    Mix voice, blended voice, mid voice....absolutely my weakest link. I started out learning bel canto in my youth, which does blend, but does not focus on building the mix voice, which I found wasn't in place as I became a professional. Thank you!!

      I'm learning so much from you, and love your voice.
      Would benefit from a video on how to get my chest voice into head....Broadway singers have that type of power, I never have bc my ranges aren't blending regions 🙏🏻

    Wow, I can totally relate to these exercises! Thanks Coach Tyler!
    The things that give us students hope about being able to get better in singing from my perspective are:
    1) Scientific & technical explanations of how exercises work
    2) Having a coach who is a great singer himself
    Both of which you possess 😁💪🏻
    Keep inspiring Coach! 🔥

    It surely take time to build that muscle sir. It took me a solid 9 months of 2-3 hour practice sessions. I use singing for speech as well. I am fairly comfortable talking to women now. I was talking to a few beautiful girls the other day and usually my voice would get caught in the throat but no I didn't at all. I was able to fully express myself without no fear. I use my training for more than just singing.

    Tyler, your methods seemed odd when I first started following you but they really work. I have been working for months to even get a sense of what my mix would sound like. This and other of your videos finally helped me get it. I kept wondering if my mix was just a strong falsetto but NO, it's not. It's under and over the falsetto. It comes from a different place in a different way AND it has its own cool sound that sounds like chest but high. wooooooohooooo! I'm getting it now. Now my next task is to move into and out of it while singing. Thanks Tyler. Great work.

    I’ve been playing the guitar since 1984 but have recently decided I would like to sing whilst playing. My biggest problem seems to be my range. I can go through the scales and transition in and out of falsetto without too much of a noticeable break. However, whilst actually singing, I have to reach with compression to get the higher notes and it often sounds too loud. If I cross into falsetto, I sound ridiculous. I never realised how difficult singing would be and I wish I had started it years ago instead of in my fifties.

    It is funny everything you said is what we use in opera technique. Verticality, even the use of falsetto to find the mix. Some Italian tenors say that they imagine singing the falsetto but they stay in chest...(loforese) It is still mysterious for me I've always sung in reinforced head because I use to sing 8 years as countertenor so it does not help me 😭 do you think it is possible that all of this works for male tenors? And baritone who ignore they are tenors? I mean for "real" baritones could it be more difficult? I ask this because in the opera world there are many great great baritones who never got more than high G. And they sung very very well though. After 10 years of singing I am truly wondering. Thank you for all those great and generous videos. 🙏🏻

      I don't think vocal type matters that much outside of opera singing, cuz voice types were originally for what role a singer is playing, like dramatic tenor and lyrical tenor for example, that being said all voice types can gain more range

    • @nathanaelselig8595
      @nathanaelselig8595 2 роки тому

      @@xX_N_E_O_Xx in opera we have vocal types cause every singer can't have high C and sing in the high range.. I wish all the old school of bel canto was may be mistaking after all why not... But sometime I wonder why after thousand years of singing it is so harsh for the majority of people to sing there.

    • @xX_N_E_O_Xx
      @xX_N_E_O_Xx 2 роки тому

      Vocal types aren't just about range, there's timber and color too, range isn't fixed or set in stone, Dimash Kudaibergen is an example, despite the disagreement on his vocal type, he songs in low notes and high notes.

    • @nathanaelselig8595
      @nathanaelselig8595 2 роки тому +1

      @@xX_N_E_O_Xx the color have a role BUT the first factor is the tessitura I m sorry. Look at the audition even in musicals they talk about tessitura. To sing a role you need first to be comfortable in the range and have the power. And don't forget something important Dimash sings with a microphone. He could not sing opera without a microphone because he could not apply so much pressure on all his range. I love Dimash but it is just one particular case... The exception which confirm the rule. And to conclude if you were right every single male pop singers would sing high C's high b's because it makes money. People love high notes. But every instrument have not the same capacity. This is nature. Even Tyler who is great cannot do the same as Dimash despite all of his technique and experience. We are not equal.

    • @xX_N_E_O_Xx
      @xX_N_E_O_Xx 2 роки тому

      I know there is a limit to what you can reach even with training, but you still can gain more range.
