Meditation and identifying thought loops, categorizing a thought loop as a thought loop, and it goes away. But what helped me most from this video is definitely GOAL.
Sleep & diet is probably the most powerful. PS: How your meditation exactly looks like? Sitting, standing, lying? With music or without? Any affirmation or question thinking?
You may never know how important this video was to me. My no3 is completely F----d because the person Im living with beats me down mentally. Putting goals on hold to move out already. You're such a gem Sam. Thanks.
Great list Sam. I found that Sleep, Equation, and Battle vs Ware were the most key ideas from this video to unfuck my brain. Would you make a video about Goal Setting and Macro and Micro thinking? Thanks
I think he's already explained that in his new years resolution video. It's his war map calendar thing. Could never think of enough stuff to fill it out. How to make swift decisions would be awesome tho.

Sam, I found you this January and you have helped make this the best year Ive had so far. You were the catalyst for actually being able to change my life. Thank you so much.
I just cant believe how different and clear you deliver your message man. So many You Tubers that talk business never talk about what you are talking about. Amazing message and i look forward to your webinar!
After hearing you speak about how a little randomness is vital to having a non fucked brain, it hit me that constantly keeping an open mind and constantly learning something new can help maintain that randomness. I recently learned to maximize my day for learning something new, so my question is: with all that your occupied with where does learning fit in your equation ? (Whats the most efficient way to learn and acquire knowledge?)
#8 helped me the most because it's something that I feel like I was on the path to realizing, but hearing it stated explicitly helped me skip all the hours of introspection. I think the biggest challenge I'm facing though is different than most other people's. I'm trying to figure out how to explain my visions of the future to other people when I've been keeping it to myself all my life. The hard part is finding the right questions to ask myself about the problem.
First of all, I love you for who you are. The title is true. Secondly, this is my favorite video of yours so far because it illustrates the pathway to clarity of perception. Not to mention that your video publishing date corresponds to a planetary transit that in Astrology is said to provide deep insight and clarity after a long period of "retrograde" or chaotic energy. Excited to see more about Mindset. The End.
Taking notes of your thoughts, things your brain fixate on and later analysing them is great way to organist your brain. It also makes space for some creative processes to spontaneously emerge once the brain is decluttered from waste.
Battle vs Wars helped me the most as lately, I was struggling understanding if I really love what I do. There was also this belief that got me which is that you either love what you do or you don't. It made my mind and vision very unclear for about a month now. It's a really long process to get where I want and full of bumps that I'd rather not do but now I'm confident it will be worth it when I get to the level I want. Thanks a lot, Sam!
The big epiphany here Sam was at the end when summarizing. You said in the Battles vs Wars. You said the macro we're going to love but micro not so much. We have to be unhappy to be happy. I've been trying to feel good all the time and wondering why it's hard to get the tasks I hate done. Trying to get myself to love those tasks instead of hating them. It's a waste of time. Just accept the principle of got to be unhappy to be happy. 2 sides of every coin. If there were no sadness how would we know what happiness feels like. Ding! Thank you man.
Thank you Sam. I am watching all of your videos day after day in a moment in which I am deciding about my future, building a business, getting my life on track. Everything you say to me is putting me on a mindset that I would have never been able to get without your insights, without your clear thinking, without your voice every day telling me that it's all a big equation and I am responsible to control the variables (and the constants). Thank you Sam, I don't know if you ever read this, but you are making a difference in my life, and I only read dumb comments down this video, that doesn't give justice to the huge amount of value you are actually creating. Also, you make me smile a lot. That line about the cascade of shitness in the society was just amazing :) You know I would love to ask you something. What if you have 2 goals and the environment they require for them to be accomplished is different? What if I want to build a business, so I choose to move to New York (where I am), but then I also want to build a family and I suddenly realize that New York will never be the right environment to have a healthy and stable relationship? What if the 2 main goals you have in life requires 2 different environments? How do you solve this shit?
I think you take time and where you are in your life and then decide what makes sense now. Raising a family first when you are not accomplished will make you regret it while building a business first and then family will make you a better parent
"Make a map of the people you hangout with" Crazy how he just slid that in there- GAME CHANGER. Better than a MySpace style top 5 friends list, really showed me who my time was spent around and the pros/cons/why's of how it came to be that way. This in itself could be a whole video. KILLER CONTENT!
