That’s the great American pit bull terrier, specifically Garners Spike blood, through Santos. Spike produced himself through his offspring and it still carries on today. Bindi would be a good candidate to mate.
19:00 When Joe asks Tag multiple times to "bring it here" and she doesn't understand what is asked of her, Bindi heard what Joe wanted and immediately got the rat. Not only did she picked up the rat Tag dropped, Bindi already knew where the rat needs to be, in the bucket and drops it in. This is why Joe is so impressed with Bindi, as she instinctively knows the task without Joe having to ask or give commands to do said task. That's what I've been saying about Bindi as a thinking dog.
In all fairness, Bindi is quite a bit ahead of Tag in training. But I get the sense that she is more focused and driven than Tag, who has a more relaxed attitude.
@@anna9072 "In all fairness, Bindi is quite a bit ahead of Tag in training." Tag is still a puppy and has a lot to learn from all her team mates, but of course Bindi has much more experience in all areas. My comment was to highlight Bindi's uncanny ability and instinctive behavior in processing Joe's command/s and acting on it, not to compare their skills. Dogs don't fully understand human language, but rather associate the sound/s of our words to a specific action we ask of them to perform. And for Bindi to put those two together and immediately jump into action is quite amazing to witness.
Thats one of the reasons joe chose her Her prey drive and being a female she looks to the human for instructions instead of going balls out (no pun intended well maybe 😂) after the prey
@@ragheadand420roll "being a female she looks to the human for instructions instead of going balls out" That has nothing to do with the sex of an animal, but more so with the individual(dog). A dog(regardless of sex) can be trained to perform specific tasks if you put in the time and effort and will follow your commands. Not all dogs are made equal and some perform certain tasks/jobs better than others, again, regardless of their sex. And hence certain breeds are more sought after for specific jobs. Trainers usually look for behaviors, talents, skills and other abilities above sex when picking a new dog. One of Joe's main requirements when picking a new dog is that they will follow him into any terrain without hesitating and be able to think and overcome obstacles during that process. Depending on the trainer and the task they require the dog/s to perform, the sex of a dog can come into play, like in security work for example, where males are usually chosen due to them being more aggressive and bigger in size.
I’m always worried that they will hurt themselves on sharp metal or nails. However they never seems to happen.I love how they all have their role to play.Absolutely amazing crew
Yeah... My dog cuts his pad/paw sometimes just chasing a ball on whatever... But these are working dogs so their paws are much stronger, and the dogs in general.
I love how all the dog are having time of their lives, literally doing what they love for a living. So well mannered and listen extremely well, as most of your animals do. Keep up the great content. Could we get more of the trifecta bird of prey, mink, and dog?
The rats had a little while to recover, the piles are excellent homes for them, they got plenty of food still. I'd hope to see at least another 1,000+ The dogs are obviously on it! Bindi is amazing, she's zoned in.
That sound you make for dogs "ksksks", we did the same in our family. We used to graze cows. When the cow wandered off the road into the grain field, we bait the dog to get her back on the trail. Love from Poland❤
Man I thought it had been a while since I had one of your videos suggested. glad to see Youve found a way to monetize your content outside if youtube, theyve made it hard to want to continue using this platform but you deserve all the support for the awesome content you make. UA-cam must really sympathize with the rats.
Boss definitely sent Bindi to you. She’s amazing. I love seeing working Pitbulls. A true testament to how wonderful this breed is when they’re trained, bred right, and worked well.
That's an awesome dog! I think Boss's record for doing that was 4 rats. It really takes an exceptional dog to catch multiple rats like you are describing!!! I think Bindi will eventually do that, as she's really getting good at taking multiples.
I miss my dog every time i watch you mate. I had good times ratting with my pitter ... now im stuck Vole'n and Mousing the property with my Cats lol we may not get hundreds but we have done so well that its hard now to find a single one :) Bless you lot. Cheers
Boss was the best. Glad to see Bindi has learned some of the same things. For the clients it must be such a surprise how many rats get removed and at the same time a relief.
It’s amazing the dogs don’t injure themselves more. They are so intent on getting the rats. They just dive right into piles of wood and scrap metal… They love their job
Boss(R.I.P) would be proud of how Bindi has matured and developed her skills. A lot of what Boss does in the previous ratting vids can be seen and echoed in Bindi. I would even go as far as saying that Bindi is a thinking dog(evident in Boss and Sherni(R.I.P) as well), a trait not found in many dogs.
Most dogs are not bright. They act on instinct and usually that instinct is "FOOD". However, not Bindi. Amazing little dog. Clearly, very intelligent and a joy to watch.
bindi is so smart. it surprises me how she unstands the assignment so well. when tag did not understanding what "bring it here" means, bindi goes and grabs it and puts it in the bucket.
That's because Joe trained Bindi extensively to do that, there are vids of this training if you haven't seen it. Although, not all dogs are made equal, Bindi is quite intelligent and at times seems to think like a human.
9:16-9:22 was the best I've seen from Tag so far. That's very similar to a traditional sprint Boss would have done before quickly snatching and hitting the brakes.
There was somewhat recently published study of different animal sounds played through a speaker in south african watering hole for animals. Birds for control, lions and other such things did not get big reactions from animals but human sounds played for animals got them to bolt off, specially rhinos and elephants. Human ingenuity to plan things to go their way is extremely powerful. Joseph alone would be struggling, but he has stacked the odds in his favor so heavily though the years and repetition that it's a pleasure to behold.
Your dogs are so well trained, some newbies always learning... Luv the minks as well! The one thing that bothers me most on the farm jobs is the nails sticking out of the old boards and the sharp corners/edges on the metal siding. The dogs could easily run into these and injure themselves. Not that it's happened yet? ...but I fear for that. (Good luck on all your future jobs!)
I'm glad that Bindi can step up and catch multiple rats like that. That was one of Boss' strengths, so it's good you still have a dog that can fill that role. She may not be as fast as he was, but her efficiency is wonderful. Are you hoping that Tag becomes your fast lurcher?
In my roof insulation i got a 3 long year batle problem of Martus foina. I need Bindi or the best mink from you Joseph, love you from the Dutch lowlands.❤
Yayyy Taggy Girl!!! She soccer kicked that one rat right back to herself!! That was awesome Joe!! Can't say enough about O'l Bendi !! She's definitely Top G for ya right now !! They are all so good!! Never see them argue or snap @ each other. They all get along so well !!
Cameraman, bles your heart, you are trying. We are hear to see the mink man and all his beautiful dogs working. When you point your finger towards a rat, you are in the shot. When you voice your opinion, you drowned out the stars of the show. How many times do you go to the movies and see or hear the cameraman. Joseph has worked very hard to create what he has and we really appreciate when the operator of the camera does so as a professional.
My girl is nowhere near a terrier but from what I know she's half lab, bit of cocker spaniel and rest is mutt, but she started showing me where mice, rats and minks hide in our yard. I'm proud to say she did catch 3 mice, she was never trained for it, she just has a huge pray drive for small, furry, fast creatures 😂
Boss was always my favourite dog to watch work, I miss him RIP. I'm guessing 500-750 rats this time around. I know he's not your dog but Leroy is fun to watch work, his own audio grab is hilarious. Watching your efforts from Australia 🇦🇺.
I guess 750+ ! You really dented the rats last year so it may take a while. I wish Boss was here to really show his stuff, but maybe he can give pointers from rainbow bridge!
had an staffordshire bullterirer ! They said they been used for Ratting as sport in the old times ?still some working game genes in him hunt anything if i let him !! but a little teddy bear with other dogs my kids !!!
I had to go back to the video editor and slow it down frame by frame. A rat jumped out and Tag stepped right on it with her back foot, mortally wounding it so it rolled around on the ground once she took her foot off of it. I'm going to have to show that Easter Egg in a different video!
Bindi is a couple levels above the other dogs. You can see her thinking ahead not just chasing the rats once one is seen or heard.
She learned from the best, Boss.
That’s the great American pit bull terrier, specifically Garners Spike blood, through Santos. Spike produced himself through his offspring and it still carries on today.

