  • Creative modern chair built from pallet wood and scrap wood is a look at the creative side of my woodworking. I'll always try to build something creative and interesting. I take a few pieces of wood and make something useful. At the start of the video I show how I glue up some wonky old boards from crates, and another video I show how I square up the thick board using the electric hand planer first and then settling on the jointer for this piece of wood that would soon become the back spine for this chair. the seat portion was another glue up that I wasn't sure what I would do with it. I even used it for some test cuts a few weeks ago but I eventually had to repair by plugging with pieces of wood where necessary.
The back rest was once a tread on our basement stairs and it had its issues as well. The two front legs were glue ups with more of the wonky crate wood, but I was able to square those up on the jointer too. I hope you enjoy creative modern chair built from pallet wood and scrap wood. Please like and subscribe to the channel if you found the video entertaining, also feel free to check out more of my catalog of videos I almost 300 to choose from. Thanks for watching.

So many comments in my mind - all good mind you. But I will leave it at watching you grow in wood working sophistication is awesome. You are an inspiration to both the novice and those that have done this craft for quite some time. I have to smile though - your machinist skills shine thru on every video. Your artistic nature has always been a virtue Roger.

Thanks Dann, I really appreciate that it means a lot to me knowing your experience in woodworking and how long you've done it and some of the awesome projects that you've done in the past. I just enjoy working in the shop and creating and making things. they don't have to be perfect or even have to make money. The joy is taking what's in my mind and making it become a reality. I think that's human nature in a sense. The bonus is that I get to record what I do and share it with others. The beauty of it is that the others are all over the world not just here in my hometown or little bubble.

I like the way your shop is setup and you have your tools organized. That's something I'm working on currently and I appreciate the inspiration. New Sub.
