It is a pleasure to learn about such a legendary master!
this was a memoral concert...
meola had an aproximation to flamenco but its not pure...but he know passion and it is greate.
something that seems to have no sense and at the same time makes complete sense is confused and wonderful
This whole concert is amazing. Friday Night in San Francisco. The old video had more songs that the album but it's all worth listening to over and over.
Yeah I'm looking forward to hearing more from that for sure!!! Such an incredible legend I'm enjoying learning about him!
Al Di Meola is one of the best guiarists ever.
All 3 of them are. That’s kinda the point 🙄
IMO, Al is the greatest jazz/rock guitarist of his time. His shredding on electric is just as impressive.
grandes los tres, saludos y a la espera de ver algo mas de Vicente Amigo, saludos y gracias.
that was really awesome! It's fantastic the atmosphere they create in that moment, how well they complement each other with such great talent, unbelievable! Thanks for these kind of reacts, i love it!
Couldn't agree more! Thank you I really appreciate it!
They were also good friends, Al and John miss Paco so much.
The 3 Tenors of the guitar👍
I'm sending you greetings from Berlin again... I'm excited about the video you shared with us, but I'm even more excited about the way music from all over the world can influence us in a positive way and how enthusiastically you talk about it . Music is for the soul. I'm Spanish and my mother comes from Andalusia...I grew up with flamenco as a child and it has had a huge influence on my life. Please be sure to keep it up and share all these amazing artists with us.
Paco is the only one who doesn't use a pick to play the strings. I've had this album since the 80s. At that time, it was considered monstrous by the guitarist community...
The only one that what?! 😆
only him, all the other flamenco players and classical guitar players, just a small bunch of people 🤦
@@JulioLeonFandinho in this trio of course...

OK then, sorry for being such a smartass 😆
@@JulioLeonFandinho 👋👍
Hope the next you would react to is Monsteria De Sal, where Paco push the fretboard/left hand to its ultimate level

SABICAS Reaction!!

Thank you from Spain for your respect shown to one of the greatest artists our country has ever produced. He was born and raised in a humble family and his father took him out of the school at a very early age, but turned him into the genius he became. He never studied music and for this reason I think that the video that I recommended to you is special , so he had to prepare himself to perform it. Thank you again for your respect and your great content.
Paco de Lucía - Concierto de Aranjuez -> ua-cam.com/video/RX1JhYkLxrs/v-deo.html
Amigo necesitas escuchar La Barrosa (live in America/1993)
Thank you for the suggestion I really appreciate it and I will have to check that out asap!!!
And, did you know that Paco never took music classes, he played from hearing...
Apparently Paco did finally start learning later in life, especially after he tackled Rodrigo's Concerto de Aranjuez. He would begin to use music books when he had questions or needed explanations about certain notes. But yes he was pretty much the guitarist who listened and just figured it out.
Paco de lucia - Labarrosa next?
When two jazz fusions join a z classical master. Have you seen McLaughlin’s take on traditional Indian music with Shakti?
No I havent but I am looking forward to hearing and learning a lot more about him!
@@TheKillogicEffect Originslly from Yorkshire, played in R&B and jazz bands in the 69s, played with Miles Davis for a while and formed the legendary Mahavishnu Orchestra in 1971. Di Meola was the guitarist in Chick Corea’s Return to Forever in the 70s
Certainly it felt like a jam session. I would think they had an harmony, rehearsed a little together, and jumped into it trusting each one would do their part and bring something original to the plate.
Let me insist on the band Triana. It was a progressive rock band with strong flamenco influence. Their first hit "Abre la Puerta" (Open the door) was widely acclaimed in Spain (back in 1975!)
Paco learned alot from those two, we cant say they too could learn from paco...but they liked him, accepted him and enjoyed him.
The main theme here is two simple tunes one from paco's Rio ancho, and one from Miola's Med summerdance, put into jazzy ornimentations... and the whole play is improvisatiinal and each of them go out from home, too far that the audience would believe they cant bring it back home, yet they easily do.

they just need the guitar pick to play the guitar as Paco's level
Viva España!
@@oscarmeneurubio3330 yeah they are kings in their own styles, yet the style Paco is playing belongs to a more restricted and sophisticated art.
😊👍👍👍👌