Your comment on diet and waves of emotion after your cheat day resonates with me, deeply. I had countless short bouts of depression like waves the day after binge eating on a cheat day. Not surprised to hear I'm not alone. Diet is so important.
As a man 30 years in mainland China and 19 years in Canada, I love the environment I stay now. Just like your move from New Zealand to US. Absolutely brilliant, mate. You covered so many things here, and all of them are important to un-fucking our brains. Diet, sleep, and exercise are great starting points... The foundation for clarity.
Sam, your content has been life-changing for me. One thing that really helped me was the 'scientific method' which you teach in Consulting Accelerator as well. Aside from business, this helped me overcome a chronic injury that I dealt with for years... I had a sports related neck injury and it eventually got so bad that I couldn't even sit at my computer chair for an hour. When things looked hopeless, I just kept changing one variable. Nothing worked at first, but as long as I had one thing I hadn't tried, I stayed hopeful. Eventually I sniped the underlying cause and learned an extremely valuable life lesson that I'll have with me forever. As for a QUESTION: I'd love to know what your favourite books are! I do the same thing with my book collection. I keep a stack of my 10 favourite and every night I go and open to a random page and read a highlight or two. The speed at which this has helped me learn is borderline superhuman.
"1 day turns into 10 years" lmao. I had to do 20 years in a rabbit hole just to define and discover how I am going to manifest my goal! I am going to meet u by 2022... That's a short term goal of mine. Great shit Sam, this is exactly where I am btw
Sir let me tell u you are THE GOD ,the way u have changed my life nobody has. Lots of love and respect from India. Pls make more of such videos on how to train our mind and be the best in our niche
Sam! Hi I am from the CA. Sam I don’t know if I should tell you even what that program did to me! I once written you in the messenger. Told you about the University and what that did to me, and you are the teacher who brought me back to my life! Witch I never had! Because I had a depression of 30 years!!! And know I am running my own business! I am happy and grateful all the time. And I live my dream life. I am chilling all day on the beach. Seeing friends non stop. And doing my business the way I want! It fits me perfectly, because I manage it to be that way. I am writing you this in front of all others so that it is documented... You helped me fix my brain. I am new now! I watched only the first two weeks!!!!!!!!! This in the time of one year I guess, you can look it up... You are my teacher! And I am yours. There is only one thing I want you to know or be. Stay as neutral as you are, but stay forever as part of the good (I know I don’t need to say this to you, because you know...)
Concise and 47mins long, that's how you know it's a quality video. Would love a video discussing how to prioritise certain aspects in business. Things that are larger than the RICE project scoring is useful for. Example: you choosing to focus on hiring for a period of time at the expense of ads and product development.
it motivates me that you hated talking on the phone and all that stuff and said to yourself that it was building.....and you got motivated... i hate talking on the phone, have it on airplane mode 24/7 but we really have to do some things that we dislike to progress and grow.
You are correct when you mention the negative aspects of an improper environment. I worked for Disney for about 6 months during their college program while also running an online business. Couldn't focus at all the whole time I was there cause my roommates were always up every single night playing games and watching adult swim while getting high on weed.
Hey Sam, if you're reading this - Just want to let you know that you're a huge inspiration to me and a lot of other people grinding for a better life. I'd love to see a video possibly directed to younger people getting into/ already in business. I'm trying to start up my own things but there's a lot I don't know because of my age and lack of experience. Thanks.
Liam! Do not sell yourself short. Your age does not matter. What matters most is that you already know you need to learn more and seem to have a good sense of logic. This means you will succeed!
Content is brilliant as usual. Would love to see a video on practical steps to establishing and mostly scaling a business (digital marketing agency). Thanks for the content
I don't know if the US/Oceania has the same practice, but in Europe we have the "healthy lifestyle" lessons at school with exams, that teach children most of the stuff that is in this video. That is mandatory, in my opinion, to teach this stuff early on. Thank you for your video!
Wow man you are awesome for using your time to help so many lost people in this world. The whole equation section helped give me so much perspective on why I am so frustrated with achieving my goals.
I've got kind of lost after achieving my goal. I went from 0 to 20k+ in 7 months doing business online (my goal was 10k in 6 months). I see it would be way better to think of a long term goal, but I'm having a really hard time to find and reason in this long period of time. How could I make a better picture of what I want to become in 10 - 20 years? Thanks a lot for all the effective content you constantly put out, especially the last videos on personal growth!
