Mick Mars has done ALL the attacking in this case, let us be perfectly clear! Not one single member has said ANYTHING disrespectful to or about Mick Mars. Not one word or phrase. All of it has been from Mars. And before you whine about Nikki said ‘propping him up’, well they were. Just like every member had been propped up by the others at one time or another. That is what bands do. But Mick, going public with his grievances, has done one thing, and one thing only. Turned a lot of the fans against Motley. Well, not me. Mick is in the wrong here and he SHOULD HAVE KEPT THIS PRIVATE. But no! He is out to maliciously discredit Nikki, Tommy and Vince. Fine. Then in my opinion, let them walk. Let Mick have Motley while they go and create new music with John 5. That is what Mick has done. Destroyed the brand he spent 4 decades building. Genius move, Mars, genius.
Seen that document years ago, Mick had bad health but he chugged along. I was never a Motley fan but I respect that.

Not this time. This particular situation the 7.5% offered to Mick was incredibly fair. They are old men and have families. When you factor in having to pay the replacement for Mick the difference between 25% and 7.5% is framed properly. All that said Nikki has been a jerk to Mick for so long about other stuff we all just assume it’s a screw over like a bunch of other stuff.

Mars was the only one that wasn’t (apparently) an absolute diva. From a musicianship standpoint, Mick was always the heart of that band.
I’ll take old Crue any day. Honestly, back in the day all these guys were critical and seemed unstoppable but damn, time can do a number on people.
I hope Mick stays healthy and continues to play!

I remember the first time. I saw the Crue here in my home town and i was blown away with Micks playing that guitar sounded awesome he is one hell of a guitar player.🤘
He was awesome on the Dr Feelgood tour and they sounded great. But they should hang it up now.

Was in the crowd close to the front directly in front of Mick on the Feelgood tour. Was part of the younger generation into GnR, Faster Pussycat and many of this crowd in the UK took Hanoi Rocks as their band so Vince wasn't overly popular, I wasn't the biggest fan and only went because I knew the place would be full of women. Mick totally bowled me over and it was just his playing because even then the guy couldn't move too much, no cheap theatrics from Mick. Heard his solo single yesterday and it just reminded me why I was bowled over all those years ago.
Yea I saw them live once a few years back. I’m not a huge fan and don’t really know their own catalog but I was completely drawn to mick the whole show. He blew me away.

Is it? Well, he has written, with the exception of Smoking in the Boys Room, every hit that Mötley Crüe has had. Every single one has his name listed as ‘composer’. Go ahead and look it up. I can wait. He owned 70% of the publishing rights. That means that 70% of the songs were his creation. This is undisputed by his band members, by the way. He took a band no one wanted and that had massive opposition from record companies, radio stations, even MTV all the way to the top and kept them there for a solid decade. Few bands faced the criticism and hate that Mötley did. But did Nikki let them stop him? Nope. He told them all to suck his dick. Many times. He took on his own record company and got ownership of the masters. Something unheard of in popular music. Yet he also managed to get sober, be a good father, help other addicts and runaway kids, become a four time bestselling author, put out excellent music with a second band Sixx:AM, and is a very talented photographer. I’d say he has a lot to be proud of.

Nikki is a poser. It's that simple. His bass playing was sub par at best and now he's not even playing at all. I love the first 4 or 5 albums but everything after Dr Feelgood is a joke. The best thing Mötley Crüe could do is really retire. Vince sounds awful. They're faking it on stage. So they're robbing their fans. But they won't get my money.
Went to a Stadium Tour show and Mick Mars was awesome! I am glad I was able to see the original members of Motley Crue play together one last time.

As a member of AA and NA for over 20 year's. I could actually Imagine that the only thing worse than a Nikki Six strungout on heiron, is a totally sober and stright Nikki Six.

Nikki seems to have what they call in the industry LSD(LeadSingerDisease) even though he is the bassist and song writer but ALL the guys put in their dues! I don’t understand why ALL 4 guys can’t (evenly) contribute to the overall band? All 4 members should get 25% overall, period! Yes - I had the same problem from my local guitar store where I thought I'd had a weekend job and with their links with a local recording studio they provided an awful backing band to make my guitars sound bad and recorded everything dry (with no fx) to suggest my finger work wasn't good so here's my finger work (that was it, the finger work, if you don't get straight away it will be the delay i'm using on this post). Nikki Sixx patronising speech at THE END concert not to give up (and smoke marijuana) is being ignored in favour of not giving up

I love the story of Frank Ferranno being told to pick up a bass because theyre easy to play and the guy will show him. He's broke and knows guitars are expensive. So he brings an empty guitar case into a music store and asks for an application. When the shop guy goes to get one he grabs the 1st guitar he sees and sticks it in the case. He fills out the app and leaves. He goes to the guy and exitedly tells him what he just did. The guy opens the case and its a Nylon stringed Flamenco accoustic guitar.
He closed the case and tells Frank "Ever though about taking up the drums?"

