- We were at the beach last week and we had a blast! The Ocean is amazingly beautiful and there are so many fun things to do at Garden City Beach. Corie got the surprise of her lifetime and we were proud to be part of it.

This was near where my husband and I would stay.
Just above you at Surfside.
It was still Myrtle Beach, but we were right on the City limits, at Ocean Lakes
Camp ground. It's been years since I've been back 💔. We loved the area.
Great memories of us and the family.
We were married in Horry Co. June 6th 1977.
My husband has passed on now, but seeing your videos makes me want to visit again 🙂

That is so cool. I live just inland from Myrtle Beach. I moved hear from Kentucky 5 years ago. My kids all coming down today with my grandkids. Looks like your beach trip was a blast! God moved right on time for y’all to meet our Pastor & family. We really enjoy your channel & music! If y’all get the chance to visit the Gulf Coast in Sarasota Florida, don’t forget to check out “Turtle Beach”. There are beautiful shells over the entire beach. There are some the size of your fist and bigger! Back in December we went and visited our son, and brought back many shells, including a large starfish and sand dollars. Awesome video thanks for sharing it with us. I love time stamp 16:52 it's so beautiful with the outstanding colors of the sun just setting there on top of the horizon. Only God the great almighty Creator can paint us a picture that pretty for us to enjoy. I wish I knew of a way to save this pic. right here at this time stamp then print it out on some high end stock paper and frame it. But this old biker just ain't that computer smart to know how to do stuff like that... LOL...
So happy y'all had a grand time there. The best part that brought a memory of my mother was when you said that you were going to do something to them but you didn't know what was but when you know what your going to do you tell them and put a hurt on them... LOL... That's what my mother would say when I got to far out of line and she was at her wits end... LOL. usually she'd take me on a whiling expedition. She'd grab the razor strap and she'd go to whiling on me with it...

Little late - but congratulations first on your engagement and then on your wedding. I'm slowly going back and watching all of the previous videos and your mothers as well. Love me some country. As a side note - a bit of surprise in this video. I'm from Texas but I know that area very well. My daughter was stationed just down Hwy 17 in Georgetown for two years when she was in the Coast Guard. And we now have a training site there for the Murrells Inlet Garden City Fire Department. We teach the PWC Surf Rescue classes right there where you parked to go to the beach. Small World.
I absolutely love Katie. Both you girls are AWESOME, but that Katie....She's as we say here in Eastern KY, She's sump'n else. I just love your videos.

I live at the beach on the west coast and the shells look different here. I like to collect the hag stones. I love to think of the tenacity of the little creatures that made the holes in the stones, each one different. I imagine Katie would enjoy them since she is a rock girl like me :)
I told Katie to look them up! And we always wanted to visit the West Coast!
Corie and Katie: You two seem like you'd be fun to hang out with! I'll have to remember to check out Drunken Jack's if I'm ever in Garden City Beach. Neat story about meeting the Homesteading Pastor and his family at the Cracker Barrel and feeling as if you already knew them after seeing their videos.

The seashells you found in the opening minutes of the video were not only interesting, but some of them were amazingly colorful. Good job, shell hunters. Of course I had to stop and read the interesting stories of Goat Island and The Legend of Drunken Jack, unintentionally left behind by Edward Teach and his pirate crew, before continuing on and hearing Katie tell the stories. Although I enjoyed the entire video, the strolling minstrel segment is my favorite. No surprise there. Good luck with snow globe number three, Corie. Thanks, big time, for including the bloopers. They're always good! One thing I hoped to see, but wasn't included, is the U-Haul truck you rented to carry all of your gear, equipment, and supplies from Brasstown to the beach. Best guess, it's at least a 24-footer. ;^)

It is so nice to see you all enjoy your vaca at the beach! I live about 7miles from the beach and I have not been there at all this year!!! Sad...I love the beach. My favorite beach is in St. Lucie...Kimberly Bergalis she died of aids which a dentist infected her with. It is beautiful and peaceful. I love to look for blue sea glass. Congratulations on your engagement! One place you should try and get to is the outer banks where the wild horses are. We rented a house on the beach and the horses came and walked around under the house. You are not allowed to feed or bother them in anywaybut you know people they just don't listen.

I love looking for sea glass! I have actually been to the outer banks and been really close to where you are talking about. It was a school and you had to choose to see the horses and look for seashells so of course Katie and I picked the seashells 😂
I recently found ya'll and Subscribed right away. I have to say though that I think Katie is so Adorable and loved her cute beach outfits. She's got style and her accent had me from the first video.

The beach looked beautiful
Drunken Jacks story reminds of the story of Alexander Selkirk who was a Scottish sailor and real life castaway in 1704 to 1709 on a remote island off the coast of Chile. He survived until his rescue by eating the goats that inhabited the island. Crazy true story that was probably the inspiration for the fictional Robinson Caruso.
When you were talking about hunting shells, it brought back sweet memories of my mother. When my sister and I were little (1960s) we when to Atlantic Beach NC for vacation one summer. My mom dug up a garbage bag full of beach sand and brought it home! We were camping, and everytime we left the beach she would scoop some sand&shells in my sand bucket and pour it into a garbage bag at the campsite. For over a week our yard in the Appalachian mountains of Virginia, smelled like the ocean as she sifted through that sand for pretty shells. For a little while each day she would get a dishpan of water and dump some sand into it and pick out the shells. 🐚👀

The beach is so.. romantic and my husband, our daughter, and me have spent many, many weekend trip's at the beach. We found cozy little restaurant's. I did make a wonderful spaghetti dinner for us once, with candle's.❤❤ Special little outfit's to wear, and incredible moment's and time together.. at the beach.😊😊 I'm about 3 year's late seeing this video. Garden City and Merrills Inlet have been the only place my famiiy goes for 35+ years. If you have a little time on your hands next beach trip, go to Huntington State Park. Lots of sea life and alligators. Congrats Corie on your engagement