I loved this! I'm really resonating with the gate keeper analogy. If I think of a video idea, I will share it. Thank you for these, really great content.
1. How do you set goals and long term ones 2. Why does action paralysis happen and why does starting in entrepreneurship feel so difficult 3.How do I get rid of self doubt and 100% eventually get results no matter how long it takes
You’re going in a good direction with these videos. This was extremely specific and helpful for me. Honestly it’s all mindset that stops me so directly focusing on the awareness of different variables to follow order or chaos is what I needed to frame.
What does it take to be extremely successful and become superbly great at what you do? What do you need to have, what type of thinking would you need to adopt, how successful people see things, deal with things and how does their thinking differ compared to the norm, what traits do they have that everybody else don't have, what habits, strengths or weakness do they have or don't have, how success and the journey towards that realistically look like or feel like, etc. Something like this would be great!
Hi Sam, I love your videos but I am not sure if I agree with the message of your last video. I am sure you have read "So good they can't ignore you" by Cal Newport. And while your message was "Do what you love" and "Follow your passion" his message is "You do not have to follow your passion, become very good at one thing and it will turn into your passion". This advice is actually the total opposite of yours and in my opinion this advice is better because often the current passions of unsuccesful people are not really the basis for a great business or they do not even have a real passion. Would like to hear your comments on this. However, thanks for making so many great videos on youtube.
Yes Sam Can you please do a video response to this comment? Cal Newport is an author I love and I am having conflicts regarding building "Career Capital" to love what you do versus "following a passion". This has been a huge problem for me as I can't decide to continue in my career in finance versus following my passion of health, fitness & life coaching.
You misunderstood his message. Sam didn't say "follow your passion". He said to identify what you're passionate in -- meaning the topics, subjects, books, and things that you like. Then to identify the interest "groups" within that passion. For example, if you like to listen to music (passion or interest), you can identify different groups of people such as music composers, singer, audio engineers, producers, studio owners, ect.. Then you "talk" to these groups of people and find out what they want or what their problem is. Once you know their problem, you will have your "niche" selected and your business idea. Sam will never tell you to follow your passion. He wants you to solve a specific problem for a specific market.
People have trouble finding what they are passionate about. This makes it tough, finding the bridge that takes them to leveraging it for the purpose of their perceived daily successes. People that have not yet found something to become great at so that they can discover passion in unexpected places also have the EXACT same challenge. In the end it is about becoming good at something that then gives you momentum velocity which in time, produces tremendous results. The right darts used on the right dart board. Felt tip darts on a wooden board do not get it done. The act of aiming and throwing is not enough.
Great advice for an optimum life. No. 8 is a big one for staying the course. As someone else said, I would definitely include exercise in the list of physical prerequisites.
Everyone talks about grinding everyday but I would love for you to talk about breaks and vacations and how to take one, I know some people take breaks by watching tv but Thts not “taking a break”
To be honest bro !Quintin Johnson guys like Sam and the people he relates too are really the kind of people who doesn’t need “BREAK” in all humility am replying you feel!... when you “LOVE “ what you do you will NEVER ever need a “BREAK” even if they’d do i think it will be more of a “ALONE TIME WRITING “ their next Game Plan
As soon as I saw your notification I wore my thinking cap.. you're such a blessing sam!! loved the video...can you talk about the best way to enter the market with a solution to a problem that isn't perceived yet but is clearly a problem...
This video is bloody amazing, you go into depths about everything. You say it very clearly and is easy to understand. I've got a small lawn and landscaping business on Waiheke island. Without a doubt this video will help me get rid of the dead horses in my life, Haha. Thanks Sam, I've been following you for just under 2 years now. Cheers Jeremy
Sam, I’m LOVING your last two videos including this one. So much value, inspiration and truth. THANK YOU. I would love for you to make a video about HOW to get clear on your goal. How do you pair it down when you feel like you have too many goals. Life is not one dimensional and there are so many departments of where to set intention and thrive in. Values and knowing what matters most, what your priorities are is key, but I would love to hear your perspective, insights and take on it. More on goal clarity would be amazing.