Why would Nikki be loyal? He has struggled with loyalty in his own life. A father that walked out on him, a mother that chose drugs and men over him, etc. The guy has had issues his entire life. Rather than be completely cured he focuses on his self in inflicted pain (drug overdose, dying, etc). If he truly looked into healing himself he'd realize he is still a broken man who is turning into exactly what he had despised as the pain in his life.
I love Mick. I'm not even an 80s glam fan. Mick is 1 of my heroes though. I love John 5 but I can't have no reason to hear new music
I saw the Crue in concert in my hometown; and Nikki stopped the show and berated some female fan(s) who were something like 20-30 seats back. Not sure they women were doing anything wrong. He's written a lot of great Crue songs, but I have little respect for him for going after Mick. It's very telling when so many people have had issues with him.

Mick Mars was Motley Crue. While the other three were wearing mascara, prancing around the stage in pink bandanas, and wearing women's ankle boots, Mick was staying true to his Metal roots. The other three could fall off the edge of the world and wouldn't be missed.

we opened up for LA guns up here in Canada British Columbia Vancouver about 15 years ago they kicked ass as they always do and they were super nice guys shared all their alcohol with us no attitude just really cool old stories no bullshit just rock 'n' roll all night long they were on LA Sunset strip way before most of those bands anyways very cool dudes would love to do it again LA guns I am talking about not Motley

The Crue was my favorite 80s hairband. They were badass and they put on a killer show live (at least they did when I saw them on the Dr. Feel Good tour) but Mick Mars was the driving force musically behind the band and always has been. John 5 is a good guitarist but without Mick, it ain't the Crue, and the way Nikki and Vince and Tommy are treating him is a total dick move.
I love all the motiey crue albums but my faveroute has to be the motiey crue record with John C sure it’s not doctor feel good or theatre of pain or anything like that but personaly I think it’s a fantastic record it’s just a shame the album came out at the wrong time

Mick is one of the very best .. Sixx plays bass. Enough said. Not to dis all bass players. As a lead guitarist myself. If sure most players feel the same way about a bassist ... They really don't do much but you have to have them to make the sound the bands looking for. But to compare a lead to a bass is like night and day the amount of time put into your craft.
I saw BULLETBOYS 3 times back in their day and Crue 3 times in their day and BULLETBOYS were far superior talent-wise. I always thought Crue shoulda hired Marq Torien. Then I heard that Marq auditioned a couple times, but didn't get the job. Have you heard this guy sing?! Nikki and Tommy shoulda been on their knees with some keys to a Lambo and his own tour bus to get somebody that can sing in the shower better than Vince ever could in the studio!
I'm sure there's not a lot going on here, these guys are friends, bandmates, know how to make music, and money. However... Having listened to "Nikki" on his radio show many many times, he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, never was. He got luckly, right place right time, etc. Good for him, still like the guy.

How many times are we going to see and hear the same story? It’s posted one day ago, but I’ve seen four other videos stating the exact same information a week or so ago.
Well, the word around L.A. years ago, it was alleged that mick and vince were the only 2 original members on the studio recordings.. idk how true that is, but adter hearing Micks accusations and seeing clips all over the internet.. it seems there might be more truth to the alleged notion that Tommy and Nikki were replaced by studio musicians than maybe first thought.

Simple… He’s an actor!! A poser who acts the part of a musician/rock star. He owes all of his success to that one trick.
I think his uncle was an executive with Capitol Records (?) and his mom was a singer, so it could be his connections made it happen. He fit the suit, didn't need the musical skill/talent. Manufactured for 1980s success. Some people say that he may not be a good musician but writes great songs.... but how do we know he actually wrote them? Some people also say they think the stories in his books were made up and the books themselves were ghost-written.
He had a good guitar player in Mick Mars , and a drummer that was also good . By himself Sixx would have been lost musically .
And then Greg Leon never looked back and became fabulously rich and famous... in Oppositeland. In Realityland, he made the worst move in rock history.

Not that these aren't valid reasons to dislike Nikki but, I don't know, I think the band member (Vince Neil) who got another muisican killed as a result of a drunk driving accident and has apparently never apologized for (or even talked about, considering I can't find a video or article on it) deserves that title a little more. Nikki just comes off as an egotistical jerk.
Mick should hire guys from a Crue tribute band and name it Micks Crue
John is such a better vocalist than Vince, it's unfortunate that didn't work out.
