, so I don't know where that 6 postures came from.

    @syphen888 You need to understand the nature of Southern Shaolin systems. Even if they did truly originate at shaolin (a contentious issue, and also holds true for many northern "shaolin" systems. Many maintain that much of the shaolin myth was smokescreen and propaganda for the triads), they were separated from it for centuries and therefore developed separately.