Loved the part about iterating variables. I've started to really look critically at my goal setting and I wrote down "don't move the goal posts during the day". Sometimes we just have to hold true to shit until we can see what's working, if we're in constant flux we just end up in fucked-brain because we haven't set our orientation mechanisms up for tracking progression/regression. I really appreciate these vids. Thanks Sam
Did this video help cleanup your thinking? What method helped you the most? Speak to me.

Things that are larger than the RICE project scoring is useful for. Example: you choosing to focus on hiring for a period of time at the expense of ads and product development.
Omg. The value in this video is insane. Love it! Thank you!
UA-cam recommended is really coming for me.
I really hope this series doesn't end anytime soon
Logic, reason and clarity. Brilliant
it motivates me that you hated talking on the phone and all that stuff and said to yourself that it was building.....and you got motivated... i hate talking on the phone, have it on airplane mode 24/7 but we really have to do some things that we dislike to progress and grow.
You are correct when you mention the negative aspects of an improper environment. I worked for Disney for about 6 months during their college program while also running an online business. Couldn't focus at all the whole time I was there cause my roommates were always up every single night playing games and watching adult swim while getting high on weed.
Great video sam, nice to have you back. Would love some content on the subconscious
@@DailyDrivenTesla Thank you for the kind words, it means a lot!
Content is brilliant as usual. Would love to see a video on practical steps to establishing and mostly scaling a business (digital marketing agency). Thanks for the content
The right thought process is what is behind scaling any business including SMMA!
Your free content is way too valuable so it makes people wonder how valuable your paid content is. Great way to bring in customers to your business
Thank you so much Sam for releasing all of these videos. You've had a huge impact on my thinking
I don't know if the US/Oceania has the same practice, but in Europe we have the "healthy lifestyle" lessons at school with exams, that teach children most of the stuff that is in this video. That is mandatory, in my opinion, to teach this stuff early on. Thank you for your video!
Yeap that's how brain is currently. It's horrible. It's all the crap, environment, foods, etc.
FOCUS ON ONE THING!
Thanks you so much
Wow man you are awesome for using your time to help so many lost people in this world.
The whole equation section helped give me so much perspective on why I am so frustrated with achieving my goals.
Comparing what you describe to my recent actions highlights to me that i'm moving towards increasing order.
Thanks Sam.
What business did you do?
I loved this! I'm really resonating with the gate keeper analogy.
If I think of a video idea, I will share it. Thank you for these, really great content.
The title alone convinces me Sam's been talking to my friends. Great content!
1. How do you set goals and long term ones
2. Why does action paralysis happen and why does starting in entrepreneurship feel so difficult
3.How do I get rid of self doubt and 100% eventually get results no matter how long it takes
You’re going in a good direction with these videos. This was extremely specific and helpful for me. Honestly it’s all mindset that stops me so directly focusing on the awareness of different variables to follow order or chaos is what I needed to frame.
Thank you Sam for making this video, your videos serve as guiding light for many
Man Thank you for this
What does it take to be extremely successful and become superbly great at what you do?
What do you need to have, what type of thinking would you need to adopt, how successful people see things, deal with things and how does their thinking differ compared to the norm, what traits do they have that everybody else don't have, what habits, strengths or weakness do they have or don't have, how success and the journey towards that realistically look like or feel like, etc.
Something like this would be great!
That actually looks like a piece of art
Amazing Video Sam! Unbelievably helpful content! Thank you man!
@@NigeloWalker why can you not do both ie bring them both together and have a theme to your overall mission?
You could watch Cal on Impact Theory, he discussed this exact topic with Tom there.
You are of a very good mindset Judy. Too many people do not have a clue how important that and exercise really is. I wish you great things, take care
The physical form of a pure state of consciousness driven towards a clear objective. Thanks for the video Sam 🖖
There are a lot of people getting misdiagnosed with mental diseases. And the only things that has to be fixed are explained in this video
Sam comes into the room
Sam sees a messy whiteboard
Sam proceeds to make a video about lifestyle changes, using the messy whiteboard as a metaphor
Sam, that’s so brilliant and life-changing, yet simple and effective thoughts. Thanks a lot!
Amazing. Thank you Sam for sharing!
Would love to see more on how to pick your niche. Thank you so much for your content.
Best motivational vid on UA-cam ngl. Cheers Sam!
Thanks Sam