Typical working bull terrier intelligence off the scale respect
She also never goes after a rat that another dog has or is after. She’s a great dog with excellent training, as well.
Super working dog, doing what she was bred for x
Bindi putting it in the bucket for tag like come on man there’s loads more let’s all move on 🤣🤣🤣
I'm surprised more people aren't commenting on that part! It's my favorite part of the entire video! LOL

That was awesome. Bindi is a professional 😂
Your dogs absolutely love their job! Bindi is my favorite. She always seems to wag her tail after she hands off the dead rat to you. ❤
Bindi is doing more thinking than 80% of my coworkers 🤣
Laughed wayyyyy too hard at this 😂😂
Based on productivity and smarts…bindi needs a raise😉
Bindi is proof that the female wage gap is a myth work hard ladies and you can do the same 😂😂😂
When Joe catches a rat by hand: “That’s a good boy!”

Tag seems to be developing nicely.
Tag your it 😂😂
We never allowed trash piles like this on our Farm. Old Buildings no longer used got demolished.
I’m glad because that farm is a mess. Letting it build up makes it take longer to clean it up when u finally have too. 🤦🏾♀️ what type of farmer are u
@@cherrelleg8276 some just get too old
I worry about them getting cut on all that metal ... Great vid as usual ... Thx🐀
God bless you, Joseph Carter 🙏 ❤️
So glad they had an Excavator this time!
Me too!!!
Tag is "catching on" to the game. Love your videos Joseph, keep the coming.

PP: Joseph, I so look forward to these, wish I could afford to follow more. My favourite is Bindi, but watching, I think Tag is going to you proud.
Boss definitely sent Bindi to you. She’s amazing. I love seeing working Pitbulls. A true testament to how wonderful this breed is when they’re trained, bred right, and worked well.
My dad had a mutt type dog that was a really good ratter, once caught three rats at once that had all ran in different directions.

I love the way Bindi realised very early not to fight the other dogs for rats but to cignore t hemm and look for her own.
Boss was the best. Glad to see Bindi has learned some of the same things.

15:25 award for longest consecutive rat chase nominee.
He said crunch it quit playing with it, it bites back 😂 love ur videos man
The one that kept getting away and you just grab it and say "Screw you guys" 🤣💀👏👏👏 I totally laughed out loud 😂
