      I agree, the mountains were very beautiful, definitely a change from the flat landscape of Texas that I'm used to

    This year I was with a German travel group to the big BigBoy race in Salt Lake City. With the Frontrunner we went to Provo to visit the Heber Valley Railroad and two times there and back we used the FrontRunner to Odgen because of the BigBoy and because we found a pub where there was a good black beer ;)
    Fast and comfortable and not far from our hotel.

    Love the footage! I have a question for you. I'm trying to get some footage of the frontrunner to use in a few small UA-cam ads. I came across your footage and feel like you have some real amazing shots of Frontrunner! So I was wondering if I could use some of your shots from this video? Looking forward to your response.

      They blow the horn only when a crossing gate isn't working

      @@20PINKluvrhaha I happened to be on the cab car co-drivers side and there was a car off-roading around the Provo area, before provo city when it’s around nothing, and the horn was blasted haha

    There's something I don't understand about this rail system: How come the trains never blow their horns?

    • @TexasTrainProductions
      @TexasTrainProductions  5 років тому +3

      Nearly the entire system travels through residential areas and to reduce the impact on nearby homes engineers aren't required to blow the horn at railroad crossings. They still do it when passing a stationary freight train or if there is any kind of obstruction on the track.

      Quiet Zones. This allows for operating with just using the bell. If there is a stopped train on an adjacent track, work crews near the alignment, or any type of emergency situation the horn is used. It greatly cuts down on the noise around neighborhoods and reduces the potential for people to become complacent at the crossings.

      I was frustrated with quiet zones, my mom and grandma don't like quiet zones. I'm from Decatur, IL, and I was glad they're keeping the horns, because it keeps everyone safe.

    i was taking pics of the trax, but the cops came up to me and wrote down their my personal info on their notes and required my ID card. Have u ever had this kind of experience? And how to you cope with it?

    • @TexasTrainProductions

      I had two officers tell me I wasn’t allowed to film with a tripod on the station platforms. Other than that I’ve had no issue.

    • @앙도시철띠
      @앙도시철띠 3 роки тому

      Texas Trains well I had one officer telling me to stop taking photos because the trax facility is a secure zone(?) and it's dangerous. Regarding him taking my personal info on his notes, perhaps he assumed I was some sort of Chinese spy or sth? Although I'm South Korean

      I’ve had UTA officers threaten to arrest me, and charge me with trespassing for photographing Frontrunner, and Trax trains while on station platforms. They’ve said it’s illegal to do so, but UTA themselves have stated otherwise. I would suggest staying away from any platforms because UTA officers don’t really have a say when you’re not on their property.

    Here is a good alternate view of what it looks like from your 0:30 to 0:55 time point.
