Two of many two stroke legends... All you need now to complete your 80's two-stroke collection are the YAMAHA RD 350LC1, 1983-86 RD/RZ350 LC2 31K ( YPVS ), HONDA NS400R... Please, whatever you do, do not sell them... Those are a collector's dream... Over here in South Africa the RD350 LC1 is extremely scarce/rare and if you'd be able to find one which would be at least near 100% original nick or restored it's not even worth purchasing it coz it's severely overpriced due to its rarety, the earliest ( 83-86) YPVS model is so extremely rare over here that the guys who are fortunate enough to own one regardless whether it's stock or not are not at all interested in selling... And even if they would, it's really not worth buying coz it's way too expensive - with the price tag on them you could buy a brand new Japanese 1000cc Superbike with extras! ... Safe riding... If am not wrong, the 125 single cylinder, 250 was twin?And yes, i remember they had a 3 cylinder but i guess you are right it was 400cc. I really admire your collection of the rg and rd 500. I have baby rg, the 250 from 84. Almost hopless to find the rg 500 here for sale!

I've got the RG500 so I'm biased. The RG was lighter and more powerful, but the RD was the better looking bike. If I had my way I'd have both, plus a Kawasaki H1 and a H2. I'd also have an RGV250 and a TZ. Guess I'm a sucker for street strokers.
Nice my 2 favourite smoking legends. If you left these bikes out on a street in the U.K. they would be stollen in no time. you had no locks, chains or alarms just a cover. bike theft must be low where you are cause I wouldn’t risk this if I was you. They are worth a lot. If I was you I would chain them together with the thickest chain and get a ground anchor. Better to be safe than sorry. I’ve had mine stollen due to very little security but never again.
Take off the air filter, put ziegler from 210 * to 230 * and Exhausts with small final diameter as the Arrows. And believe me you will think that 500cc became 750cc!! Τhe difference was unbelievable!!!!
